Well Days Gone is a moer enjoyable experience than Horizon Zero Dawn. Dont understand why so many people love Horizon Zero Dawn.
I"m a fan of the game, but cannot imagine playing it without controller.God of War will sell gangbusters on PC. For anyone to use one of the least popular exclusives as a sign that PC gamers don't want to buy the games are being incredibly disingenuous. Put Bloodborne or GoW or TLOU on PC and see how much that shit sells.
You are forgetting that many pc gamers also have consoles for exclusives. If you have both and you are never going to replay HZD, why purchase it again on pc? Especially if the port is not great. Both sold like crap by any metric and should finally let Sony know it is foolish endeavor. Losing console sales to get almost no PC sales. PC games love to buy hardware but they sure don't like buying games.
Are these PC ports even worth it for Sony? From what I remember, Horizon hardly sold gangbusters.
Yea, let’s talk about cringy games.
I mean, it's not like you'd have to. PS and XBOX controllers work natively on PC, and games that more or less require a controller (Souls, Yakuza etc.) have no issues moving copies on PC.I"m a fan of the game, but cannot imagine playing it without controller.
At this point i'm just happy that people consider biomutant a game that can steal sells from a AAA sony gamePeople forget but H:ZD launched in a dry period last year, so it had an easier time. Comparatively DG had to go up against some very popular releases like ME:LE & Biomutant all within the same timeframe.
For me DG is by far the better game, and I think over time it will have stronger legs on PC comparatively.
Why would a person who owns PS4/5 play it on PC though.I mean, it's not like you'd have to. PS and XBOX controllers work natively on PC, and games that more or less require a controller (Souls, Yakuza etc.) have no issues moving copies on PC.
Why wouldn't they? I own Bloodborne on PS4 and I'd kill for a PC port. Why would a person who owns PS4/5 play it on PC though.
You mean new release vs 2 yo game? It totally can.At this point i'm just happy that people consider biomutant a game that can steal sells from a AAA sony game
Well a new AA release with less than flattering reviews and even worse reviews on steam, so yeah, pleasantly surprised. You mean new release vs 2 yo game? It totally can.
Jesus Christ, you people couldn't sound more stupid if you were paid to pretend retardation.PCMR put your money where your mouth is or stop port begging, what you waiting for steam sales at 10$?
Because it's better by any possible metric? Why would a person who owns PS4/5 play it on PC though.
Stop wasting resources on PC Jim.
How much do you even think a port may cost? Are these PC ports even worth it for Sony? From what I remember, Horizon hardly sold gangbusters.
That's bullshit. If the value to you is diminished by a PC port, that’s your own insecurities - no more, no less. No one owes you anything just because you have the console version. You bought and paid for a game on a console, and it continues to be a game on a console after a PC version releases. If it means that much to you, either sell the console versions when the PC versions release or don’t buy the console versions at all. No one is forcing you to do anything. Don’t take emotion over your decisions out on others.
The warrior tribe is nothing but people doing exactly that. Insecurities leading to attachment and loyalty to entertainment products sold by for-profit businesses to whom nothing is a factor until is affects profit. A few console warring fanboys pissing in the wind because their gods aren’t treating them like the special little boys and girls they want to be isn’t affecting anyone or anything except the threads they cry in.
Imagine thinking Sony or anyone else gives a shit that you’ve chosen to feel upset about your perception of value changing.
*ring ring*
“Hi, is that Timmy? It’s Jim Ryan. I was thinking of porting one of our games to PC, because it’s money for old rope and the PC market isn’t a direct competitor like Xbox is and the console sales have dropped, so we won’t be hurting our core audience in any significant way. But I wanted to make sure you’re okay with it because I don’t want you to feel like your PlayStation is less valuable now. No? You’re not happy because you think your purchase is less justifiable now? The other reasons to own a PS5 don’t matter to you, you’re in it for Days Gone and Horizon and that’s it? Oh okay, I won’t bother then.”
I don't think this is true. Horizon was only in bronze tier of yearly sales based on Revenue.Horizon had sold 2-5mil week ago, on Steam alone. I bet taking into account all launchers, Horizon is probably around 5mil by now.
Days Gone may not end up that high, but its probably going to reach 2mil at least, accross all launchers.
These are old games, selling in the millions, all for the cost of a port.
