Update on GeForce Leak

The list is real, some things on the list are speculative. Both can be equally true.
"Speculative" isn't an appropriate term to use, which is why people made fun of NVIDIA for using it as an excuse.
"Speculative" implies that people at NVIDIA *imagined* a bunch of possible (and weirdly specific) games and added them to their database as fillers (or for shit and giggles, I guess).

Because sure, what's more normal that just guessing about a "Gotham CIty Builder", or the release/remaster/remake of a franchise forgotten for the last 30 years or so.

What we have here is a bunch of work-in-progress titles.
Most of which have been already confirmed at this point, while other are still in a limbo for a variety of reasons (i.e. the confirmation will come at a later date, the actual name/scope of the game was changed, the project was postponed or cancelled, etc).

No part of this makes it in any way a "fake list", anyway,
And I'm ready to bet BIG MONEY that we'll have at least five more "boxes to check" even just by the end of this year.

Demon Souls was orignally announced to be be on PC but Sony had to retract so it wouldn't affect PS5 sales. Sony isn't going to leave money sitting on the table for this. It will come to PC eventually especially since it was a PS5 exclusive it sold alot less only 1.5 million. They could easily get another million with a PC release.

They never needed PC sales back on PS2 when they had their lowest install base or on PS3 when they had their lowest.

Sony / PlayStation never needed PC and never will.

People should buy PS5 to play these great games and truly support the development by buying as many games as possible on the platform. These games take a whole platform to support, without the console, they simply are not viable.

now that YET ANOTHER GAME from the list came true with the Tactics Ogre Remake, how long until you change your PFP to wear this hat here

Wake me up when FF9 Remake is announced and not these smaller unknown titles which may have had rumours that nobody bothered to follow.

The amount of fanboys in denial over this leak the last year is truly hilarious. I'm enjoying playing all those PlayStation exclusives on PC. Definitely looking forward to playing Forbidden West at 60fps that isn't a blurry jagged mess.
I don’t think anyones denying the PlayStation games, it’s stuff like FF9 Remake that makes the list BS.

But playing Elden Ring in the shit state it is on PC is somehow acceptable?

With framerates all over the place and animations slowing and then speeding up....

LOL

PC is not the place to play any of these games.

Throwing a bone doesn't mean they need PC for anything.

If they were serious about PC, they'd just make their own store.

They saw the backlash that EGS got. All roads lead back to Gaben.

Sorry you’re sad but more are obviously coming. Looking forward to Demon Souls on the steam deck. 👍

It's amazing how certain people can only admit PlayStation games are amazing when they come to other platforms....

How they deny themselves the pleasure of experiencing the games at launch and properly optimized (usually) with almost instant loading and dualsense etc.

A PC rig delivering similar performance uses 2-3 times the power and that alone hurts the environment.

It's already been patched on PS5, and the PC version is probably coming in 2024.

It will look and run like shit.

The Steam Deck is a nice piece of hardware, but I never get why people want to play new AAA games on a mobile device (Demon Souls is a remaster so counts as new to me) - with the inevitable horrible battery life to go along with other graphical and performance drawbacks compared to how the game was originally intended.

Meanwhile on Era a guy is basically confirming FF9 as well, ahah.

Can’t wait to see the goalposts move once again by the usual delusional clowns.

Then again it’s Square Enix we are talking about. Chances are they’ll have it done (poorly) in three years.

Exactly, let the thirsty individuals keep praying it does come to the PC. They keep saying having a game on PC is the be all end all.

I've said this once before Sony was and is doing just fine with their own platforms. Most of it's 1st party titles prove that.

They have to tell themselves that because they dont have a ps5. They have to believe that the pc version will be significantly improved and almost a generation ahead in order to justify to the 3+ year wait for them

Truth is God of War is almost identical experience to the ps5 patched version of the game, and it’s damn near free on playstation.

So I love my gaming PC, and some games play better on it (e.g. FPS, RTS aswell but I don't play them). But some games play better on console. And you're paying a significant premium for hardware on PC (although online is free at least).

But yeah there are a lot of arsehole PCMR guys who feel the need to lord it over console gamers.

I agree Forbidden West looks amazing as it is on PS5, and God of War on PC isn't a big jump from the PS5 version.

Na, I'd rather you just buy an extra copy of the PS5 version to make up for the lost PS5 sale when I buy the PC version. But hey, we can both talk about the game together afterwards, so that's great right?

Not that I disagree with the intent of your post...But I'm struggling to think of games that actually play better? Putting Silicon Wars aside mind you. I'm just curious as to which ones you are talking about?

Bro the game plays fine on PC. Don't fall into the early preview bullshit, I put 160 hours into that game and had almost 0 issues.

I have 162 hours into Elden Ring on PC and can say that the game runs just fine on PC, just waiting for my buddy to install my old GPU in his PC so I can do a 3rd playthrough. Could it be better? Yeah! Only supporting 60fps and no native ultrawide is a crime, especially considering that modders had it fixed in less than 24 hours, but it's still more than acceptable and is an amazing game. Even PC games that have a REALLY terrible reputation, Arkham Knight or Assassin's Creed Unity run AMAZINGLY well today and the experiences are so much better for it and hold up shockingly well. I've been playing Arkham Knight the last 2 weeks, and it looks INCREDIBLE even on my old 1080ti. And it has native ultrawide support. Arkham Knight's character models still hold up with native titles released today.

Racing games imo - unless you happen to have a steering wheel on your desk which is where most people use their PC. I just feel they're better on a big screen with a proper 5.1. Same goes for party games too.

First-party generally games seem to get more out of the console hardware too, so unless you want to brute force things on PC which isn't ideal I think they're often best got on console.

