That's exactly how early seasons played out before they instituted that rule.

Not even. There's no 'rule' about clumping, it's just something that they attempt to cause for the reasons stated. They've simply gotten vastly better at it over time. The very first season had clumping points, all of them do. Heck there are teams that get vastly better flights in the first few legs sometimes, if that lead maintained and only grew? it would become ridiculous. Even now it's not unheard of for teams to check in up to 12 hours ahead of time at a pit stop, if those leads weren't diminished we'd have no show. Was it satisfying that the Guidos were eliminated remotely because they were 24 hours or more behind in season 1? Sure, but we also were lucky that Frank and Margarite were still somewhat close too, otherwise it would've just been Rob and Brennan being a day ahead for the previous like 4 legs.

I don't think my favorite team has ever won the race, and this year will be no exception now that
the cowboys
are gone.

Yay! I hate everybody left!
We're supposed to be cheering for Dave & Connor.
Didn't you see that tear trickle down Dave's face as Phil asked him how proud he was of his son?
That was a "please cheer for these cancer survivors and their new Ford Mustangs" tear.

Brenchels are great.

But I must have missed something - why couldn't Dave and Connor use a u-turn?

And the Cowboys must have blew it somewhere, and they edited to make it look like the Country Stars were more lost than they actually were.

Sorry, I must have missed it since they were too busy talking about being cancer survivors the old man's torn whatever being U-turned like it was the kiss of death how bad people Brenchel are for U-turning them being a 60 year old man and how dare they U-turn a 60 year old man! hating on Brenchel.

I think everyone forgotten that Dave and Connor U-turned Leo and Jamel. And you can only use one U-turn per season.

Well the Cowboys got lost a lot this episode and had to run back in the bull detour to reread the sign they missed so that probably put them pretty behind.

Brenchel surprised me again by checking in second despite having a bad cab driver and being on the second flight with what must have been a half-hour deficiency with the first two teams.

Well, they wouldn't have done out had the Afghanimals not have that knee injury, but it was still surprising.

I'm so happy that Brenchel are doing well, the only good outcome to this season will be if Brenchel wins, because as unlikable as they are, they are much much more likable than the other teams left. I actually was okay with Dave/Connor the first time they played, but I cant get over the entitlement they have now.

Oh right. I forgot that too. lol
And the Cowboys must have gotten lost pretty badly for them to not make the u-turn. I hate the editing on this show sometimes. I'd rather just know where people are rather than have this fake "it's so close" drama.

Ugh I need the country girls out. Their attitude and obsession with the Brenchel is disgusting. If another team isn't helping them, the show is with their non-elimination legs and u-turns. -___-

The father/son team are really annoying now, too. Does the father expect an (express) pass to the finish just because he's 60?

As much as I dislike Leo & Jamal, kudos to them for U-Turning the strongest team against the will of the rest of that godawful alliance.

The Country Singers have to be the luckiest team in the history of the entire race. Assuming they don't get into the F3, they will have managed to get carried to the Final 4 in TAR22, be asked to return, and then get carried to the Final 4 AGAIN in TAR24.

Brenchel needs to win this now, any other result would be très horrible.

Lame Final 3, idk what reason I have to watch.

Dave and Connor, I guess? They're pretty cool sometimes but not my favorite.

Nat and Kat werent' your favorites?! :(

Hmm, maybe they were actually. But that season was one of the weaker ones- I couldn't remember anyone in it from memory before looking them up!

But yeah, they probably were.

I actually thought Season 17 was one of their strongest in recent memories. All the teams were somewhat decent, the tasks and locations were great. That was one of the more recent seasons where we had a lot of self-driving in a race. The drama was also great: at least each team had something to do and had a storyline without necessarily having allies like this season.

Plus, aside from Nat/Kat, that season had Brook/Claire, and Gary/Mallory. The early boots were also interesting teams such as the Singing Ivy Leaguers and the cutthroat volleyball girls. I remembered that season getting a lot of flak from Kevin/Michael fans because they thought CBS was racist for not showing them enough (unlike Joey/Meghan). Thing is: all the other teams had storylines and it was a busy season so they sort of fell in to the dust.

So what happened to the rule that they had to do an even number of roadblocks? Connor has done 7 and Dave has only done 4. Maybe he has to do 2 in the finale lol
Somehow I doubt CBS will hold him to it.
They're invoking the Zach & Flo "exception" because we should all want to see the old guy win.
I'm sure Connor will do all of the roadblocks in the last leg "just because".

Don't tell CBS that a North American father-son team already won The Amazing Race, either. (Granted, it was Amazing Race Canada... but I'm counting it.)

Man, another case of bad driving seemingly killing a team. They must have gotten REALLY lost if they lost even after the Brenchels had to redo the task.

I thought the whole canal ship was pretty amazing.

Meh, can Dave do anything? I mean the Country Girls were carried around earlier but at least they can do tasks. Not even going to do the roadblock?

Well at least there's one more episode left. Then I can look forward to the international editions now since I probably won't be hating everyone from the get go.

That's actually exactly how it's going to play out, Dave is gonna have to do the last two (7-6 is an acceptable split). You could tell Connor was concerned about it the way he was asknig his dad "You sure you want me to do this?" or whatever.

I bet it bites em in the ass.

This is probably the worst final three ever. I'm pretty disappointed. Afghanimals and Cowboys were by far my favourites.

First we have Team Holier Than Thou: Dave and Connor. Good racers, but complain about everything and act better than everyone. Humble? Anything but. I'd say that they should lose but they would probably say how could you want a 60 year old to lose?

Then we have Team "We're just girls, we can't do anything" Country Girls.

The Country Girls have had their neck saved twice, and were given a free pass on the soccer task. This is from earlier in the season when they had to get the pass from the cowboys early in the season after proclaiming that they were just girls and girls can't do the put things together task when they couldn't assemble the kid's car. At least Meghan from the Youtubers was there to call out their BS.

It makes me angry that these teams can win. At least Team Brenchel are less annoying but still I can't stand that she just loses her cool right away the moment something goes wrong. Hopefully, they win since I'd rather they have the money.

They should just put Bopper and Mark back together and have them race the final leg together. Even that would produce a more satisfying winner than any of the teams we have left.
I would also settle for Phil running the final leg by himself.

How can you like the brenchels. So much respect lost for gaf.

She is literatally one of the most annoying females I've seen. That face...

This is the worst amazing race cast ending yet.

I'll be ok if they pair up a camel and a donkey and had them run the last leg.

I feel like EVERY time it finishes in Vegas, they don't have any kind of mental challenge that can be any sort of equalizer. I hate races basically coming down to cabs. The last challenge should ALWAYS be fucking difficult imo.

What a letdown. Terrible finale. No skill required in any of the challenge. Came down to a taxi race and just being quicker at spotting the clue box.

The Copperfield thing wasn't even fun or spectacular.

Every time Dave talks all I can think of is Mr. Adler from South Park.
