Cyberpunk 2077 next-gen upgrade gameplay PS5 and XSX

Got the game for both consoles when it was on sale and I want to know which one I should start my first play through on
Fair enough, I've only got the Series X currently, is the patch out now then? I uninstalled this after only playing 4 hours as it had horrible performance. Let us know how it performs on both consoles.

This looks fine for a free next-gen patch. Don’t know what some of you insufferable fucks were expecting, haha.

When some people decide that a developer is "evil/lazy/whatever" they will not change their mind, because it's hard to accept being wrong.

Of course, those people are irrelevant, but they have convinced themselves of a massive overestimation of their opinion's worth 😂

Are there any improvements for series s?

I bought this on my xbox cuz it was on sale there and never downloaded it, waiting for the patch.

Now that there is no mention for series s enhancements i kinda regret my decision on not buying this on ps5.

Looks like you get a bump to 1440p.

Seems they took notes from the gameplay mods the community was making.
From remaking some perks or changing the way cloth mods work, to rebalancing the economy and diversifying the AI behaviour between gangs. This gameplay rebalance is probably the best change to come out of this.
Yeah they’re definitely keeping an eye on the mods community, even joked that we don’t have to mod everything now.

It’ll be interesting to see how they’re rebalancing the economy, it was a chose to earn money without using tricks.

There is a mod where the camera is moved a bit back so you actually see your body when looking down and not just arms. It’s already top in class when it comes to immersion but things like that makes the immersion even better. Needs an official version.

One of the changes was reducing the price of vehicles (and cyberwares), that were way too expensive. They also let you sell cyberware mods now (another change that came from a mod). Increased rewards for missions and reduced loot also makes for a good QoL change since you spend less time in a menu separating and selecting stuff to sell without reducing the rewards.

I'm still worried about some things though, like level scaling, item rarity and the usefulness of crafting. I don't know if the changes will improve these aspects of the game.

Sounds like mostly polish, quality of life, bug fixes, modest “DLC”..

Wish they’d talked about a roadmap.. is this it, or are they working on another upgrade?

Issues/content I’ve heard about not addressed - better police and NPC spawning, fleshing out character type/origin content, adding back monorail system..
sorry, looks like they fixed the police spawns in 1.2? And "fleshing out life paths"* with more choice/quests/consequences. That plus a monorail and subway sounds like a complete game.

Sounds good, it needed a healthy dose of QoL fixes.
Minor thing I guess but I really liked that you can change the appearance mid-game, makes little sense but it’s very welcome.

89% updated on Steam now. Soon!

I'm so all over this shit. I loved every bit of what I got to play of this game, and this is just going to make it better. I'm literally going to wipe my previous playthrough and start fresh.

Really don't want to pick this up until we get the DLC (which has got to be a ways off) but they are making it difficult (especially the raytracing).

Wait, didn't you watch? They added apartments you can buy now, you can decorate your existing apartments, and a bunch of DLC weapons, and other stuff. Guess you mean story DLC?

Which version is this? I haven't played the game so is this screenshot in-game or a cutscene?
[/QUOTE]
Using photo mode so its the in game character model of the main character i customised.

Yeah. This feels like a lot of the intermittent stuff they added to THE WITCHER 3, before we got the two massive DLC products. I want to experience all the little additions within the context of a larger (paid) DLC drop.

Been waiting for this. Loading the demo as I‘m writing this. Shame this comes out so close to Horizon and Elden Ring. Would have prolly bought it otherwise. Guess when I‘m done with the two former it‘ll be on Gamepass. So well…

It's on sale for $30 now. Might as well grab it now while it's cheap.

I've tried it briefly on PS5.
Finally there are many NPCs in the streets and in the squares.
Ray tracing doesn't seem to do anything that justifies cutting in half the frame rate.
Even disabling motion blur there is still a lot of camera blur?! I don't remember it being so aggressive.
HDR doesn't seem to be particularly effective in making highlights and bright surfaces pop-out.
Quite frankly it's pretty much how I remembered the game but with improved crowds.

Looking forward to see some technical comparisons.

Edit: Adaptive trigggers are supported while driving and shooting.

How did you find the adaptive triggers? Good or nah? Debating on whether to buy on PS5 or Series x. $29.99 CAD on both stores right now.

It's satisfying while shooting because it combines adaptive triggers with haptic feedback to recreate recoil sensation and it feels nice.

And btw LOL I had my first game crash........ :messenger_grinning_sweat: 🤷‍♀️ not even 30 minutes in.
