The truth is, no one knows which games are coming. IN MY OPINION, the more the better, PC gamers have to experience such great games.

That was just first month numbers, and like i said, its 5 years old so of course it wouldnt get close to PS4 launch numbers. If they launched day and date then numbers would of been way higher obviously.
I'll try and find that article, i'm pretty sure it was posted on here as i only really come here for my videogame news. Steam Spy just has it listed as 1mil-2mil, and its been like that for months -

Its numbers will be well over 2mil now, if not 3mil.
If you think Sony were expecting more than that, they wouldnt of outsourced the game on the cheap to a studio that has done dodgy PC ports in the past.

The game prices going up, the lack of communication, the promise of next gen games and then the following bait and switch to cross gen games. Then this....
I see Microsoft investing probably over 10 billion in studios and no increase in prices.
I just feel like they are treating PlayStation fans like shit..... we are out in the dark and just here to be exploited in the mind of Jim Ryan.

Nintendo, the only gaming company that hasn't grown since the 2000s, is a midget soon to be overtaken by Microsoft.

That said, Sony games on PC is a double-edged sword.

Day's Gone biggest issue on PS4 was it's framerate and aiming with a controller sucks. I'm very happy to hear that it's gonna come to PC and fix these issues. A very underrated game. Fighting a horde was so fun and exhilarating.

With the "supposed" large amount of PC gamers and the already established solid reputation it should of done better vs the "supposed" much smaller PS4 install base don't you think?
These kinda numbers will keep current Sony made PS5 exclusives,exclusive this gen.

Well those prices alone is why I choose not to support playstation right on with a hope that others will also express their unhappiness towards this decision. I was doing same last gen with Xbox One. I got it....way later for Forza Horizon 2, but fundamentaly it pissed me off that console sucked.
102USD for Demons souls digital, well fuck that, that's a year of GamePass for me and that's just crazy. Sure GamePass does not have to have all the games I want and those I buy, but not for this fucking price hike.
So I do fully understand this sentiment, but with Sony simps around I don't think that Jim Ryan has bad sleep from all of that.

Sony and Nintendo both dominate in games and consoles sold because of having exclusives.
Xbox 360 it's games and Xbox Live did better than XBO and it's services because of exclusives.

Yeah that's great, but there's no way I'm going PC only for PS4 (PS3) games.
And at the end of the day we're still waiting for The Last of Us 1 to be announced.

Sony just shot themselves in the foot.
I don't know how much the rest of you know about Sony culture (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is at Microsoft where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over at Sony, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.
What this means is the Sony fans, after hearing about this, are not going to want to purchase games for either system, nor will they purchase any of Sony's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Sony has alienated an entire market with this move.
Sony, publicly apologize and cancel Day's Gone for PC or you can kiss your business goodbye.

With as long as those trailers had to be prepared there is 0% chance they were mistakes... just major damage control following the trailers because they were worried it would hurt console sales. Now that there will be a major console shortage for the foreseeable future that doesn't really matter and they can roll out their PC plans like originally intended.

But the game would of done much better if the game had launched day and date with PS4. Its an old game, and a port that had a lot of problems. Roughly 3mil sales is really good for such an old game, and i'd literally bet my right hand that its numbers are higher than Sony expected.
I mean people say Horizon was a test case, and now here we are with more games coming, so obviously it did well in Sony's eyes.
Also PC has way more games than all consoles put together. PC gamers are not waiting around for new games to play, like console users do week to week.
If we ever get day and date launches with PS5, you will see big numbers on PC.

Nah. Those numbers are great for a cheap port of a 10 year old game that's mediocre (as recently reclassified by SonyGAF, shortly after the news of the PC release surfaced...coincidence, I'm sure) at best.

This we can agree on, if you like a game wouldnt you want more people to play it? Why would you gatekeep it, unless you are afraid of casualization of the game series (that is a legitimate concern, just look at fallout)

Exclusive counts for 80% of switch software and I believe is only 30% for ps.

I've given a lot of information throughout the last year pertaining to the changed mentality of Sony. The TLoU 1 port wasn't the only single piece of information that's valuable here. It's the change in philosophy that's important. Sony is going forward with PC support for their 1st party titles. Period. The graphics engines are being rewritten for a more portable pipeline (i.e. won't be any special coding just for one platform anymore). This is not a one shot deal for a PS4 game. It's bigger than that. If you are looking for 1 game to come out to admit my informative contacts are legit, you are missing the point entirely.

Though I have been wary of Sony ever since they started shutting down studios. Zipper, Guerrilla Cambridge, Bigbig Studios, Incognito all in a span of a couple of years. Evolution Studios was the nail in the coffin for me. I've always said nobody cares about fans. They are all suits who just want to line up their own pockets. I was a fan of Sony not because of Sony the corporation but because of their games, and now Sony is holding back their games by launching them on PS4, and forcing their devs to waste their time fixing bugs for a PC port instead of releasing 60 fps patches for the same game for the people who made the game a success in the first place.

I've always worked at big companies with tons of brands and products. Some make more money than others. Some lose money. The products dropped the fastest are ones that either sell like crap or are unprofitable.
There are some products that can actually sell great, good for lower income people, but it make bad profits or loses money. It'll be on the chopping block discussion though for the greater good of people buying stuff, some people need low cost product because they cant afford to pay more.
If Sony keeps plugging games for PC, it means it working for the bottom line regardless of whatever brand or loyalty risk gamers think.

I think it's the same reason some people are adverse to having KBM support on console, even in singleplayer, or not having graphics options on console so people can choose between resolution / framerate / visual fidelity. Some people are unhealthily obssessed with everyone having the exact same experience, even when it makes no difference to them whatsoever.
