you forgot that spencer have a record of saying similar things ,and do the contrary? like "we believe on no exclusivity for next gen"
But Microsoft is absolutely the least exclusive publisher with a platform of their own. They don't even lock their PC games to their own store and seem fine giving Steam a cut to have their games on there.
Microsoft publishes titles on the Switch, Steam, iOS, Android, and Playstation platforms though, all are competitors, but all have an install base to sell games to. They don't care where you play their games because they make money on the games regardless of where you buy them.
Xbox Studios games are released on platforms on a by-case basis. Ori was a great fit for the Switch, Ori was a great fit, and they ported it perfectly. They didn't have to keep Minecraft on the Playstation platform, but it wouldn't be fair to those players so the Playstation platform gets a version to keep them playing. Seeing as there are Minecraft fans on the PS5, it wouldn't be fair not to release Minecraft Dungeons on the platform they use, so Playstation gets a version of that too. Studios that Microsoft buys continue to work on and finish games they had obligations to finish like The Outer Worlds, Ghostline: Tokyo and Deathloop.
Name one Sony studios game that has been released on an Xbox or a Nintendo platform. They released PC versions of two titles, and one was a terrible cash-grab port.
