just ran some non RT tests myself at 1440p and PS5 settings using my rtx 2080, and i was getting 85-95 fps in combat with some rare dips to 79 and goes as high as 102 fps in some empty areas. pretty much on par with your 1080 Ti which is expected.
then i realized, I have a rtx card and can do DLSS even with RT off, and boom, 125-135 fps in combat. 150 in empty areas. thats double the PS5 performance in performance mode.
Man DLSS is the real deal.
DLSS is absolutely amazing, and the main reason I actually want an RTX card tbh... and also the reason I would currently completely ignore AMD cards still.
lol you do realize your card is outperforming the 1080ti results posted above? are you sure you have a 1070?
how is the fps during combat when you are getting shot at and are throwing shit around.
during combat it goes below 30 in stressful situations, like I said. these shots above are the best case scenario... and yes I am sure lol, I got a ROG Strix GTX1070 oc which clocks as high as 2.1ghz I think (it often performs like a stock 1070ti from my experience and if benchmarks of the stock ti are correct)
I looked directly into a reflection tho, so a huge portion of the screen is filled with RT reflections, so yeah... that's how that looks
I'm running the GamePass (win store) version... but I doubt that this has a performance difference
EDIT: I wanna also remind you, this is full resolution RT, on console the RT reflections are checkerboarded ontop of this. also all the settings here were on Medium, which is also higher than on console
