Any word on the length of the campaign? Is this gonna by a 6-8 hour deal common to multiplayer focused shooters, or will it be beefier than that? Putting a totally separate studio on it makes the latter seem possible, however a 12-15 hour campaign in addition to the rest of the content which sounds like it will already easily exceed Battlefront 1 WITHOUT considering the campaign seems like too much to ask for.

Any word on if they let you find, and enter vehicles this time? I got battlefront when it came out and liked it but I hated the token system. The randomness that kept you from playing how you wanted, combined with the immersion breaking and that every vehicle piloted 1 person was a real shame.

I really wanted to play the first one but I'm PC only so that was a no go. Let's hope they retain some players this time because I would like to jump in.

Holy shit this looks really good - I still hadn't got round to getting the last one but the story mode for this helps sell it, definitely.

So the story will span from end of Jedi to around the start of Awakens? I hope we get some story/levels with Luke, Han and Leia after Jedi ends.

Blown away that local splitscreen coop is exclusive.

I thought that was pretty interesting as well.

I'm waiting for some Pod Racing action for me to confirm my purchase. And for, hopefully, an EA Access Early trial. If they don't give one, I'll be looking for your review on this Karak. :D

what....Darth Maul is in this shit? I'm all in

Walt Williams of Spec-Ops: The Line and Mitch Dyer (formerly IGN) wrote the story. I'm really excited to see how it'll turn out.

The first game was terrible... Wish I had been able to get a refund.

Reviews would have to be very good to put this one into consideration.

Wonder if they'll be able to best the graphics of Battlefront 1 with this?

It's already the best looking game of all time hands down IMO. So I think it would be ok if they didn't and just left it as it is and focused on optimization and gameplay.

I mean, look at this...

All it needs is some gameplay as amazing as the visuals to tie it all together and they could be sitting on a gold mine.

Photos are nice but in gameplay graphics arent nice as these . Also map models and geometry was so bland compared to battlefield games

Even so, I do agree with him. Graphics of the first one were top notch, incremental improvements and optimization will be more than fine.

Some destructibility would be welcome though.

Man, I am so fucking pumped for this game. This and RDR's no PC version are pushing me to a Scorpio.

I haven't been able to watch the entire panel as of yet. But I saw a screenshot of Kylo with his hood up, while in the end of the trailer he has his hood down. Did they mention anything about customization of heroes?

This lives and dies for me on whether they have vehicle/other pick-ups again or actual things you can run to and climb in. First one was just too arcadey.

Man I do hope PSVR support will be a major thing in this, at least let us play all space battles in VR, please? Sony needs to push that way and hard, would be a perfect combo with a 100$ price cut this holiday!!1

This all looks and sound incredible except for the deluxe version which sounds like p2w horsecrap. I hope it isn't as bad as they make it seem. Game could be really something if they manage to improve upon the first game, maybe this time it might even have a somewhat healthy PC playerbase.

I hope they change it.

It's better if you can actually see the vehicles and climb in them

So story mode and space battles are back, which is great, but has anyone said anything about Instant Action/bot battles?

EDIT: Oh shit, classes are back too? If this has Instant Action, this goed to the must-buy list immediately.

You shouldn’t just feel invested in your favourite picks, but like you truly deserved to break them out mid-battle. One of the most dogged criticisms of DICE’s first Battlefront game was that it rarely made you feel like you earned its biggest rewards. Accessing gadgets, vehicles and nigh-unstoppable heroes via floating holographic coins might have made things a little smoother - no more TIE Fighter bunfights as whole teams tried to climb into one cockpit - but it was hardly satisfying. The fact that collecting those power-ups was mostly a matter of good luck at the expense of other players, and that those moments could end pretty suddenly only compounded the issue.

Executive producer Matt Webster summarises that problem well: “it was a brief experience for the lucky few.” It’s clearly a rehearsed line, most likely because a major part of the multiplayer team’s job has been to fix it. While the devs, again, won’t delve deep into exactly how the system will work, we’re told that both heroes and vehicles will now work on what the team calls “a resource-based system”.

Yes Space Battles!

Meh. I personally can't get too excited since it seems its just like Battlefront one. Just dogfights in space. Not the cool stuff we want like piloting into a ship, going on foot, hopping back into your fighter after making damage, and back out to space. Seems its just the same boring dogfight mode from the last game just with space background. Really disappointed. Those maps/modes wheere it was a hybrid of infantry skirmish and space dogfights were the best

Nice to show the movie from them, but what about the game? because thats the reason to buy if the gameplay is good. Don't care that much for the video scenes, i'll do this in the movie theater.

Really hate trailers without ingame footages.

I don't know what platform to get it on.

I'd prefer PC because better graphics/performance over PS4 Pro/Scorpio and being able to play with KB/M. But I am worried that there won't be enough players on PC so would prefer it on PS4 but then I need to play with a controller :(

I originally bought Battlefront on PC but took forever to find games so bought it on PS4.

Go PS4 and then Double Dip on PC when it is cheap enough to justify the purchase for the single player.

While power-ups will seemingly still be scattered around the battlefield, the implication is that players will earn some kind of in-match currency for performing well, then making the decision to trade that in for a rideable Tauntaun(!), or saving it up to step into Darth Maul’s yet-to-be obsolete boots (though that specific decision won’t happen in a single match, as heroes and vehicles are tied to era-appropriate maps). It should also make for a more exciting battlefield experience - the devs openly admit that they want more heroes on the field at once, but that comes at the cost of making them easier to dispatch for regular troopers.

So no vehicles to climb in. More like a killstreak-esque system. I'm fine with this for heroes I guess, but I really wish they'd finally have given us classic Battlefield.

Maybe team will have points and people could buy ships with that point but still stupid why they just dont copy battlefield system

This stuff on Scorpio. Oh my. First one was abit of a let down but i am probably gonna cave. I am weak.

The first one was neccessary for the sequel in its current form to happen.

For a lot of lesson to be learnt. To their credit they did add a lot to the BF1 post launch to minimise the damage.

Still that DLC implementation was whack yo!

I would love this on PC but after how quickly it died I'm frightened I'll be stuck with a $60 paperweight again. Will probably get it on PS4.
