The servers were probably empty due to the game being a mess and bombing hard, so they did what should've been done since the beggining and turned them off.

Yeah, otherwise it's not worth the hassle - converting from pounds to dollars to pay, then a US card gets converted from dollars to pounds. I'd probably be better off by a £1 or so, but for the trouble it's not worth it.
Ah, they're not too bad... My Diablo 3 and SFV keys haven't been revoked yet.
For the future though, cdkeys always has a 5% off offer going on with a facebook like. Got £20 for £18.
How often does that happen though? Haven't heard of many of those stories for cdkeys.

Really? Weird, I pressed the 'generate Steam code' at the Humble page moments before setting it up.

The Steam app was barely touched after it was uploaded. I'd say the intention to release the game on Steam was later tossed aside. More broadly, though, there was a closed beta for Asia late last year while North America was supposed to have its turn back in April, which didn't happen.
Also doing some cleaning.

Cool, I didn't know that. The effect is ugly and headache inducing so that would have been nice to know before I played the game for 200 hours, lol.
