Real Madrid made the game go exactly as they wanted.
We know Liverpool will just burst into the game and push as hard we they can, we didn't care for that we just let them have the ball confident that whatever they can muster we can score more. Basically let them tire themselves and just hit them with a counter and conserve our energy for the long run (this is a final that can go into extra time and we have several aging players) and just outscore them by the end of the game when they are dead on their feet in exhaustion. The way the game played out was not Liverpool forcing it on Real Madrid, it was Real Madrid steering in that way because that is our game plan.

As for the league comment I'll have you ponder this stat and tell us your honest opinion:

And I do watch them and encourage everyone to watch EL and UECL, there is a lot of great football there.
You might feel bored seeing teams won the UCL multiple times but you ignore the clubs names and just enjoy the football played on the pitch I think you would be able to enjoy it because football after all is football and we enjoy football

It's just kinda funny how people are falling over themselves to declare teams as being among the best ever and when they lose it doesn't count because the other team apparently didn't play football in the right way. Also how Michael Owen was going to bat so hard for Liverpool when their fans don't even like him! Even Steven Gerrard, Mr Liverpool himself, was being more realistic about it.

The idea that Liverpool should have just sat deep is kinda ridiculous when we saw how TAA's lack of positional awareness cost them. Sitting back deep and absorbing pressure is in itself a skill. Liverpool play in a way that best suits them. Another style being possibly less appealing to watch doesn't mean that it's easy to switch into. I think TAA is a great player but if Liverpool had sat deep and invited more pressure then Madrid would have absolutely hammered him. He's great at the role he plays, and it's an important part of Liverpool's style, but there's a reason Southgate has typically picked Kyle Walker over him.

As for United, we'll see. There's been some big changes in terms of the higher ups so hopefully that makes a difference. And ten Hag feels like a great choice and one motivated by on-the-pitch priorities rather than just grabbing the biggest name available. There's going to be a lot of players leaving so it feels like the potential is there for a refresh. But with the Glazers still in place it's hard to get too optimistic. But it should be interesting to watch nonetheless. I try and keep in mind that I've been lucky to see my team beat everyone and win everything. It will be transition period for you, while spending money is important the more important aspect of it is to spend money that make sense for the club needs on the pitch, your club owners and previous management only cared about the commercial side so we will find out if they learned their lesson or not in the coming seasons, if they learned their lesson you for sure will see better results and performance.

I was surprised reading the news about him staying as consultant to be honest, he was a manager when you signed him and I assumed he wanted to continue doing that so reading this now is what I originally expected.

You ideal is to replace the entire front line in one swoop? that is a risky move because players will need time to adjust to new teams systems so you are basically crippling yourself for a while I think

It really baffles me when I see anyone who watched the final who did not realise what Real Madrid were doing and how we actually were steering the game the way we wanted. That Benzema goal I wanted it to count
