I'm personally more interested in seeing how Freo play under Ross Lyon. The mini Derby should also be good.
I thought it was hilarious how Swan hadn't realised they had won both games.
Hopefully Freo put up more of a fight than essendon are doing.
To be fair, he's not the sharpest tool in the shed.
Essendon gonna knock out Carlton in the 2nd week of the finals... only thing I'm worried about is losing Hurley to GWS... for Essendon to take that next couple of steps.. Hurley is required or Gumbleton has an amazing run of good health and becomes the player people thought he would be when he was drafted.

Can't see the Hawks losing if they have a good run with injuries.. loses like you had less year against Collingwood can make a team steamroll the next season.

To be fair Essendon didn't have nearly there "A" team as well.
On the other end of the spectrum some of our youngsters looked drunk out there.
Yeah me and my mates have jumped on that. Having a bit of a piss up and barby for our "draft day," should be a lot of fun! DT and SC got really lame last year I found, teams were mostly 90% the same, with a win/loss depending on which random player fluked a good game.
I suck so bad at fantasy sports type deals I can't bring myself to do them, I do the one for F1GAF, and that's it.

I think just like in real life I'll be the only doggy supporter around. We looked average, losing to GWS would've been quite the embarrassment so I'm happy we at least held onto that.
But everyone knows the NAB cup is about getting through without injuries, results are irrelevant.

Not to sure about that we had some players who hadn't played VFL for 2 years....i could name probably about 9-10 of our best 22 that didn't play

Massive Blues fan here. Not getting too far ahead of ourselves but, assuming we are relatively injury free to our top 25 or so players (unlike last year) and I think we have the team to win the flag in 2012! Resting Judd (or bloody giving him a hand every now and then) might improve our chances too this year.

Some great matches this weekend. I was hoping for Port to get 2 wins, but unfortunately the Crows pipped us in the end. I was a little annoyed about the umpires call on the final Port kick out though, but it's only NAB Cup.

The umpiring throughout the whole thing was bizarre - case and point Carlton's 9 pointer at half time vs. Port.
Port looked alright to me. Brad Ebert played quite well. Redden didn't do too bad for his first game in the ruck. Most of our young boys seemed to put in a good effort. I was impressed.
