The writing team on this one, notably the writer for Spec Ops gives me hope. Writing is like the most glaring flaw in most video games so if it's good, it stands out.

It's already the best looking game of all time hands down IMO. So I think it would be ok if they didn't and just left it as it is and focused on optimization and gameplay.

Yea. I don't think they really can. Maybe they've learned a few tricks and the extra dev time could have helped them spruce it up but it already looks great.

Getting it to 1080p on base PS4 while maintaining the perfect 60fps would be enough for me. Who knows what they could do on the Pro?

DICE isn't making the campaign for this. Motive is. Jade Raymond's studio.
The single-player campaign has been outsourced to EA's Motive studio, so it should be a more traditional, beefier campaign.

DICE isn't doing the campaign. DICE is doing the main gameplay and ground multiplayer. Motive is doing the campaign. Criterion is doing the Space Battles.

Curious how far we can customise the heroes.
I see they still dont get what kind of space battles we want. From reading the description on the image in the OP its just how Battlefront had Air battles but now in space. I want my space battles that you go into the freight ships and seamlessly exit your fighter to take a point on the ship on foot then fly back out.. You know, how the games on PS2 were able to do!

I hope they understand a lot of people want epic large battles with vehicles that you can get in/out of.
Being able to fly around in space and then land in a hanger and get out on foot to battle inside, that kind of thing is what people want to be able to do.
Just give us BF: BC2 style large maps w/ 64 player dedicated servers, it's not a hard thing to grasp or understand.

Much easier said than done if it looks better than the previous Battlefront. Single player could be 1080p, but multiplayer isn't very likely.

Colour me intrigued, Janina was amazing in Hunt the Truth so I think she can totally carry a SW SP campaign provided they have a decent script which by the sounds of it they have covered.
Just hope they actually deliver on the gameplay. They nailed the graphics and authenticity with the first game hands down no doubt about that however, IMO it was undercut by the painfully mediocre gameplay. It doesn't really matter how good it looks, if at the end of the day the game isn't engaging and fun to play.

Hopefully they bring the 4K textures from PC over to the Scorpio version. It'll look so damn good.
They really need to make more games from the Empires perspective. Can have some pretty great stories from the bad guys perspective.

Trailer was pretty damn cool. I enjoyed the first Battlefront for the time I spent with it (didn't buy any DLC though) so I'm happy to give this a go too. This will sound silly, but I'm not sure if I'm too keen to play a single player campaign from the Empire point of view. For me it was always about the rebels giving the Empire a tough time and I like being the 'good guys' in Star Wars related stuff anyway. Or give me a campaign playing as Darth Vader I guess, I could go with that. Saying that of course I'll give it a fair shot

Scope modification? Hopefully that just means it's an upgrade to an already existing scope.
I hope these "epic abilities" aren't microtransactions and are just early unlocks instead (like with the DL-44 in the first game).
They probably did their research and found very low demand to warrant this feature on PC.
I wonder if it isn't actually more work not to include it, since it's already on the consoles and the game is developed on PCs.
Who knows, perhaps someone should tweet them or something lol

Did they give details on the splitscreen? The one from the previous game was heavily neutered. Nothing at all like the first two games where every mode was available.

God dammit why the hell are they keeping splitscreen off PC again. Why? It makes no goddamn sense. The code is there.
Why? 20v20 is fine.
Never got peoples obsession with bigger = better.
Only go bigger if it actually does something with it.
