GAF clan is dead on ps4, guess ill find a lfg site

Yeah I haven’t been on in a while. Just have too much going on in work and this takes real dedication to stay active. Sucks that you can’t matchmake in the raid. This is what happens these games after a while. Everyone gets burnt out, I really enjoyed my time but it’s hard to see how much more time I can put in. I still enjoy single player experiences a lot and gives you less pressure to be on and active every day etc.

Well, to be fair, these were people figuring out the boss mechanics.

Now that the mechanics are known... I'm sure people will be knocking it down in 30 minutes next week. :messenger_beaming:
I hope it's beatable in, let's say, at most 1 hour. More than that and it's a no go for me, I have no patience lol

Went to LFG and got into a group that was already on checkpoint 1, first boss I guess.

The mechanics are dope but the boss's healing rate is insane. Cant do jack shit with that rate.

It may just be RNG, but I feel like they lessened the rate at which you earn apparel event keys. Is it just me? (I haven't gotten one yet.)

I'm currently at Gear 320ish and was wondering if plowing through world tiers should be my number one priority? Also curious if the GAF clan uses discord?

It really depends on how you want to play. But yeah, that's the way I did. My goal every tier was to get to the next asap until WT5.

In case you didn't know, the vendor, clan vendor and special vendor can make this jump very quick.

The GAF clan does have Discord. The link is pinned in the clan messages. The Xbox guys set it up, and tbh, has never gotten a lot of use from the PC guys for whatever reason.

I'm still having fun perfecting my LMG and rifle builds, but yeah, there's not a lot more beyond choices like DTE vs. explosive vs. CHC.

Classified missions... what do you guys think? Only two so far, but they seem pretty well done.

Lot of work went into the areas. Seem comparable to side missions. Wonder if they open them up to all players as bounty areas.

Yeah. I really hope they add survival soon.

As for this apparel event, I'm still not getting any keys. Think I'm just gonna say screw it because I really want to keep playing Rage 2.

I've gotten a handful of keys (mainly due to having the gold edition), but I'm not even interested. The majority of the stuff in the box is pretty lame.

Every single time I launch the game, I play for like 20 minutes and just think "what am I doing?" and then alt+F4. Just can't be bothered at the moment. It really is Division 1 all over again just waiting for them to make most stuff not suck.

Yeah. I'm probably just getting unlucky and not really feeling the grind right now.

I love the game despite the balance issues, but I'm definitely feeling burned out, my chances of getting upgrades is small and dropping so much <500 gear adds to the frustration.

Super happy that they included accuracy in the stats. Sometime this week I’ll probably respec back into Survivalist, just to see how much impact on my AR accuracy the Sharpshooter tree has.

Has anyone tried the new recalibration yet? Are the old caps on pre-patch recalibrated items still in place or does it go higher now?

Caps are gone. You get the exact value you move over.

Not sure I totally understand the pie system yet, though.

I moved 46% Damage to Elites (which is the highest I ever dropped) to my mask and didn't max out the pie and not even close. *shrug*

Man I just tried the game again and the experience was frustrating. I had 107% DTE and now after TU3 I'm at 85%. Enemies take a huuuuge amount of bullets to be killed (their armor is ridiculous) and they were shredding me. Died 3 times trying to clear The Kitchen in DZ East, something I think never happened before.

What a bummer, I might actually drop the game now. You think your build is OK, Massive goes and fucks it up. It's TD1 all over again.

Yuuuup.

It's literally an exact repeat of the first game, bugs and fuck-ups included. Going to be better off waiting a year and coming back when they actually have some semblance of balance in place and everything isn't being completely changed on a weekly basis. Who knows, maybe by then it will be worth using skill power or skill mods.

I agree wholeheartedly to this post:

Man, as bad as the drops were in the first game, I don't think they were EVER as bad as they are in the second. What the fuck. I haven't managed to get more than 25% damage to elites in my gear even after more than 100h playing this shit.

I'm really hoping the SOTG tomorrow sees them address some of this stuff. I'm bored of only looking for CHC/CHD/DTE. The game is currently stale as hell because of the complete lack of build diversity, skills quite literally being useless, and mods being irrelevant. If they don't address any of this stuff, then it's pretty likely that I uninstall. The game in it's current state does absolutely nothing for me.

That said, it's like going to be nothing but fluff about the raid and congratulating the people who completed it and reading off useless stats.

Well, I do have 46% DTE as well as two 45% DTE sitting in my stash. :messenger_squinting_tongue:

But I don't really understand the resistance to letting 500 drop across all activities. Seems like it would fix a lot of the gripes people have (me too.)

As for the recalibration (ignoring the D1 vs D2 debate) I actually like it with the changes.

Also, need a way to target specific items maybe. That I am still using a 497 CLASSiC LM60 (so short a mod) after all I've looted is crazy to me.

Well that's also because there's literally one weapon per class worth using. I'm now on my 4th or 5th Custom P416 because nothing else compares in AR category.

Yuuuuup.

Had like 8-9 of us playing at launch. Literally none of us have touched it in over a month and a half. If they follow the same path as the first, the game will be fun in like a year. In the meantime, it's been uninstalled so it's not taking up valuable SSD space.

I tried the game after TU4 and seems... better? I like what I see so far.