People are dreaming if they think these numbers wont match, or even exceed Sony's expectations for these ports.
Yeah, and the explanation was idiotic garbage. That's bullshit.
I already explained the value factor and how exclusive games play a role on it, and I dont need to repeat myself.
Yes and so is Jedi Fallen Order, Sekiro. Metro Exodus, Death stranding, etc. Steam Spy had HZD at 2-5mil sales months ago, and HZD sold 700k in its frist week.I don't think this is true. Horizon was only in bronze tier of yearly sales based on Revenue.
Best of Steam - 2020
A look back at the year's top sellers, new releases, most-played games, and more!store.steampowered.com
Biomutant is bigger than Days Gone?Maybe people are waiting for a month where it doesnt contain RE Village, ME Legendary, Biomutant and Days Gone. We owe nothing to Sony, the game will keep selling for years, we arent here to fund your PS5 sequel, get a grip.
It's just a fact, the sales number are very strong, regardless of that game's reception. That will no doubt have had an effect, and yeah I forgot RE:V which is an even bigger deal for the crowd that would've bought DG.At this point i'm just happy that people consider biomutant a game that can steal sells from a AAA sony game
To be brutally honest though, from my observation PC gamers are the masters of port begging. Look at all the begging for Bloodborne or God of War on PC for example.Nobody is port begging. The best thing about Playstation 'exclusives' on PC is the reaction from a certain warrior tribe....
The Souls series sells huge on PC, and BloodBorne is one of the best. Of course PC users would want BloodBorne. To be brutally honest though, from my observation PC gamers are the masters of port begging. Look at all the begging for Bloodborne or God of War on PC for example.
Your observation is trash. To be brutally honest though, from my observation PC gamers are the masters of port begging. Look at all the begging for Bloodborne or God of War on PC for example.
A good rule of thumb for a rough estimate is user reviews multiplied by 50. Meaning, one in fifty users bother writing a review. Are these PC ports even worth it for Sony? From what I remember, Horizon hardly sold gangbusters.
not surprising. the game sucks ass. hopefully the next one to come to PC is Bloodborne. that'll destroy Horizon Zero Dawn.
Nah, I haven't seen much begging for GoW.To be brutally honest though, from my observation PC gamers are the masters of port begging. Look at all the begging for Bloodborne or God of War on PC for example.
I know what I read and observed all over the internet. It seems like every time a new game gets announced for PlayStation or XBOX, there were people asking, where’s the PC port or why isn’t this coming to PC? I want to play it in glorious 120fps, 4k, etc, etc. I’ve even heard PC gamers say weaker “peasant” consoles are holding back gaming and all games should be on PC because of the superior hardware and stuff like that.Your observation is trash.
Selective memory at best.
Despite shit tier reviews, Biomutant has outdone Days Gone on Steam peak concurrency, and was almost on par with Horizon. I wonder how many refunds Biomutant is gonna have tho. Or PC gamers just don't give a single fuck about reviews (based btw).
I imagine a lot of people preordered, then played for an hour and refunded. Still, since the studio is quite small, they might actually make a profit. Who knows.Wouldn't be surprised at all if Biomutant is getting a lot of refund requests on Steam. Currently the user rating for the game is 56% positive with nearly 3000 reviews. Days Gone is currently 91% positive with just over 5000.
Biomutant isn't a port of a 2 years old game that already has been pretty discounted and even given away 'for free' to subscribers.Despite shit tier reviews, Biomutant has outdone Days Gone on Steam peak concurrency, and was almost on par with Horizon. I wonder how many refunds Biomutant is gonna have tho. Or PC gamers just don't give a single fuck about reviews (based btw).
Garbage Sony games can't cut it in the most competitive market of the video game industry. Who would have thought?
You don't know shit.I know what I read and observe all over the internet.
Yeah that guy is on a role with his statements today. In another thread he said 'most gamers' hate Doom Eternal, Fallout 4, Outer Worlds, and a few others lol.You don't know shit.
You conveniently overlook whatever doesn't fit your bias.
I could drown you in a deluge of posts of console players pestering developers about getting any given game on their PS4, XBOX not to mention the motherfucking Switch port begging that I swear it must be even more endemic (and invasive) that cockroaches and mosquitos these days.
Hell, chances are you may even be part of it, yet completely oblivious to it.
