Its not my Spider-man though, wheter you think its lame or whatever. And the game is not woke, its super woke(unless people play with a blinder). And I'm not even saying that based on Miles himself, I'm talking about the whole game in general(missions, side missions, details, etc).
When I go to watch Batman, I go to watch Bruce Wayne as Batman. Same with all super-heroes. Why people make it look like its not a big deal I will never understand. Nothing against who like that character though, but Peter Parker is the Spider-man and this is an estabilished fact.

I agree, he's being given Peters Arc instead of his own, at least in the Spiderverse films is somethign different and to be fair to Insomniac Miles, he has Hailey as a love interest now, so I could kinda see them stick with herNope, I never really liked the whole recycled love interest of the comics even making her a lot younger to fit Miles Age but it seem silly to me
People praise Miles for being an alternative Character done right because his is different to Peter.
But everything else including his name is ripped from Peter.
Miles needs his own path, the character is there but the world is not, everything is borrowed.
And the the best thing they could do with Spider Gwen is reunite them

But I agree they have done the character good with the exception of him being kinda annoying.

Are you super offended that Spider-Man Across the Spider-verse movies has Miles Morales as the main character? Spider-Man had 2 games where Peter Parker's story was center stage. He's an aging Spider-Man, so it makes complete story sense for Miles Morales to have a bigger part. It's nothing to do with being "woke"

I take it you are new to Spider-Man.
Cuz Spider-People have been a thing since like the 70s.
Miles Morales, Ghost-Spider and Silk are actually really really new in comparsion to all the other Spider-People so comic fans are not only used to it, but have embrassed it because we got a bunch of really cool characters out of it.
Ben Reilly, Jessica Drew, Anya Cor, Miguel O'Hara, Noir, Julia Carpenter.
Ironically I really dislike comic Miles even if on paper I really should, near literally every other incarnation of Miles is better than the comic one.
Literally a side character in his own book.

Shes almost certainly gonna be playable or atleast featured in the stand-alone expansion or full on Spider-Man 3.
Introducing her in the post credits scene wasnt for fun......I hope.
She gives me vibes of SEGA's Nightshade game back on PS2. I could 'get behind' a game with her in it

Cool. His game play is decidedly better in SM2 compared to Peter, and Peter has practically ran his entire story arc through.

Wheter you disagree or not with what I said, Peter Parker is Spider-man. This is an estabilished fact, wheter there are "more spider-mans from different universes" its meanless. The original animated series already have a multitude of Spider-mans when Madam Web helped Peter, didn't substitute him because he is the Spider-man. Its just like saying theres different Batmans because theres a certain time or whatever that created different versions of same Batman. I go to movies and play their games with that intent and probably 90% of people do so and people downplay this for the most retarded reasons.

The point of that message wasn’t that anyone can literally be Spider-Man. It’s that anyone can choose to do the right thing. Peter is just like anybody else but this great power was thrust upon him. He acted like a selfish dickhead at first, but learned the weight of responsibility that came with this power.
The problem for me is how Marvel and by extension Insomniac misinterpreted that message to Spider-Man into a brand while putting Peter Parker, the driving force of the character, in the back seat (if not outright shoving him out of the car).

Again, IF those future entries were to decline in sales, for whatever reason, I don't believe Insomniac Games are above deviating from their vision in favor of returning to classic Spider-Man to please fans.
Because of the nature of Marvel superheroes and the multiverse thing, there is no single continuity, so they can just as easily make another game based on those classic storylines.
Peter Parker is the defacto Spider-Man and is still considerably more popular than Miles Morales. He's who people think of whenever they hear the name.
Not to mention there is a contingent of people who do not like MIles for one reason or another.

Think I’m done with this universe. I don’t care for insomniacs vision for Spider-Man. I liked the first one alright but MM and SM2 kinda sucked to me. Feel like the writing is downgrading with every installment.
Even woke stuff aside I’m just not down for this take. Too techy. Too shallow. Too childish. Too zany for my liking. The fact that Spider-Man ends canonically with that atrocious white anti venom suit with goo powers just feels so… not Spider-Man to me. And miles addidas product placement suit? Don’t even get me started. The woke stuff was just the final nail in the coffin that accelerated me jumping off. Just a completely sterile corporatized series to me. Man I’d kill for a new Batman game or a arkham style superman game right now

Miles goes to stop a music history museum theft. Find out it was the white man who thinks he is owed everything made by black people.
Miles goes to the Visions school to help out where we find almost every single person is autistic, gay, furry, or some combination.
Harry cries that Peter cares more about Miles. This was the big defining "Oooh I am so angry I am venom" moment.
Black Cat shows up just to act in a bipolar fashion, say she is gay, and then disappears.
Almost all the art you see are BIPOC art. Fuck the Jewish and Italians who make up a large segment of the city, I guess. They don't matter.
Peter fails at everything and needs MJ or Miles to fix it for him, because Pete can't do anything on his own.

The more I think about it after beating, the worst the narrative beats get. Thankfully the core gameplay is legit fantastic (and it helps I didn't pay a dime for it so no loss on my end. Sucks to be Al though).

I'm not looking for clout, I just didn't expect for the title to be such a big spoiler for some. In my eyes it doesn't even spoil anything that happens in the game, all it does is say that in the future Miles will be the main protag. It's something they could have said a year ago without Spider-Man 2 being released and it wouldn't be any different to me. Evidently not everyone sees it that way and for that I'm sorry.
