It’s kind of lame. Miles was okay in SM2. Problem is, all his story arc‘s, side kicks and mom, just grated on me. Id be much more interested in a Gwen story arc. Also, I kind of wanted to see other super heroes like iceman and star fire join the group. Play as those, each with unique different abilities.

Well kinda, the game leaves it open ended with certain Spiderman villains being teased so no idea how they'll handle it
I'm still predicting a Spider Family game with 3, Silk and Gwen being the other 2 playable characters

I know they did it in the Comics to give Miles a Blonde for the typical Stereotype fetish.
But Gwen doesn't belong in the same universe as Peter Parker without a love connection being there, even with MJ in the Picture

I’ve not played the game and probably won’t because I’m not totally into the button masher superhero thing but, Is it not occurring to people they may have deliberately made Peter sort of unlikeable and made miles better to use simple so they could finesse people into being fine with the decision? It’s almost like everybody wants to replace and or recast white characters in every form of media at the moment.. Just an observation.

I would love if they just ditched the whole storyline so far and make a Spiderverse game. Using that art style. Would be gorgeous.

I doubt they'll stick by this. Call me cynical, but if the sales of those future entries were to decline they'll probably pull from the classic Spider-man storylines as a way to please fans.

It'll take at least 2 games for them to realise that it was a bad idea.

It won't change anything gameplay/combat/open world-wise if they'd decide to do it, but I'd much rather play Spider-Gwen solo game than to play as Miles every again after Miles Morales game. I just don't like Miles as a character in Insomniac's games, plain an simple, unlike in Spider-Verse movies.

On topic though, I feel like they just need to pause on Spiderman for a while unless it becomes vastly different. The game itself while good just is the same formula as the first and while its not bad, having another with the same formula would suck. Then again how much can they change gameplay wise for this character anyway?

Woke never meant that. Woke is all about keeping people oppressed in perpetual victimhood. It was never about injustice or inclusion, the main goal is to destroy the nuclear family, it's even in the literature of many of these so-called "injustice awareness" groups.

As far as this topic goes, I liked the fact that they didn't race swap Peter Parker and created a different Spider-Man for their checkbox but now they're killing off Peter in most media that has Miles and Peter. Raimi movies will forever be the GOAT.

Of course Peter Parker is being sidelined, Insomniac made him a whining, cringe inducing simp. Something tells me that was the plan all along. The new instalment will likely feature Miles supported by a bulked-up Sam Fisher MJ. She was way more effective at taking down enemies than her super-human boyfriend; and to think, she was almost completely untrained - who knows how formidable she could become given a little more time to hone her skills. Perhaps she will be suiting up in the new game?

At this point, is anyone actually looking forward to a new Insomniac Wolverine game? I wonder what their approach will be. Of course, they will have to establish how cool and accepting Logan is with women, gays and trans people. If they don’t then people may assume the worst. Who knows, maybe Insomniac will go full pander-verse and offer up a lame gay female sidekick. I'm expecting the maximum amount of diversity and inclusion from a potential Wolverine game. I'd also be disappointed if the game didn't offer similar or higher levels of obnoxious social commentary in comparison to Spider-Man 2. After all, that's why people play video games right?

Peter Parker IS Spider-Man. Miles Morales is just a recent upstart who has been around only for the past 15 years because Marvel wanted more diversity. And now he's edging out the original Spider-Man. This is wrong.

They shuffled up the creative writing team from the first game. From primarily men to primarily women

Which on the surface isn’t a sin, off the top of my head there are extremely talented women writers that come to mind like Sophia Copla, the lady who wrote limitless for the screen, and one of the main better call Saul writers was a woman. Hell amy hennig herself, straight from the cinematic PlayStation wheelhouse. But unfortunately insomniac, goofy little game studio that they are, seems to have not hired them for their talent and they just happened to be women, but hired them simply because they are women

Nope, I never really liked the whole recycled love interest of the comics even making her a lot younger to fit Miles Age but it seem silly to me
People praise Miles for being an alternative Character done right because his is different to Peter.
But everything else including his name is ripped from Peter.
Miles needs his own path, the character is there but the world is not, everything is borrowed.
And the the best thing they could do with Spider Gwen is reunite them

Miles Morales, Ghost-Spider and Silk are actually really really new in comparsion to all the other Spider-People so comic fans are not only used to it, but have embrassed it because we got a bunch of really cool characters out of it.
Ben Reilly, Jessica Drew, Anya Cor, Miguel O'Hara, Noir, Julia Carpenter.

Ironically I really dislike comic Miles even if on paper I really should, near literally every other incarnation of Miles is better than the comic one.
Literally a side character in his own book.
