I would more see the Series S dropping $50 but the Series X staying $499 to go toe to toe with the PS5 Disc version. If they dropped Series S and added like 6 months of Game Pass Ultimate i think it would move a lot of units.

There's something seriously wrong at xbox if this turns out to be true. It would show no confidence in their products being competitive at the current prices and/or the pre-order numbers are abysmal compared to PS5.

Oh man the ONE thing i hope could ever be true in this most likely total BS leak is the announcement of a new Titan Fall. I LOVE love love this series.
I'd freak out if they did put on a surprise show tomorrow and Larry Hyrb came out and said his famous line "But have you seen Titan Fall?" and then the announcer belts out "Xbox Console Exclusive"

Even though I don't think a price cut is happening, watching the fanboys freak out and do mental gymnastics to spin a price reduction into a negative is truly special. I guess they didn't have this concern last generation when the PS4 was $100 cheaper and that it was Sony showing weakness and fear of being unable to compete with the Xbox One.

I thought they weren’t in direct competition with Sony? If this is legitimate, it sure seems that way. I feel that they should at least see how it performs before dropping the price because you never know.
