As many of us expected, not all preorder secure day one PS5 delivery after Sony begins to deliver launch date ashipment allocation info to retailers.
Sony has started informing retailers of their PlayStation 5 launch day allocation | VGC
UK retailer ShopTo says some PS5 pre-orders won’t arrive on day one…www.videogameschronicle.com
Yours is 28th? That is weird, mine from Shop To says 31st lol.Ya i got my Shopto Day one pre-order confirmation yesterday. However you have to pay for it by 28th October. I paid for mine yesterday to get it outta the way. also got Demon souls and spider man and an extra controller coming as well
Need to book a weeks Annual Leave for this and Cyberpunk 2077 same week nice
Isnt shopto banned from neogaf? I know we werent allowed to talk about them in 2014.
When you pay, only pay for two items within 3 hours. Buying 3 items triggers ShopTo’s fraud system and will freeze your payments. Read this on Twitter yesterday as a few people were having this issueYours is 28th? That is weird, mine from Shop To says 31st lol.
Guess it is a way to stagger incoming payments.
Will remember that mate, thank you. When you pay, only pay for two items within 3 hours. Buying 3 items triggers ShopTo’s fraud system and will freeze your payments. Read this on Twitter yesterday as a few people were having this issue
Yea you are right lolHaha. Pathetic if true, a ban on discussing a retailer. No doubt the loser who brought that rule in has made their way to ResetEra.
ShopTo are my go-to choice actually, usually the cheapest for new releases and the games come a day early more often than not. Their handling of PS5 pre-orders was a mixed-bag, it rewards people like me who registered an interest earlier in the year though obviously a lot of people who made it after the recent event feel misled.
Song screwed the pooch all the way around here. Each retailer should have had allotment numbers based on MINIMUM manufacturing numbers, and should only have gotten better in the weeks following the initial ore order phase, meaning the initial pre orders are covered, and having more units available for pre order periodically leading up to launch. Horrible job all the way around.
If they took too many pre orders it’s because they either didn’t get allotment figures from Sony, OR even worse, they did get allotment numbers from Sony then were told by Sony they couldn’t meet them all.How is a retailer taking too many orders Sony's fault??

Any reason as to why? They've been excellent for me and thousands of others.ShopTo are absolute sheisters. Scum of the highest order.
Pre-ordered a highly exclusive item from them (Ni No Kuni Wizards edition).Any reason as to why? They've been excellent for me and thousands of others.
Strangely both me and my sister ordered when they first started, sadly she got the bad news emailYep. I expressed my interest back in March, which is when they take the priority in the queue from. Was painless. Amazon I just went on for the DE and am hoping I get one. UK Amazon are quite good I believe though.
They don't take any money and tell you not to prepay until it's confirmedBecause then they can't take everyone's money.
I've never seen this, the price you pre-ordered at is the price you pay even if it goes up in price, unless it's reduce and they automatically reduce itPre-ordered a highly exclusive item from them (Ni No Kuni Wizards edition).
Then they emailed and said that the price had gone up and I had to pay more.
After I paid that they tripled the price on the postage claiming it had to be sent by courier rather than post.
When I asked for why and proof of the courier costs they cancelled my pre-order.
Took three months to get my money back.
They are scum.
What's worse?
Not getting a PS5 on launch day
Or
Getting an Xbox One X on XSX launch day?
I'll have to be the spoiler and tell you that anyone that put down $0 towards a ps5 preorder will not get one. They don't take any money and tell you not to prepay until it's confirmed
Thats literally not how it works at all here in the US. Online retailers dont charge until it ships. And in stores like gamestop dont go by who pays the most.I'll have to be the spoiler and tell you that anyone that put down $0 towards a ps5 preorder will not get one.

The biggest retailer in the world does not charge anyone until their preorder dispatches, this is a pure allocation issue, money is only an issue if someone misses the date the console needs to be paid by or goes with a retailer that charges on the spot.I'll have to be the spoiler and tell you that anyone that put down $0 towards a ps5 preorder will not get one.

Man, what a shitshow. Sony seems to have really mishandled this entire launch. Shameful.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted in the gaming side, but look at my history and you’ll see I’m no fan of Xbox. I just don’t pull punches when I think one of these companies is fucking up.Trolling must be fun. Gotta root for team Green a see.
Not really....I'm much more excited for PS5 but that doesn't change how messy this launch is. I'm mostly following news on PS5 but I feel like I know more Xbox Series X/S than I know about PS5.Trolling must be fun. Gotta root for team Green a see.

Games also my reason choosing PS5 over Series X but it wouldn't hurt Sony be more open about their system thats about to come out, for example: I would like them to release simple video of how BC is going to work on PS5, what games are supported? Can I simply put PS4 disk on PS5 and play my PS4 games on it? I just want proper preview of PS5.You do know more about the Xbox Series than PS5. That's correct. Doesn't mean MS is handling their launch better. Here's the thing......I buy consoles to play their games, not watch Youtubers preview and review them for 20 minutes a clip. I care "more" about the games I'll be playing than what the UI looks like or some internal teardown of the system.

Cue I'm proud to be an American music.
In best buy I trust with my preorder.
Really? I haven't paid a penny and my order says confirmed for day oneI'll have to be the spoiler and tell you that anyone that put down $0 towards a ps5 preorder will not get one.
It says in the OP that shopto did pre-preorders. As in they asked for people to preorder their preorder before stock allocation. This is fine as long as people knew they were just registering in a line.Shouldn't those numbers been given to retailers before pre-orders opened? Man, Sony is off to a BLISTERING start already.
I heard amazon took 250,000 orders alone and sold out in minutes . Not sure how true that is thoughThis whole saga doesn't make any sense to me. It's not like millions of people pre-ordered in a matter of less than an hour at Amazon. And, the launch is more than a month away.
Isn't it simple matter of telling Sony we need x number of ps5, which I think no where near a million, and just get them ready in a month of time? For a giant retailer like Amazon, it should be a simple matter assuming Sony's claim of over 10 million units for the next few months of launch.
any word from gamestop?
