Wow, the progress this mod has made is incredible. Like, the comparisons are seriously amazing. Maybe this is out of the scope of this mod but is there anyway to correct some of the aiming drift that's in this game?
Aiming drift? I've played RE4 at least a dozen times across different platforms and have never had an issue with this.

This is almost a bigger deal than anything else in the HD project. The PS2 assets always stuck out against the gamecube ones.

I think he's referring to the aim bobbing that occurs. It's programmed into the game and the game is balanced around it being there. Why he thinks a graphical overhaul mod would be changing something like that I certainly don't understand.
Yes but I've noticed in this version it seems WAY more dramatic than it previously was in previous versions of the game for the GCN and PS2. Maybe I'm wrong and it is in no way a game breaker but definitely annoying. I just asked here because yes this is a thread for a visual mod for RE4 but it's still a RE4 mod thread so I just thought I would ask.
Due to 60fps the aim bobbing is faster, it doesn't effect me but I can see where they coming from.I didn't notice it when playing the UHD version, but I was using the Steam pad in kb+m mode to get gyro aim working. I guess it's possible that there's more drift when using a 360 pad, but I've never heard of it.

Yup! During the cutscene when the ganados enter that building you see that the door opens on the opposite side, meaning the keyhole was on the wrong side.Is there a reason that the keyhole on the door is now on the opposite side?

Potentially, and nice thinking. At the same time it's really the large red emblem on the door that most distinguishes that door. Either way they should have communicated it to the cut-scene animator.Ah, okay. I just wondered if the keyhole was on the left of the door to act as a subtle distinction from the rest of the village doors to show that it's different.

Have a nice Sunday!
Between this mod and the recent frame rate interpolation mod for HALO, I'm so pumped to replay some awesome games.
Great job, looks amazing, but what happened to the mist in the shed picture? I feel that gave the area such a creepy atmosphere. One more update!

The mist / fog is intact it just ebbs and flows and the screenshots were taken at different times.Yeah, I dig the mist too. Ive never played the Ada missions so I dont know how it looked in practice but that screenshot is interesting. All of the other updates are lovely.
Has any work been done yet on the enemy models?
I'd be interested to see what you could do for some of the monsters.
I'm sure they've earned the benefit of doubt. This is just about the only thing I'm worried about. You spend so much of the game seeing the various character models that I'm concerned that changing them, even if for the better, will make them look off.

Really looking forward this. Shame I still haven't found a way of playing RE4 without crashing every 15 minutes.

Since you are pretty much replacing and updating anything in the game, would it be asking for too much if you could (once this thing get's fully released at some point) also release a mod for the button prompts?
I mean, something for Dualshock-type controllers, besides the existing Xbox-type ones.
I refuse to play the PC version of this game until this mod is completed
