Sony fanboys downplay the 1-5 fps xsx advantage? But If it was the other way around they'd make sure even their neighbor knows about it.

From struggling at 1080p at 60fps with no ray tracing on PS5 vs no issues at native 4K on XSX to both using 4k CB with same ray tracing settings and pretty much same performance.
Also Capcom must be punished by Jim for letting a couple of extra frame rate drops slide into the PS5 version, the marketing deal didn't allow for that!?

Oh the FUD and fake stories from ''insiders'' :messenger_grinning_sweat:
Finally the bullshit is over...with this game.

I'm quite impressed by the Series S. People clown on it, but the no-RT mode is a non dynamic 1440p locked 60 fps. Basically what it advertised itself as. But I guess The Medium throws out any good will for the Series consoles..

Capcom actually downplayed performance across the board for all consoles. For example, they said 1440p 30 for RT XSS and 1440p 45 performance, but it's more like 1440/45 and 1440/60.

I think they'd be better off capping at 30 for RT on XSS. Frame pacing must feel awful. I doubt dropping resolution to 1080p would provide a near locked experience, either.

Seems like a quality game for everyone, other than the reported input issues on Xbox compared to PS.

higher clocks also so still 20% compute advantage, talking about cu number without clock is bs
Again we are talking of CUs advantage. There isn't an universal benefit for the whole GPU but in dedicated tasks more CUs still should outperform less CUs even though faster

I’ve heard it’s really, really good!

Not trolling here but the Series S is the only one struggling to hit 60FPs. It wouldn't be a bad idea if the developers reduced the resolution or locked it at 30FPs. I really don't like seeing the framerate be that unstable on any platform.

Just watched the video, clear Xbox advantage through the whole play through. Ps5 drops when npcs are on screen, seems to waver drops into the high 50s a considerable amount while the Xbox stays locked. this is where VRR comes into a world of its own for these consoles. Sony really needs to get this sorted.

But 1.8 TF difference. As it should be, right? I mean, in RT mode where XSX should have the big advantage
1.8 TF means nothing. But more CUs still outperform less CUs that's undeniable. Now of course faster more balanced CUs job should decrease such advantage but it's impressive we are talking of just 2 FPS of difference.

Still seems like a very small advantage to me. It's not like the framerate is so bad on the PS5 that it ruins the experience. I agree that Sony needs to get VRR working though.

not necessarily. with RT reflections for example you can run into a CPU bottleneck or simply a GPU bottleneck. real time reflections means less culling as objects/characters behind the camera need to be loaded/animated in addition to the stuff you'd normally see without RT

so while the act of calculating rays might be faster on Series X, the thing that you see in reflections might mean other parts of the hardware are limiting performance

all you have to do is turn off RT and then you get a locked 60 on series s.

they should lock to 30 on Series S RT and the last gen systems.

oh, I completely agree. I played through both demos on the ps5 and the only point I actually really noticed any hitches were when I entered that fancy room in the castle demo. Gonna try out the Xbox now to play it again.

Hopefully it gets patched into the PS5 soon for those with VRR displays.

Edit: Sony did market VRR support so I'm sure they are working hard on it to avoid a law suit.

You’d figure it would be a pretty big priority for them considering part of their business is selling TVs with VRR, it’s a weird situation when their competitors hardware works better on their TVs than theirs do.

Ahaaa, bootleneck. I knew it.

cu * clock matter but some try to talking only about cu number only to show that gap is bigger which is not ;)

We have numerous statements how XSX should have a big advantage in compute in games because RT is scaling with numbers of CUs. Well, if you are in photomode. :/

This is why it's not out yet. Since they have so much invested with TVs, Film, Imaging Sensors, etc., they are waiting on the HDMI board to certify it. Supposedly it's done, but held up due to certification. These are the rules Sony has always played by when it came to certs.

The fact a 100 dollar more expensive machine with a beefier gpu performs the same is more embarrassing for series x than ps5 losing 2fps.

Actually to your point it’s the Xbox fans always crying about the their persecution, just like you are now.

There is a static data to establish such things. What you think to see isn't it exactly scientific.
