4chan Rumoured Leak: Justice League Cast and Plot

I understand that. But what do you think would be the reaction if, let's say, someone like George Miller, who has written a really good female character, in Furiosa, would get the Wonder Woman gig rather than a female? Would you be outraged or would you be fine with such a decision, given that he can write and direct a good female character? Just curious.

If we're gonna talk in hypotheticals, then what if a woman could do a better job with it than George Miller?

Representation behind the camera is even worse than it is in front of it, and any steps taken to correct that can only be a positive. Mad Max: Fury Road doesn't happen without someone giving Miller a chance first, and that outright doesn't happen as often for women directors and minority directors.

The "well what about this guy" hypothetical assumes an equal playing field where all potential candidates have been given the opportunity to put forth their best work, and that's just not how Hollywood works today.

That's a good answer. Thanks.

Gee I hope the Darkseid stuff is true because I love prolonged dream/nightmare sequences. Psychological invasion by the bad guy is totally the hot thing right now.

I'm not starting shit or anything. I just thought it was weird that Hollywood would look at something like this for their movies.

And yet...

I understand that. On a side note, what do you think would be the reaction if, let's say, someone like George Miller, who has written a really good female character, in Furiosa, would get the Wonder Woman gig rather than a female? Despite your extreme hypothetical, yes I would be upset. There are enough males directing major movies in Hollywood so when there comes an opportunity for a female director to get a crack at a major movie involving a major female character dealing with feminine themes, yes they should be they should be the ones that Hollywood turns to first.

All of this sounds real.

Except Legion sort of. Holy SHIT @ that one. That makes a ton of sense as a YA type of thing though.

Why are they making Lois such a big deal? She's a secondary character.

They'd be better off "yada-yada-ing" everything after a certain point (Superman's resurrection) and skipping ahead thirty years. Make everything about the next generation of the league: Lois and Clark's son, Jon; Damien and Helena Wayne; the immortal Diana; Jessica Cruz; Kaldur'ham as Aquaman; etc.

JL spending more than half the movie fighting their inner demons would be like the mind control aspect of AOU taken to extreme heights with even more melodrama.

Like it's so bad in theory for a movie like this that it might actually be true considering that it's basically what they were doing with BvS.

I don't think they will ditch the 'dark' aspect of it. It would be really weird if they made it into an AoU-like sequel, with humour tossed in, but something more grounded, yet equally light and action-packed and Hollywood-ized is what I'm expecting.

jon bones

hot hot hanuman-on-man action
Shocked at Eisenberg not returning.

they need to keep him as far away from these movies as possible

Did you have to remind me of this ?

i don't know if anything in the OP is true but that does sound exactly like this lol:

Darkseid is a "force of nature", and is impending arrival is described as "apocalyptic" with biblical undertones. He's also being redesigned, though they'll try to keep his classic look in mind.

That dark and broody nonsense really contradicts Terrio saying that Justice League was going to be way more lighthearted than BVS and Man of Steel. I really calling BS. Plus a Deathstroke film without even introducing Teen Titans or even Green Arrow. Plus Legion Of Superheroes? Nah.

Yeah because WB PR people have never misled before.

"Audiences won't be able to understand BvS's Oscar caliber story"

They also said that Man of Steel was an origin story and that in the next movie we'd see an actual experienced Superman acting like people expect him to act - which wasn't really the case. He was pretty much the same.

They've taken the criticism about the tone of the DCU to heart, and Warner Brothers has now decided they will pursue Melissa McCarthy for Darkseid.

Well Arrow did just
kill off their versions of Deathstroke, Waller and Black Canary
Which would seem to be consistent with some of these rumours knowing that DC doesn't like to play nice between its TV and Film divisions. I think this seems somewhat plausible. But it's not something a knowledgeable fan could not have come up with to mess with people

Um, Deathstroke
is still alive and chillin on Lian Yu.
Right?

I thought BvS made it pretty clear Lex was a stepping stone like any other relative to JL. He might be back in another solo Supes movie, but I never expected him to be in this one of its sequel.

I thought they would have him back as a secondary just to clarify on the whole
"They're coming!" bit he had with Batman. Like Batman returns to question him on what Lex learned.
It could still happen (if this rumor is true), but I doubt it if the cast lists the freaking Daily Planet crew but now Eisenberg.
