That's what he does. It isn't that he lacks self awareness although but he may actually have the tism. He starts shit, gets called out by multiple posters, (respectively even) proceeds to talk shit and then cries when others do the same.

I mean dude went straight into "BUT YOUR AVATAR" territory with his first reply. He did it to you too eventually, but he was already on the back foot ready from the start and people weren't even dogpiling him. Weird one for sure.

Ah, I kinda think of it as a playstation franchise because of MGS and then MGS 4, tbh. Makes me think of when people were buying PS3s to get GTA IV, though, attributing a franchise to a platform it isn't exclusive on can absolutely confuse the normies and I doubt people like SONY are unhappy with that. Is the argument that those voting MGS V in that poll are Sony Ponies or something? I would consider that argument a stretch considering the Metal Gear fan base would probably follow that franchise onto any platform it translated to, but then when it was Bloodborne vs The Witcher 3 people had no problem claiming it was SonyGAF making Bloodborne at all successful. I also think of Crash Bandicoot as a SONY franchise but that's no longer the case.

I'm just sort of ranting in any direction now but imagine if each of the 7 big movie studios had their own blu-ray player to play their movies, or there was the Disney player and the Universal player and they both had exclusives but studios like Warner Brothers were multi-plat, lol. It's very weird the arguments created because of a game being tied to a platform, if Bloodborne 2 is a Switch exclusive I buy a Switch.

The weird thing to me was how some of the most butthurt comments come from people whose game is winning, the guy running the tournament giving us a nice little "good riddance, Bloodborne" at the close of that vote, for instance. If I was in charge of such a thing I'd probably try to aim for more neutrality than that, it puts into question a lot of things, like even the bracket set up from the start, was that based on his own biases? Why was it decided to not let us see who votes, so that random alts can sway the whole thing? To some people this would sound like someone butthurt their game lost but honestly I expected a loss and watched it drag out for longer than necessary (how many days straight of both games getting more votes but the gap was always about 20?) and then watched the "winners" be really petty about the fact their preferred game won. It should just all be in good fun but when people behave that way it makes me wonder. Besides that, the overwhelming support for Witcher 3 makes me think I should finally finish it, clearly I'm missing something, I mean, maybe not because I do love the game and it'd make a top 100 games for me but there's a level of love for it I'm not at and it's probably because I stopped playing it, maybe, I was up to a pretty late in the game section to my knowledge, some islands where I think you're helping some people decide who their leader should be? My memory is foggy, I didn't drop the game due to being bored with it, I had reached that point on a PS4 and it was around that time I got a 1070 and stopped playing multi-plats on my PS4.

Not that it actually matters mind you but at least some people actually, you know talked about the games they enjoyed which was a good change of pace.

I do agree, some interesting questions there. However, I’m not too concerned about it. I think the whole vibe is just fun, and a chance to talk about our favorite games, and see where we all stand.

W3, you really aren’t missing anything. It is what it is. A fantastic story and characters, bolted to a fun, simple action-RPG with tons of quests, bolted to a really artistically appealing world.

It’s an overrated game, yet it’s charmed it’s way into many of our hearts regardless. One where the sum is greater than the parts.

My favorite part of Witcher 3 from my playing was the open world, I had to get really into the plot to stop just walking to every destination but that took a bit. There's been a few open world games like this for me, where getting to a destination fast felt wrong because of the beauty on display. I could play it like a walking simulator, basically, even though I never play those. Why does this 2015 game still look better than most games released now?

It is incredible watching console warriors go at it. Recently back from a ban, probably a dangerous amount, just to get right back to the same, as if they never left.

I genuinely don’t think there’s hope for a lot of these posters. They’re just so deranged that they seemingly contextualize punishment as some kind of mistake, bias, or offense against them, whilst they were doing the right thing, rather than ever learning from it.

Their holy war is more important than anything, including putting roots down in gaming side, and just having a good time discussing what they’re excited for.

What's amazing to me is we've reached a point where even multi-platform games are somehow tools in the console war, either because of perception or because something released somewhere first or whatever else, sometimes just because of who has the marketing deal even, hah. Could you imagine arguing hating the new CoD is being an Xbot because of the deals made? That's where we're headed.

I noticed that. I’m trying to figure out how Dirt 5, a cross-gen game on 8 platforms, has somehow become a flashpoint in the console wars, and an Xbox Series X game.

Like, people do realize, that if it looks shitty to them, the same thing is coming to PS5?! 😋

There's a big difference between the person using a Digital Foundry video to make informed purchasing decisions and the person watching it to WIN on an internet forum. I don't care much for the Dirt franchise but the visuals make me worried about next-gen, or at the very least, an ill-conceived push for games to hit 120 FPS when they rarely even hit 60 last gen. To me 120 FPS is something for games like Fortnite and Fall Guys or something, some genres/games are absolutely cheapened by the visuals being lesser. Of course, I get it for MP modes because of how important input lag and such becomes, but with more standardized framerates the doors are opened for more cross-play opportunities, would have loved to experience Destiny 2 on PC while still gaming with my console pleb friends, but it would be impossible because the game is literally easier for a person on PC (not joking console gamers are petitioning for world's first races to separate by platform because of how much slower it is for them, I remember even reading the reduced framerate meant less of their bullets connected with a target, lol). But, yeah, if a game looks bad on one platform I wouldn't expect different on the other, I could end up being wrong but I get the sense this will be the generation where DF are splitting more hairs than usual.
