Joe Rogan's Podcast |OT|

Well, it looks like Rogan sold out.

.....I was sour on Joe since he announced he was moving, but this shit is ridiculous. Pretty sure Alex Jones episodes are the highest viewed on youtube right?

Something else that bothers me that shouldnt, is how he is talking about leaving LA for Texas and telling everyone else to do it to, they will eventually shit up that state also with their retard lefty views and then move on to the next state with sense before fucking that up also

2 hours into this duncan podcast

apologizing on behalf of moloch worshipers and wanting for george washington statues to be pulled down (because tearing down is easy, his words)

disappointing stuff, not sure what i expected from a faux monk 'scapist who values satanism

I was wondering what the E was and its for Explicit. Not seeing one for Nikki Glaser is hilarious, the porn stuff she talked about was so degenerate lol.

I'm about 3 and a half hours in and man Joe is fuuuuucked up. Drunk and stoned as a MFer slurring his words, etc.

He leaked the next 2 guests on his pod. Miley Cyrus and Mike Tyson are the next two.

Apparently Spotify won't dictate whatever he does on his podcast or who he has, but in terms of past episodes they can not post ones they dislike. It shouldn't affect it going forward.

Might be worth smart people downloading them from Youtube and reuploading to bittube or similar for preservation purposes.

I actually download his youtubes a lot, before corona when i would travel for work i spent a lot of time siting in airports or hotels with shitty wifi so i would just download entire weeks worth of episodes, throw them on a tablet and watch that way.

I have kept some of my personal favorites but its not a bad idea to grab some more, namely Alex Jones episodes

Hearing Duncan Trussell talk about European & African history is mind crippling.
At least Joe ended his independent reign with one of the dumbest episodes he's ever put out. You put dense (who thinks he's S-M-R-T) with incredibly stupid space case, and you get the Rogan-Trussell episode. I made it about 50 minutes in (with tons of skipping) before I bailed from that thick stew of derpness those two were cooking. Woof!

Part of me still enjoyed it enough to keep it going for nearly 3h, but that history lesson is going to keep me up at night. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I don’t think Joe would have taken the deal if they told him he can’t talk to certain people. Joe doesn’t seem like the guy who would stand for that. Especially since he considers many his personal friends.

We’ll see I guess.

A lot of this is early adoption issues and transition issues. I doubt we'll care as much this same time next year. Give it time.

It's $100 million, man. I'd take that deal even if they told me I could only have Tucker Carlson on as a guest.

I didn't expect Mikhalia to be on the list. Weird diet stuff aside she's harmless. Jordan is surprisingly absent from the cuts. The left fears him more than just about anyone.
Fears? Jordan? I don't see it. There are bigger boogeymen out there than Peterson.

Joe is the most popular podcaster in the world he could have gotten that deal from anyone. Spotify needs Joe more than Joe needs them. They’re the platform trying to make a name for themselves.

I mean think about it. They want to land the world’s top podcaster. They come to him and say we are prepared to offer you this huge deal but you can no longer interview these people. If Joe says no, do you think they just go “ok, then no deal” and walk away? No chance in hell, they want to land Rogan to make a name for themselves.

I really doubt it was in the contract that he can’t have certain people on and I’m sure even if the initial offer did and he turned it down there’s no way that’s a dealbreaker for Spotify with how much money Rogan will net them.

Which means that there are leftists who actually get along with him too.

That's not what I'm addressing.
My bad. Oh definitely. There are plenty of people even on the left who get along great with him. Why wouldn't any sane person? He just seems to be more specifically targeted than those names you mentioned by the more extreme types.

He could've gotten the deal from anyone, yet he didn't. He got it from Spotify. They had to have offered him way more than anyone else for him to take his shit off Youtube and Apple Podcasts. And because they offered an exorbitant amount that now has him financially secure for the rest of his life, he was probably willing to make some concessions such as not having certain guests. And again, I would absolutely do the same thing if I was him.

My greater underlying point is that if "normal" people don't like being overgeneralized that anything to the right of Marx is "alt-right" or "Nazi", then overgeneralizing about the paranoia and neuroticism of a certain group and making a blanket statement about "the left" doesn't help your case either. Peterson takes great pains to elaborate on his thoughts quite extensively to suss out every last bit of nuance, and is very specific when he calls out the failings of movements like post-modernism without overgeneralizing (usually). For the sake of proper discourse and accuracy, specificity is important.
