Native PS5 versions of the games require PS5 controllers.
PS5 is BC and you can play using DS4/other PS4 controllers in the PS4 BC versions of these games.
These add-ons are available for PS5 but sold out.
So you can play the PS5 version with a PS5 controller, the PS4 version using a PS4 controller, and/or wait until they ship more units of the PS5 version.
Then how come for remote play Dualshock 4 only works and not Dualsense, this is for PS5 games by the way. It was only recently Dualsense works with remote play but that's only on latest Android update.
Native PS5 are one thing, native PS4 games are another thing, PS4 BC in PS5 is another thing, Remote Play is another thing, Remote Play client on each platform/version is another thing, and the pads supported (or their driver) for each OS version is another thing. Each one with different challenges and maybe developed by different people from maybe even different companies.
DualSense uses new stuff like Bluetooth 5.1, USB 3.1 Gen 2, haptic feedback, adaptative triggers, more precise touchpad and motion sensing or 3D audio. Maybe Windows and Android didn't support some of these things in older versions or whoever makes the drivers or its support on each place is busy doing something else that has a higher priority for them.
Or maybe the latest Android update removes support for old shitty wifi like wifi 1, 2, 3 or 4 and they prefered to stick to that Android version to make sure you're using a decent wifi to ensure you get a good enough streaming experience using wifi 6 or at least wifi 5. Or maybe they only supported the latest Android version because didn't want to spend a lot of time and money testing it in a shit ton of devices supported in older Android versions because at least now almost nobody is going to use it, so didn't want to invest a lot on it. I have no idea.
