If the ps5 version is no diffrent from the ps4 version minus a texture, 4k 60fps boost then this is disgusting when 3rd party studios are doing the ps5 versions for free. I'm guessing god of war is the same. Looks like I'll be going back to physical for Sony releases. I brought rachet and clank brand new for £35 off eBay recently rather than the £70 on psn because I refuse to pay the 70.

I don't think there's much common sense having a $10 difference between the same game, nevermind that they're both on Sony consoles.
I wonder if Sony ever releases the game on PC, will they also put out two versions? $60 for limited graphics and $70 for unlimited graphics?

Its simple..... if you plan to get a PS5 but you have a PS4 and want to play the game at launch on PS4 than just spend the extra $20 and get the Deluxe edition or don't buy the game until you can get a PS5.
PS4 edition = $60
PS5 edition = $70
PS4 edition + PS5 edition + Bonus Content = $80
I believe the directors cut for Ghost of Tsushima was actually more expensive with a $30 upgrade fee for PS5 owners with the standard PS4 edition of Ghost of Tsushima who purchased the PS4 game at launch.
(At launch) Ghost of Tsushima on PS4 = $60
Ghost of Tsushima directors cut for PS5 upgrade= $30
Total = $90

Actually, no. The game started development on PS4 and it was later decided to release it on ps5 as well.

Having to pay more for the ability to have both version is a joke when you can't keep the systems in stock. At the very least include an upgrade path. At the absolutely very fucking least, if you get the PS5 version you should have access to the PS4 version. Give people the ability to pay now if they plan on getting a PS5 instead of making the shell out even more.
This is far more complicated than it should be. You buy the game, you get both versions and be done with it you greedy fucks.

No, quite true, they don't rise to meet inflation - but they do rise somewhat and the cost of everything goes up. It's a separate (very real) issue to the price of video games which, to be honest, are better value than ever before compared to a lot of other superfluous crap. £70 does still feel like a kick in the teeth though, I'm with you.
Read it again, I made the same mistake. They worded it very carefully, it does not include Horizon. They moved the part about free upgrades for launch games to a later paragraph sneakily.

"Those games" is obviously vague and can omit HFW
You need the full interview from Jim to understand... he was talking about the PS5 launch games... this quote specifically.