Plus some games are just better optimised on console perhaps due to sloppy development practices. Deathloop is a recent example that comes to mind. Elden Ring too come to think of it. Arkham Knight was another. AC Unity was another that was buggy on releases but the PC version had particular issues as I recall.

I just played through Deathloop on my old 1080ti at ultrawide and it ran amazingly. If I had to guess somewhere in the 70+fps range at 3440x1440 which is just a touch under 4k. Same with Elden Ring...And with Arkham Knight. They all played wonderfully. I'd even make the argument that I can enjoy more 1st party games at higher framerates and resolutions streamed to my living room tv across both Sony and Nintendo's libraries than either's most modern/current systems can support. I get the sentiment you are talking about, but the reality is that everything just plays better. There are very few outliers at this point. Not suggesting anyone switch to PC as a primary platform, but let's call it like it actually is.

Really at the end of the day is that we all enjoy playing the games. Sunshine and Unicorns and Shit.

It was never as bad as people not playing it on pc made out. Then when valve done some things to improve it for steam deck From seem to have gone and done something similar in a patch and pretty much fixed it for the minority having issues. Broken games don't get a 92% positive user review score on steam.

You're in denial.

Countless videos on it.
Suuuure.

Look, I've see how the game ACTUALLY runs on consoles.

Here's a proposal:

Bring your PS5 to my home, we'll plug it and play ER on it AND on my PC.
If when you are done you won't honestly be able to claim the performances were better on your PS5 (and you won't), you'll have to eat the roughly-two-kilograms-or-so of shit I'll make into your funny texan hat.

I've also seen how it stutters even on cutscenes when changing scenes. Like Rykard and so on.
PC version is better at holding 60 if you got the gpu but worse at everything else.
I finished the game on ps5 and it was perfectly fine. Not a single problem aside from game constantly ruinning at around 50fps... which is annoying but I got used to it. VRR would fix the framepacing but well...
Listen, the console is 400$. so it actually should be no contest between it and pc... but it is which already makes pc look like a looser. It should crush the consoles outright

"Everything else" what would be?
I have every single detail maxed, excellent image quality, peaked performances at 60, variable refresh rate with G-Sync that would smooth out even the occasional stutter or slowdown (but I haven't experienced a single one since launch day with the Tree Knight), an NVMe 2 TB drive, a RTX 3080ti, 64 GB of very fast RAM.
Where would be the advantage of the console version, exactly?

Ah yes, what a MINOR ISSUE.

It doesn't fucking matter.
We weren't debating "performance per dollar".
I already have my PC, I'm not deciding now if I have to buy one.
The claim was that the game plays poorly on PC and better on console. Which it doesn't.

And it IS a no contest. Hell, if I was willing to give up on the online part I could even mod the game to work above 60 fps.
The only argument against it is console fanboys making up shit to PRETEND they may have the edge in some areas.

Price performance, the admission by any console fanboy that they have no argument. Weird coming from someone that supposedly has spent a fair amount on his PC.

Deathloop has been out for six months though. At launch it ran atrociously, plus you had Denuvo to deal with.

Same with Arkham Knight - I have Asylum and City on PC and planned to do the same with Knight, but it ran like a dog's dinner on PC so I got it on PS4. The fact they patched it is either here nor there, at launch it ran much better on console.

In terms of first-party games, the point is that you sometimes have to spend a lot on your PC to get appreciably better performance. Like of course a £2,000 PC is going to run an optimised game better, but not everyone wants to spend that. And of course even now GPU prices are stupid - I want a 3080 but I'm not dropping £1,200 for one.

Games cost alot more money to make these days and it's all about expanding the brand and having more marketshare and providing services. With this new age of gaming .The gaming module was alot different in the PS2 and PS3 days. You had hardly any microtractions and online was free.

The MTX actually made console far more profitable, so did subscriptions.... and PC doesn't need a subscription for online play. So I dont see how this is an argument for PC releases...

Exclusives MAIN function is to attract people to a platform for those MTX, subs and 3rd party sales.

It's incrediblly naive to think Sony wouldn't want to expand their potential userbase and more importantly inflate their bottom line. The reason for PC releases is to capture a segment of the market who may never buy a console.

Why make some money, when you can make all the money?

Man how big of a fanboy do you have to be to blame gamers for buying Sony games on PC instead of blaming Sony for selling them?

Clearly Sony thinks it’s viable to bring their first party games to PC. And given the choice, I am going to play them on the superior hardware, not the one that some dumbass console warrior tells me is the morally superior choice.

Sony selling a million playstation exclusives on PC released 5 years ago on console is the reason at almost full price. I think we are a ways from day and date but I do see going forward majority of Sony exclusives has the potential to release on PC.

If PC was superior, it wouldn't use 300%+ times the power to achieve slightly higher fps and resolution or AA.
At this stage performance between the two platforms is minimal in terms of visible differences.

My definition of 'Dumbass', as you called me..... is someone who pays Nvidia 700 to 1500 dollars or more for marginal performance gains. To use a mess of a store like Steam, flooded with trash and asset swaps and on an OS like Windows. Games optimized badly, cheats and hacks rampant in multiplayer games..... in fact I think most PC gamers play there to abuse things like mods to get one up on other gamers, people with no sense of fair play, who have zero sportsmanship or willingness to improve themselves in real terms.

Then after paying 1,500 to Nvidia... one of the scummiest companies on the planet... PC gamers often brag about how little they paid to hardworking developers.

That is what really rubs me the wrong way, the priorities are all backwards... no appreciation for hard work and talent but foaming at the mouth to put money in the pockets of corporate fat-cats at Nvidia and MSFT.
