NXGamer does some pretty good work with his videos. Hopefully he can do a better job showing us the loading in AC.
This is the one I’ve been waiting for. I think Valhalla is the first true head to head test (for everything, not just loading)
Oh I know. But some of the videos showing comparisons are pretty poor at the moment. That's why I'm interested in NXGamer videos.
So are you ok? You kind of just vanished and I thought something happened to you.
Renders a quick resume feature pointless then. It's like 5 seconds to get to the main menu and then about 2 seconds to load a save.
No one. He is making things up as usual.
The sad reality is that your precious Switch is about to get crushed in the sales charts .Reality is very harsh but also very realistic.
If you look at detail in miles morales up close, does it look exactly the same details as Ubisoft models in next gen games. Have you even looked ? Go watch Digital foundry on close up details in miles morales.
Oh really? You will be surprised then about what's going to happen in Oct, Nov, and Dec.The sad reality is that your precious Switch is about to get crushed in the sales charts .
PS5 wasn't even out in October .Oh really? You will be surprised then about what's going to happen in Oct, Nov, and Dec.
Depends. If I have to restart a mission from the beginning and lose 15 minutes worth of progress when using quick resume it's pointless. If I don't have to restart a mission from the beginning when using quick resume then it's a valuable feature.Renders a quick resume feature pointless then.
What, Cerny's promise of Secret Sauce Drive were fake and no one could predict it?
Switch will outsells PS5 in Nov and Dec with a new record numbers.PS5 wasn't even out in October .
Sure it will.Switch will outsells PS5 in Nov and Dec with a new record numbers.
It not pointless though since you can turn off the console power and the next time you power it back on you can launch that game in quick resume and it will load right where you last left it even without power to the console that the power of quick resume.Renders a quick resume feature pointless then.
For a game like Miles Morales where it's five seconds to the main menu I don't need that though. Maybe they'll add it, but it's not something I need.It not pointless though since you can turn off the console power and the next time you power it back on you can launch that game in quick resume and it will load right where you last left it even without power to the console that the power of quick resume.
It will be the fastest selling console after overtaking Wii in this quarterSure it will.
It needs to catch up with PS4 before trying to compete with PS5.
Different strokes for different folks. For a game like Miles Morales where it's five seconds to the main menu I don't need that though. Maybe they'll add it, but it's not something I need.
Nobody will care about 5 seconds, which is something easily perceivable and relevant to the user, but they will definitely care about an extra hundred pixels and 5 additional frames a second which require a DF analysis and 10x zoom to demonstrate.
The amount of world detail in MM tops what we've seen in both WD and AC on consoles. Character models for everything from NPCs (of which there are many), to the title character also appear more detailed than what's found in the Ubi games you've mentioned. World geometry is harder to nail down. A city is fairly angular, but you also have lots of vehicles in addition to the NPCs.MM isn't using the SSD to render those models dude. They aren't all that. Valhalla and even WD Legion has just as accurate models. Hell, Marvel Avengers models look better than MM. Even Horizon Zero Dawn looks on par with MM. BG3 has more detailed models in game and Death Stranding, Detroit, TLOU 2, etc.. also has equivalent detailed models in game. You guys love to mysteriously hype the newest game on the PS5 just because it's new and declare it's doing something better than any game before it when it's actually doing the same thing. Demon Souls too. None of these PS5 games are leaping above what's already out there.
Did you create that graph yourself? Switch momentum will slow suddenly as it did with the Wii, it's not selling 140m. And it will continue to have a lower attach rate than PS4.It will be the fastest selling console after overtaking Wii in this quarter
Meanwhile PS4 leg is on freefall and likely to end up around ~125M ltd while Switch is projected to be around 140-160M.
Launch aligned number and the gap will be massive in this Q3 as Nintendo Switch is entering the biggest quarter.
The sad reality is that your precious Switch is about to get crushed in the sales charts .

Meanwhile PS5 will be the fastest selling console of all time.
Switch has overtaken the Wii, but it won't overtake the PS4. Playstation is just a bigger brand, appeals to more people (not just kids), and it has a superior games library.Graph was created by ZhugeEX sales analyst.
You need to take a look at Wii Sales.
Wii Sales peak on the 3rd year while Nintendo Switch is on overdrive mode in the 4th year without even a price cut.
In this Q3, Nintendo Switch will overtakes Nintendo Wii launch aligned to be the fastest selling console ever and around ~10M ahead of PS4 launch aligned.
All of those are opinions. If there is a Switch pro revision in March it will keep the momentum going for a few years.Switch has overtaken the Wii, but it won't overtake the PS4. Playstation is just a bigger brand, appeals to more people (not just kids), and it has a superior games library.
Yeah and the same for Playstation in terms of momentum. All of those are opinions. If there is a Switch pro revision in March it will keep the momentum going for a few years.
Just look at 2020: it is the worst year for Switch in terms of games and it’s still setting record after record.
Japan sales lifetime for PS4 are already behind Switch despite the console having more years of presence and MH Rise is going to kill it there.
Who cares about cold boots when you have quick resume? After the first time, it's instant as long as it's within the last 4 or 5 games you've played.
What really matters are the load times IN GAME. My guess is PS5 wins in this case but I'll wait to see real comparisons.
I always unplug the console after I'm done gaming so yeah I care.
Sure, because even if PS5 will have the record shipments in gaming history for their first fiscal year, they will be very supply constrained (preorders were sold out in minutes worldwide), while Switch its on the peak of its lifecycle when at the same time the other consoles are just released or are at the end of their lifecycle.Switch will outsells PS5 in Nov and Dec with a new record numbers.
PS5 will also quicker loads than cold boots, and will be multiple for every game to load a specific game mode or stage directly skipping menus or logo screens, and will work for all installed games, not the most recently played ones only.Who cares about cold boots when you have quick resume? All gaming and internet companies experienced a huge boost since March or so due to covid. In the case of Switch, it also got in March AC, one of its best selling games ever.Just look at 2020: it is the worst year for Switch in terms of games and it’s still setting record after record.
Japan sales lifetime for PS4 are already behind Switch despite the console having more years of presence and MH Rise is going to kill it there.
Until now, aligning sales Switch sales have been pretty similar to the PS4 ones, with the only difference of their Christmas periods not being aligned. Then starting in March or so both had an unexpected peak due to covid so aligning sales Switch will have it earlier and PS4 later, which means that until these moments catch up in their launch aligned comparisions Switch will have a lead.I'm afraid it's going to be other way - Switch will crush all sales charts with many records not seen since DS/wii era
You're just proving my point. Cold boot loading doesn't matter. Need to see in game loading.PS5 will also quicker loads than cold boots, and will be multiple for every game to load a specific game mode or stage directly skipping menus or logo screens, and will work for all installed games, not the most recently played ones only.
Two Valhalla fast travels in this vid, one is the same but the other is 8 seconds quicker on Series X.
Cold boot loading times matter, specially for comparisions. You're just proving my point. Cold boot loading doesn't matter. Need to see in game loading.
Not in terms of real life gameplay experiences. You cold boot far less than you load things in game. Therefore it the in game experience and load times that actually matter.Cold boot matter, specially for comparisions.
You'll get a cold boot multiple times in both consoles in real life gameplay experiences, so they matter. Not in terms of real life gameplay experiences. You cold boot far less than you load things in game. Therefore it the in game experience and load times that actually matter.

I think this is true, especially with multiple quick resume slots. In reality near all the loading gamers experience is in-game. Those are the most important numbers. Not in terms of real life gameplay experiences. You cold boot far less than you load things in game. Therefore it the in game experience and load times that actually matter.
