Serious rookie mistake by not checking the game version this weekend. I feel bad for Kazunoko though he seems to be OK with it on twitter. He's probably annoyed as fuck in person though.
Good shit on Du for the adaptation against Kazu though.
Folks definitely need to study the JP footage a bit more and get ready to play against them. The JPs get flustered too and screw up like Fuudo did this weekend. Also, not running into Evil Ryu's cr.mk 90% against Daigo might help, lol.
Most impressive play this weekend goes to 801Strider. Super solid gameplan and well played, just a few costly mistakes. More XP will break that habit. When you have Kazunoko and Fuudo commenting and wanting to check out your vids on twitter, you know you did something right.

Had the results stayed as they were, Kaz's next opponents would have been Justin and then Daigo. Kaz has beaten both of them in last two encounters in tournament, at least. He had an extremely good chance of winning NCR and qualifying.

Still not sure who I'm going to play yet, the variations made a lot of characters seem appealing.

One of the things that this weekend highlighted is how far above the rest Bonchan and Daigo are when they're playing on point.
Forget beating them, most players couldn't even formulate a gameplan to effectively fight them.
Yeah, I saw the bracket, afterwards. I rescind that comment, though I don't think he would have beaten Daigo. Not yesterday.
Yeah things would have been more interesting for sure if Kaz had made it through in winners. As is it was very free for Daigo.

Nah, Twitch was too busy changing their ToS to ban people for anime cleavage instead of actual nudity/street dates being broken this weekend lol. People were playing for what seemed like all weekend with not an admin to be found.
I'd install trackers on my stuff if I was him.
No they were actually getting banned, all of them are gone. Some were able to stream for a little while now none of them last long at all. RIP

I'm still laughing at how much of a troll the explanation for the revived characters is. (actual MKX story spoilers)
Outside of Sub and Jax, all other characters stayed dead and their alive and aged costumes were just to fuck with us.

I am, I feel like getting it for Xbox one because I like the D pad. But I always here the playstation d pad getting praise. Am I doing it wrong? Any tips for getting better on the DS4?
Play what works for you. You could probably by some 20 dollar adapter and play the XB1 controller on a PS4. Or invest in a stick if you never have and grind on one of those, but I hear MK is as pad friendly as it gets so no need for one?
I don't use the dpad on my PS4. I have used the analog stick for guilty gear xrd before my new arcade stick came in for PS4. So damn expensive. $225 feels like it could have gone towards a damn Wii U for some smash instead. :/
Don't they have a gore filter? I could've sworn that's an option on MK9 to dial down the blood or turn it all off. Not sure what it does for fatalities if true.
I don't dig the gore either, but I do like MK9's play style and character diversity. This game seems to be doing more of just that so I'm all ogre it.

I would just rather play the game without the fatalities and X Rays tbh. People will tell me that defeats the point, but eh. I don't like the gore and the gross aesthetic, some people don't like the anime and weird sexualization (side note: I play BB in spite of how fucking creepy it can get) in the stuff I play. If the game's good and people near me actually play it and I dig the community I'll get over it. I really need people around me to play it more than anything, which there's a guy here who supports it but he works a lot and is out of the way of me :<
Well it's like I always say, you get what you pay for. So it may be a lot, but you're getting a good quality stick out of it. It'll last you longer and work better than something of lower cost

Regarding MKX's netcode, if it was any good at all they would be hyping that to the high heavens. I fully expect it to between somewhere between bad and absolute trash.
