LG65C8 oled. I think its where I had my ps5 resolution set to automatic. I set the resolution to 3840 x 2160p - 60hz and that has fixed it and all three graphic modes appear sharper and improved! Must be a bug with the ps5 resolution set to automatic. I panicked before I found a fix.I haven’t noticed anything. Looks great to me. What tv are you using?
This happened to me when I was playing in Performance RT mode and switched to Fidelity to try it out. It looked way below 30fps for some reason. Restarting the game fixed it for me though.Something seemed off in fidelity for me. I'm usually someone who plays everything in 30fps/graphics mode (even FPS games like Cyberpunk) but somehow fidelity mode seemed choppy for me. Is it constant 30fps? It felt like it was dropping frames left and right but not sure if thats actually the case or just my imagination.
Ended switching to performance RT after 5min and it runs extremely smooth.
Can you elaborate?OMG I've been playing the game at 1080p in RT mode due to the new PS5 120hz setting. My display can't do 4K 120hz but it can do 1080p 120hz so PS5 decided to out put the game at that resolution, no wonders i thought it looked so low res. So head up folks.
You have a last gen avatar.you are playing at last gen resolution tho : /
Seems that way huh? Until you play fidelity in 4k on an OLED...in a completely darkened roomKnowing nothing about this game but being a fan of the PS2/3 games, it seems like of these options 60fps RT is an absolute no brainer.
Only two tvs in the market can do 120 fps at 4k. Lg cx and don't x900h. And their new 2021 models. Can you elaborate?
See my post above. Do you have a tv that supports native 4k 120 fps? Change that setting in your console and see if it improves the quality in performance rt mode. 1440p with TAA should not be blurry at all.30 FPS only looks bad when you switch from 60 to 30 FPS. That being said, the image quality is too god damn soft in 60 FPS RT mode for me to stomach when comparing it to fidelity mode.
I dont know if you're following the jokes or saying it literally. You have a last gen avatar.

All other tv's can only do 120 fps at 1080p. That's why HDMI 2.1 was such a big deal.
So even though the resolution of performance rt is 1440p 60 fps, all tv's without hdmi 2.1 support run the game at 1080p instead of 1440p. You end up losing almost 80% more pixels.
Disable the setting on your console and it should go to native 4k 60 fps mode. Should get a significant boost.
This is the reason, it was forcing it down to 1080p for 120. I shut that shit off. Looks much better.See my post above. Do you have a tv that supports native 4k 120 fps? But i agree. People are making a huge mistake switching. You don't switch.
I get you. So what setting exactly am I disabling?Only two tvs in the market can do 120 fps at 4k. Lg cx and don't x900h. And their new 2021 models.

What?? I tested performance and performance RT today and they look PS4 Pro in comparison. Lighting in Fidelity mode is the closest to render lighting I've seen in a videogame. There is almost no difference between Fidelity and Performance RT. So, Perf RT
That is not true. There is almost no difference between Fidelity and Performance RT. So, Perf RT
in the ps5 video settings, go to the 120 hz setting and change it from automatic to disabled.I get you. So what setting exactly am I disabling?
Its not just the resolution that decreases but scene density. Less traffic/ships in the skybox. Less density in foilage,Fidelity.
It looks so beautiful. But im going to switch to Performance RT. It seems its just drops in resolution during action. This is the only game Ray Tracing makes such a difference, that I neeed it. Im happy that I dropped 10 dollars more for Deluxe. You earn 100% in game.
Whoever is saying there is a major difference bw fidelity and Perf RT should check this video out:
Honestly, please list the differences that make you sacrifice 60FPS + RT.
Digital Foundry talked about this in their Performance review of R&C. If you have PS5 Settings > Screen and Video > Video Output > Enable 120Hz Output > Automatic set AND your screen supports 120Hz, then PS5 will output a 4K or 1080p 120Hz signal defending on what your TV supports when you are playing in Performance Mode. My TV only support 1440p/1080p/120Hz so the PS5 switched to 1080p (as PS5 doesn't support 1440p output) when ever I turned on Performance Mode output from the game, making me thing the game had a really blurry low quality performance mode. After turning of the PS5 setting the image is now very good looking and sharp. If you TV supports 4K/120Hz then you wouldn't necessarily notice a difference but most TV don't.Can you elaborate?
Not even DF could perceive a difference worth noting. In fact, they made a point of that. What?? I tested performance and performance RT today and they look PS4 Pro in comparison. Lighting in Fidelity mode is the closest to render lighting I've seen in a videogame.
It amazes me how people can't perceive those differences. I honestly envy you. I wish I couldn't perceive graphical differences, I would play everything at 60fps.
Seriously? I thought they were more sensitive to that. Maybe I would need to say that I'm artist working in the industry so I'm very very sensitive to graphic changes. Not even DF could perceive a difference worth noting. In fact, they made a point of that.

I think that's a case of good ol' placeboI think is a personal choice. I don't need to make a list. I simply changed to both performance modes and immediately game looked like last gen for me. Returning to Fidelity made the game to looks like next gen again. I can't explain why, but I felt it instantly.
I play on a LGCx 65" very close to the TV.
Did you turn of Chromatic Aberration under Visuals? Are you sure you are not mistaking it for foveated rendering?I just realized they are using lower resolution on the edges of the screen in performance RT mode. someone who pixel counts could confirm but it’s quite obvious and reminds me of VR games. The image for objects in the center are of higher resolution.
Edit* actually a good chunk of the left and right of the screen are clearly lower res. foreveated rendering I think they call it?
Tested and it’s in fidelity mode too.
Edit again* It’s chromatic abrasion as pointed out in another thread.
it was CA, I shut it off after another poster called it out.Did you turn of Chromatic Aberration under Visuals? Are you sure you are not mistaking it for foveated rendering?
