So Sony will need to do 10.9 million in Q3 and 5.9 in Q4, to hit their 25 million target. Do you think that's reasonable considering what they did last year?

I think something like 10m and 4.5m for a FY total of 22.7m.

Those discussing someone taking a chunk of COD, while I don't doubt that it is desirable (Blundell having his own Sony studio surely has this aim), one of the key elements that makes COD unassailable is their release cadence.

Even if a studio were to make a genuine competitor, would they be able to go again the next year? The year after that. Almost the entirety of Activision is focused on that cadence.

The only way that it can happen long term would be to have a GAAS game that evolves over multiple years to take on Warzone.

And that's precisely why it's unrealistic to expect them to take any significant amount of the workforce that sustains their biggest seller to revive some long dormant IP.
