I would love to get this on PC, but the weird performance and sound issues on the original release makes me hesitant to get it there. I'll probably just wait until it goes on sale then deside whether to get it on the PC or PS4 depending on user reviews/feedback.

The sound mix had problems on the PS4 as well. Definitely the worst aspect of the game.

Damn, why are some of you people so good at this? I thought about it for hours and came up with nothing! I'm an idiot. I'll probably use that for the OT if you're ok with that.

That's fine. Honestly, it's probably the only OT name I've come up with that anyone has liked (even though I've only suggested a few before haha).

It was a late decision.

It is officially on XB1 retail now, must have been a last minute decision.

Yeah, I noticed it starting to pop up on various sites over the last couple of days.

it's available for £12.99 from Gameseek if anyone's interested. PS4 and X1 are the same price.

Anyway, it just popped up on the Xbox Store for pre-order too - 37.14gb. Pretty hefty download, not a sign of how much content there is of course, but much bigger than I anticipated...

Nice. Maybe drop Order and Blood? Sound a little "weird" with the extra word(s) (only my opinion). IE a more clear-cut take on "In with the new, out with the old".

But really like you train of thought.
Agreed. Smooth and clever if it is just

Out with the New, In with the Old

Bloody hell, that's disgusting. new order was 50gb, so this is a full retail game for £15 or are machinegames shite at compressing files?

Even through the textures are pretty low resolution, the MegaTexture technology means that basically all environmental art is unique. No texture tiling anywhere. Takes up a lot of space!

How big is the campaign compared to TNO?

From the other thread:

Reportedly 8 hours, but I always subtract 25% from developer/publisher-touted figures to account for overstatement.

HLTB says the average play time for Wolf14's "main story" is 11h57m, which is a figure derived from 244 user submissions, so TOB is roughly half the length. Not too shabby when you consider you're getting half a prequel for a third of the price of a full game.

Making a spin-off still starring BJ seems pretty lame, honestly.

I thought the game made a strong case for a spin-off/dlc/standalone either prequel or sequel starring Bombate in Africa or a prequel game with Caroline

Cheers!
(I paid £12 for TNO)

The gameplay was good in Wolfenstein, but I felt it's strongest aspect was the characters and writing. This looks to be shifting that tone to become more all out crazy shenanigans. I'm interested to see how it does and may dive in, however I hope the next iteration doesn't leave behind that perfect mix of strong story and inglorious style gameplay.

Also regardless how it reviews, I WILL not buy if the sound mix is bad as the other game. That alone killed much of my enjoyment.

Not sure if this is news but I was able to pre-order the XBO version at EBGames in Australia today. I think a disc release is happening now for it.

Going to buy the hell out of this. Wolfenstein: TNO was probably my favorite game from 2014. At least, favorite shooter.

Can't wait!

It took me almost 15 hours to clear TNO, but I started immediately on Uber difficulty. Maybe another 3 hours to get all the missing stuff for Platinum.