Trying to get dat Exotic Holster... but you need to clear 3 Lvl 4 CPs to get it... can't do it alone... anyone here to help me? :messenger_sad_relieved:

I tried the free trial. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't interesting or different enough. More of the same basically. I wandered around a bit, shot some dudes for some reason, opened a bunch of back packs and ended up at a theatre. The one thing that stood out was how ugly the female models are in the character creation. Holy shit. There were some real mooses in that thing..

I'll be honest, the game feels much more enjoyable after Title Update 4. AI cheats less and my build doesn't feel ridiculously underpowered, I guess.

CrustyBritches CrustyBritches let's play together one of these days! :messenger_grinning:

Sounds good. We'll get my brother to play and he'll help us buzzsaw some level 4 checkpoints. I might get on now and grab that chest piece.

Woo hoo! :)

Man I somehow managed to clear a Lvl 4 CP alone yesterday! Used the reviver Hive twice and was revived by the AI once lol, but still. I could barely stand before this update.

SotG today was actually good. Here's a summary:

State of the Game
Housekeeping
Maintenance
The servers will shut down for maintenance on Thursday, June 27th at 03:00 PM CEST / 09:00 AM EDT / 06:00 AM PDT.

Estimated downtime is approximately 3 hours.

There is a case where you could recalibrate the Dodge City Holster Talent to another item. If you have done that, the item that got the talent will be reset to its original state. The deconstructed holster will not be restored.

Loot in The Division
They are aware of the big loot discussion and that players are not satisfied with the progression. They agree the current gear system needs some changes. They are currently working on finding satisfying improvements. But this is not the topic of today.

Title Update 5 / Episode 1 PTS
  • Will be open on Monday
  • The new content will be open in stages, so that specific content can be tested one at a time.
  • The exact schedule will be posted later.

Highlighted Changes:

Blueprints

  • The entire blueprint pool of Inaya, Projects and Control Points are now shared, so if you missed a project you can grind them out at Control Points.

Exotics

  • Heroic Bosses drop Exotics
  • There will no longer be any stat downgrade when you update an Exotic to GS 500. Upgraded Exotics roll at max level – so if you have a GS 500 Nemesis, you have the same GS 500 Nemesis as everyone else.

Gun Runner Buff

  • Cassie Mendoza will now sell GS500 items.
  • She will also sell Named Items and Exotics

Crafting Station Upgrade

  • The Crafting Station can be upgraded to GS 500
  • The upgrade requires a GS 490 Gun, GS 490 Gear Piece and Materials

Recalibration

  • Crafted items can be used for recalibration. To and from.

Flashlight

  • There will be a flashlight attachment for pistols.
  • It can be found somewhere.

Two new weapons

  • Two new weapons will be added with Title Update 5.
  • Carbine 7 Assault Rifle
  • Stoner LMG
  • Both with new Talents
  • Diamondback lever action rifle
=> Carbine 7 / Stoner LMG

New Gloves

  • New Exotic BTSU (Black Tusk Special Unit) Gloves.
  • This is specialized on hybrid Skill Builds (Offensive / Crowd Control combos) when you switch between those skills you will unlock very good buffs. *, For example, the Remote Pulse will have a detonate effect)
=> Gloves

Skills Overhaul
They have done an overhaul of all Skills and in particular how they interact with Skill mods – how they get buffed and get more effective. The most viable skill-builds revolved around explosive skills – now they are even stronger, while the other like the Turret or the Shields are on par with that.

Intend
It basically started with looking at the DPS meta and how much damage you can do with weapons. At the moment you can do up to 3 Million DPS with an assault rifle build. They then basically used that as a benchmark and started working on the Skill Builds so that they can keep up with that. The goal was not to nerf the weapons – but to buff, a 100% Skill focused to build up to that level.

What has changed
Skill Mods

The Skill Mods got a big buff in how much impact they have on the Skills:

For example:

  • TU4: A 3k Skill Power Turret Mod will buff the damage for 25-30%
  • TU5: A 3k Skill Power Turret Mod will buff the damage for 150%

Cooldown Reduction becomes Skill Haste

They also looked at cooldowns and how effective the current cooldown system is. It was very easy to get 90% Skill Cooldown Reduction and get it down to 10 seconds. This is a problematic situation.

What they basically did is, that they changed Cooldown Reduction into Skill Haste. Skill Haste goes way above 100% and is a healthier system for the long term health of the game.

  • So as of Title Update 5 Cooldown Reduction has been renamed into Skill Haste on all your items.
  • The current values will also be buffed by 33%
  • There are also very powerful Skill Haste Mods – so when you have 3k Skill Power you can have up to 200% Skill Haste on those mods.

Damage Buffs to Skills

The damage Skills were also buffed to do a lot more damage to the NPCs - even before the buffs from the Specialization are added on top of that. So when you have 3k Skill Power you can do a lot of damage even on challenging difficulty. But on heroic difficulty, it will still take some effort.

Weapons are still very much viable

While the Skills got a big buff – the king of continuous damage are still the weapons. This rework is not about “replacing weapon builds with skill builds” but to make them a viable option on the battlefield.

Shields were also buffed

The Shield-Skills also got a big buff to become more usable on the battlefield

Some very decent changes. Skill builds will actually be viable now, apparently. And the new exotics might bring something fresh to the game. Let's see!
