The only reason message boards know is because we follow games more and watch trailers for fine print. Even Sony's response was a low key paragraph blog. You don't see Sony showing in videos Horizon 2 and Spidey MM are coming to PS4. The chances of the average person going on Sony's PS blog tab and reading the fourth paragraph to see some games are cross gen is probably about 0.1% of people who might buy a new console.
So you'll get people amped up to buy a PS5 for so-called exclusives (or as a Christmas gift with PS5 exclusives) yet don't even know they are still coming to PS4 and could have saved money.

I mean... did anyone really believe they'd leave behind 100 Million possible users? Has there ever been a start of a generation that has completely cut-off the last neg? In all honesty, we don't even know what Horizon 2 looks like yet, so we don't know if it's being held back.

Who the fuck green-lighted this cross-gen decision ? If it was Jim Ryan, he needs to go ! He just said earlier in the year that ps5 exclusives will be exclusive to ps5 & will not come to ps4, because "Sony believed in Generations !" And now this MASSIVE U-Turn ! 
It's almost like he got scared by the things MS & Phil Spencer were saying, like "anti-consumer practices" and shit! If this is true, he is a very soft cookie and needs to go !
I think the design of the PS5 was also his choice & honesty it looks like shit, as today we got to see it from the back as well, and man is it ugly!
What was he thinking ? Why would anyone believe in the 'Power of the SSD' narrative now, when you're also bringing PS5 games to the PS4 ? That nullifies the whole argument ! Major marketing blunder!
To add insult to injury, all PS5 launch First party games are 70 usd, and most likely it means all future first party games will be 70 dollars too !

It definitely could. Playstation owns the IP, so If they wanted to they could put it on PC.
Edit: Not that surprised about Horizon 2, reports were it started out development on PS4. Realistically not enough time to move it all to PS5 in time for 2021. Makes you wonder about GOW Ragnarok, was that also a PS4 game that was shifted to PS5 1/2 way through? Very good possibility it was. I'm pretty sure I've said it before, PS is not stupid enough to leave all that money on the table, no way they would have left PS4 owners behind. That was talk to make ppl move to PS5. If you fell for it and you feel that betrayed by it, you know what to do, don't buy a PS5 at launch. Let them know that you're not happy about it buy not buying their new shit.

I would've preferred physical edition but digital was all Walmart had when I checked.
I also have a game sharing partner I buy most if not all new games digitally anyways.
But, now I have to sell some of these old ps-4 discs lol

Not true, or a simple mistake. Doesn't really matter, it is what they have officially rectified. I don't think they're going to have PC versions of their first party games so early in the generation.
You can try to will it into existence, just like Bloodborne on PC, maybe 6 years after launch that will finally happen.
