Yeah. I outputted 1080p on my ps4 pro to get full rgb for this reason.422yuv is ass cheeks. It has like a washed over effect.

It does if you’re a PlayStation fanboy apparently.Does more HDMI bandwidth increase penis size?
Asking for a friend
Clarissa, keep your friend. He was right the whole time.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps, an absolutely amazing playing and looking game, is Native 4K and 120fps with HDR on the series X already.4k 120hz is a pipe dream. Hell 4k 60 still seems out of reach without scaling.
You numptys really believe this is a hardware cap
Most 120fps games outputs at 4k120fps with HDR included... that is the signal that go thought HDMI.So what games are running at 4K 120fps then?
It could be.You numptys really believe this is a hardware cap
It could be.
Well, hopefully you troopers survive if it happens to be the caseSo unlikely it's not even worth entertaining the thought
I am playing Halo MCC and Warzone in pristine 4k/120. The dream is now.4k 120hz is a pipe dream. Hell 4k 60 still seems out of reach without scaling.

Sony PS5 HDMI 2.1 Bandwidth is Currently Capped at 32Gbps (vs Xbox Series X 40Gbps) News
I wonder if this is related to there not being VRR and ALLM which are HDMI 2.1 features. What the lower bandwidth means is that less color information is delivered when the output is @ 120hz. Someone who knows more than me can correct me but in real terms 99.9% of people won't be able to notice...www.resetera.com
I was reading a bit more about hat.
PS5 can output in 4k120 HDR... so if the HDR is 4:4:4 or 10bits already debunk the OP video.

You picked a very bad example. The Sony XH900 X90H has terrible 120hz performance. The picture is very blury which suggests the TV is nowhere near 48gb bandwidth either. Sony said it will not be fixed. I'm happy I have held off buying both. And VRR?
They have a 48gbps spec in the x900h, and they were hocking that TV alongside the PS5 working closely together with their other divisions. I would be shocked if it weren’t a matching setup.
Is there any reason why Sony and MS are not offering full 48gb/s out the gate and instead later? What is the benefit of patching it in. Do they have to pay HDMI increased royalty fees?
So what games are running at 4K 120fps then?
They don’t “recommend” that at all lol. That’s one way to spread FUD I guess.Microsoft recommends to play at 4K60 with no VRR anyway ... as there are currently some issue with VRR (not sure if fixed yet).
Known Issues on Xbox Series X|S
Last Updated: 3/22/2021 at 5:00PM PST Hi there, It's an exciting time. The Xbox Series X|S consoles have both launched and we hope you're enjoying your time with the next generation of gaming. In theanswers.microsoft.com
Console manufacturers don’t usually tell the community manager at a third party dev studio about hdmi specs and firmware updates. He then said all he was told was that the chipset was HDMi 2.1 and he hoped it would be updated. He doesnt know anything.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps says hi.4k in the context of this thread means 2160p.
Just because it's scaling to 4k doesn't mean it's 2160p at 120hz. That's the difference and that's why the higher bandwidth is required.
No game exists on these new consoles that offers 2160p at 120hz with full 4:4:4 RGB HDR.
HDMI cable firmware > software toolsOoof, the gift that keeps on giving.

So how does one do this?Did he try the TV's PC input?
From hwzone:
There is no plans to support either of those formatsThat might explain the lack of Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos/DTS:X...
That update is for 8K support though.
Usually in your hdmi/input settings you can choose a mode for what is plugged in on that input. Choose PC or Game mode as they get rid of all of the post processing crap and have reduced lag etc.So how does one do this?
He said the same thing about Quick resume, and we all know how that turned out.Matt from the other site said this will be updated.

No you don’t. You need 48Gbps for 4k@120hz 444 12bit.You need the 48gb for 8k
I always change my tv at the beginning of a new genHow many people purchased TV's for a PS5? Is it normal to purchase a new TV just for a video game console?
Quick resume and bandwidth requirements for HDMI are not remotely relative. The video proves what we can see when he uses a CX to test it. It can be updatedHe said the same thing about Quick resume, and we all know how that turned out.
