Playing it on PS5 from my old PS4 save.
Didn’t have to import anything. It was automatic which is pretty cool.
I go back and forth between modes but prefer performance. RT shadows are lovely though so if there’s a heavy shadow scene I switch back to check how it’s looking.
Game is still so bugged. Main characters walking through furniture during cutscenes. Police shooting with their backs turned to you. NPCs appearing/disappearing in front of you. Cars randomly explode. It’s so rough.
The L3 toggle to run is also super hit and miss. Don’t know what’s up with that.
Dual sense implementation is great and guns feel very different.
I also prefer performance (and usually I'm a fidelity over frame rate type of person if it's worth it, I've been playing Uncharted remaster at 4k and I will be playing Horizon in 4k mode given how better it looks) but here there's something weird with the 30fps mode.
As soon as you move the camera (even just a panning left and right) there is an aggressive post processing effect that blurs the image even if motion blur is turned off in the menu.
60fps actually looks cleaner. Also it feels heavy and floaty to play.
So I'm looking forward to see if DF, NX and others can explain what's going on.
The ray traced shadows have a really subtle impact that is hard to notice unless you switch continously between modes looking hard for differences.
Ray traced reflections would have changed the situation but unfortunately they couldn't implement them.
