Lethal01, you have a warped sense of imagination about me. If I was starting something with that comment without mentioning anything specifically, the mods would have banned me as they did last week. However, the people who came out and *did* start up a PC vs. PS5 thread got banned. Sometimes, you really need to take a step back and ask yourself if every single time I post is geniune or not. Believe it or not, I do have decent conversation.
Back on topic because any further comments about this will be YOU causing the thread to be derailed by simply you accusing me of shit for no reason.
Seems we aren't frequenting the same forum, because in this forum the amount of Sony fans claiming that the UE5 demo couldn't run on PC or Xbox without compromises was MASSIVE.
yep, the documentation show a good 4-5 list of limitation for non statics content (for now)
i think we can expect lot of project in rock desert at some point !
the day about the end of the i/o streaming bs is coming ?
what?the day about the end of the i/o streaming bs is coming ?
i mean soon they will release the PS5 demo so we can see the 3090 lag or not? ahahha /sActually confirmed. According to Epic, this new demo is hundreds of millions of polygons vs hundreds of billions of polygons in the older UE5 demo on PS5. It's like 1000% difference.
Also the older one was 1440p, the new one is 1080p.

You managed to turn a technical thread into a PS5 vs PC
are epic gonna proof what they said last year releasig the same demo on PC or they will be cowards?)what?
Unlike the UE5 demo thread of last year, which was not at all a bunch of Sony fans claiming that the PS5 was above anything else, PC included. I guess that was VFXVeteran fault, too.
And there wasn't much warring because it was really hard to contradict anything on that thread without being met with dogpiling, personal attacks and the like. Sony fans were too ecstatic believing their own lies about the magical power of the PS5 to care about anything else.
Many many people assumed that the scene last year was maxing out the PS5's I/O system. Only real developers knew this was not the case. We had no idea what the data rate was or what was being streamed on-the-fly. As it turns out, it was more a marketing scheme for Sony and it worked.
I don't think the best way to defend him it's persist with the console war...Unlike the UE5 demo thread of last year, which was not at all a bunch of Sony fans claiming that the PS5 was above anything else, PC included. I guess that was VFXVeteran fault, too.

Its funny because I watched his stream and it lagged hard on his rig. But keep on with your interpretation of all this stuff though. Its highly amusing. Those are requirements to create a game in the engine. To run the demo only, doesn't require that much RAM. A random guy @Red_Driver85 posted running it on a live stream had a 3090 with high framerate, and he was running it on a HDD . Fucking Tim Sweeney had you and several others looking real foolish today. Of course marketing deals and PR will be out there, but it's easier to use common sense to realize Reality>>>>>Marketing PR. It's like believing in Santa Claus or that the Tooth fairy is real.
No where in this 15 minute preview did we see the use of the SSD like we did in U5 PS5 demo where the character was flying through the air to a new area in the long distance.
and this because of the demo was just like that or because PCcan't handle it ? what you think?Actually confirmed. According to Epic, this new demo is hundreds of millions of polygons vs hundreds of billions of polygons in the older UE5 demo on PS5. It's like 1000% difference.

is not the same demo dudeare epic gonna proof what they said last year releasig the same demo on PC or they will be cowards?)
Not really, time stamped, the faster you can stream from SSD, the smaller your memory requirement, look there is even a little circle to explain it.
Everyone knew exactly what was meant. I guess 64 MB is a solution, do you ever think it will get to 128 MB RAM requirement ?
this demo clear has some downgrades. animations really stand out, too stiff.
and no. im not implying is because it was running on ps5 before. just heads up b4 people jump on me
So just as I was afraid last yer, this number confirms that we can forget about that kind of level of details in games, a whole game looking like that would be in terabytes, so it ain't gonna happen, the artist will still have to cut down the polygons of their model because of the disk space restraints.
and this because of the demo was just like that or because PCcan't handle it ? what you think?
This demo was clearly downgraded compared with the last year one... even the IQ shows that.this demo clear has some downgrades. animations really stand out, too stiff.
and no. im not implying is because it was running on ps5 before. just heads up b4 people jump on me
We literally see the character teletransporting to a totally different area in 1 second.
i know. im just a little disappointed.animations are not a limitation though. they just weren't focusing on that.
and this because of the demo was just like that or because PCcan't handle it ? what you think?
PC needs 64GB RAM for the new version, so what do you think?
i think you may need to check into a mental ward

Maybe you need to watch only 25min (both videos) of what Epic said instead of throwing insults.
I wish they`d demoed a different landscape this time.
Static Grand-Canion-esque landscapes have been looking mighty fine for quite a while now thanks to photogrammetry.
I want to see how a jungle or a savannah , something with a lot of dynamic vegetation, looks with UE5.
It was Epic saying... not him.i think you may need to check into a mental ward
You can look at the video you know. No lagging or hitches, while running the EDITOR. Once you finally realize how much power it takes to run, you'll realize how intensive it is. They were utilizing much more memory on last year demo running the editor on PC, as well as this year. Running the editor uses more resources than the baked demo on both of the consoles. But you already knew this I'm sure. Its funny because I watched his stream and it lagged hard on his rig. But keep on with your interpretation of all this stuff though. Its highly amusing.
already did
It was Epic saying... not him.
3 seconds and it's a transition
Actually you are wrong...wrong
Actually you are wrong...
It was Epic saying... not him.
Because you are not right... you are dead wrong.how can i be wrong when i'm right

It can't run with less ram? That's interesting you are using the recommended specs, vs the ones stated by Epic to run the demo @ 30fps. We should use the truth from now on, instead of hoping others won't notice, agreed?PC needs 64GB RAM for the new version, so what do you think?
its to run within the editor.PC needs 64GB RAM for the new version, so what do you think?
Because you are not right... you are dead wrong.
