I'd better think of:Think of the following
Demon's Souls -> Sony's money -> Elden Ring
I would bet that:
Demon's Souls -> Gamepass ->

There are some games, where this does not workYou are aware you donāt need Internet to play a physical game right?
Fixed.Demon's Souls -> Sony's money -> Elden Ring
Demon's Souls -> Microsoft money -> Elden Ring

Not good logic here.
Consoles serve as a low barrier of entry compared to PC. They serve a purpose that a PC canāt provide. Not a good comparison.
Itās a lot more expensive to own a PC with an equivalent GPU for gaming. Thatās the point.I don't even game on PC, but your logic doesn't really make sense to me. PC games sell incredibly well even for their "high barrier of entry". Not to mention PC provides a very large installment base. There are many who play exclusively on PC, not utilizing that is bad business... Potentially losing in millions of software sales.
Horizon Zero Dawn brought in over $70+ million in revenue alone on PC. This was a game that was selling for a discounted price of $4.99 on PS4/5 and pretty much barely being touched on consoles.
Bringing the games out for console first is perfectly fine and I totally understand why they should do that, but not capitalizing the PC market a year or two after a game's release is a missed opportunity. Sony realized this in 2020... that's why they're continuing the trend now.
agreed just put the disc in and playPeople who are interested only in gaming often don't want the hassle of dealing with a PC but this is something that PC gamers will never be able to comprehend so it's not even worth wasting your breath.
I've been gaming on a PC since I was a kid too but there are obvious advantages to gaming on a console too, especially in this day and age.
Without Sony's money nobodoy would ever know about From Software. They were making their trash games for 15 years before making DS that became a cult.Fixed.
And why would it be different with MS's gamepass money?Without Sony's money nobodoy would ever know about From Software. They were making their trash games for 15 years before making DS that became a cult.
Simple: nothing like DS ever came out of Gamepass.And why would it be different with MS's gamepass money?
It is, I agree with that. But that's not as important today as it was 15-20 years ago. Many more people own powerful PCs today, PC gaming has exploded in popularity the last few years.Itās a lot more expensive to own a PC with an equivalent GPU for gaming. Thatās the point.
Of course it hasn't. It has been, what, 2-3 years since they went all in on gamepass? Elden Ring didn't come out until 13 years later after initial Demon Souls either.Simple: nothing like DS ever came out of Gamepass.
Disagree, but I respect your opinion.It is, I agree with that. But that's not as important today as it was 15-20 years ago.
they probably will release that one on consoles eventually thoBecause I'm pissed I don't get some of the amazing PC games on my ps5. The main one I can think of right now being Baldurs Gate 3
Bingo, less games sold on said console translates into less systems sold=a failure.......if you don't have q trillion dollar machine backing you up.
Sega found this out with the Dreamcast, hence why they are 3rd party today.
The games are over a year old. So why not make more money?No reason to buy consoles, less consoles sold, less games on consoles, in the end no console

Then again its a you problem if you prefer visuals over performance and gameplay.
What is so difficulty in plugging a HDMI cable on the TV?

Maybe because of the fact that the game came out.....THREE AND A HALF YEARS AGO on the playstation before it was ported to PC? Of course it won't continue insane sales numbers over and over especially when a sequel was already announced.Horizon Zero Dawn brought in over $70+ million in revenue alone on PC. This was a game that was selling for a discounted price of $4.99 on PS4/5 and pretty much barely being touched on consoles.
Yup.Not everyone has their gaming PC right beside their living room TVs.
I literally plug mine in the same way as my PS5 and it works.People have to spend hours fiddling with the HDMI ports in order to connect PC to TV

I really doubt it will take years from now on for most PlayStation exclusives to go to PC. Seems like the release windows are getting shorter and shorter. They said approximately a year for PC ports, but they also said āwe believe in generationsā, so basically things can change. I still think day and date non live service games are coming later especially if they see an increase in sales.Yeah not sure that will work out if you have to wait 4 years for a PS title to come to PC. I don't think anyone minds that. Console players still get their exclusivity for a long time to actually make it a point of having a console.
Makes there no reason to buy consoles and also a waste of time and resources which should be focused on making new games for their real consumer base.
It's simple, it devalues the games
This notion that a platform holder would target specs outside his platform will never be not nonsense.Because it takes the quality away from PlayStation exclusives IMO and most PC gamers have GTX 1060s according to Steamā¦ TLOU II only looked so good because of closed specs and optimizations to the metal by the top notch world class team at Naughty Dogā¦imagine if PlayStation exclusives target weak PC hardwareā¦
You do realize PC games have graphics settings and requirement specs, yes?Because it takes the quality away from PlayStation exclusives IMO and most PC gamers have GTX 1060s according to Steamā¦ TLOU II only looked so good because of closed specs and optimizations to the metal by the top notch world class team at Naughty Dogā¦imagine if PlayStation exclusives target weak PC hardwareā¦
I love how people ignore the fact that the Xbox division of Microsoft was bleeding money until not to long ago. 4th generation of said console they are finally turning a marginal profit "oh they are doing great"Except for the fact that the console that has zero exclusives is doing great. Console gamers are console gamers due to ease of use and a lower cost entry point. Game Pass is also on PC, so there goes that argument too.
It fragments the player base too then the neglect comes in for the console side. The GoW devs comes to mind, they released that half assed "upgrade" patch for Playstation 5 but Sony put so much time and effort into the PC port that they should have done for their own console.It's simple, it devalues the games
