Like any new bold revolutionary game, once the newness of it wears off and you get used to it, it always comes down to how interesting the world is and if it truly is as explorable, interesting as they claim with interesting quests.

Some games are able to deliver and some aren't where the quests are monotonous and repetitive and boring, and you find yourself in a boring gameplay loop looting the same stuff over and over again where the exploration starts to get stale after a while.

I have faith this will be the former and not the latter. But we'll see. If nothing else, credit to them for having big goals.

SlimySnake SlimySnake I don't know about you, but this feels like one of the first true next-gen experience to me.
It does. posted this in the next gen thread.

Starfield looks next gen

I have been saying this since it was first revealed and especially when they showed the vistas last year. the lighting is a cut above other games this gen for sure. some of the environmental details and character models can be better but that lighting holy shit.

This will be a decent game at least.

I am worried about the story-telling, it probably wont be on rockstars level. I need that dynamicness to feel alive. The bad facial animation is not helping.
Also the human enemies looked the same..

Fuck gamepass for that, buying the deluxe edition.

If the watch has a step tracker that I can sync to, getting that as well.
The watch is made by The Wand Company, who seem to be a British prop maker who make Star Trek communicators and stuff. I really wonder about the quality of the watch. Seems to have a baromether and thermometer, but it's not a smartwatch.

The presentation was okay, but Starfield easily took the show! With Starfield, this is an easy 9. Without it, maybe a 7. I wanted more from Hellblade 2, but overall I'm quite satisfied with it.

And to be honest, I'm actually even more excited for their 2024 showcase; there's so much they have in the pipelines that they didn't show. Everwild. Perfect Dark. Wolfenstein. Killer Instinct. State of Decay 3. Contraband. Indiana Jones. The Coalition's new game. Gears 6. Project Mara. And Lord knows what else they haven't even revealed yet. Things are starting to look up at Xbox!

Thank you uncle Phil!

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

I don't strictly mean in terms of visuals.

I meant in terms of game play scale and scope.

Like how when we saw Dead Rising for the first time and the hoards of zombies, we all collectively went "yeah, this is a next-gen game and something the last gen can't do at all"

People will not sell their PS5's but I expect we will see some quarters where Xbox sales outnumber PlayStation. This is a generational game if it delivers what was shown. MS purchased Bethesda just in time to get this off of PlayStation consoles.

I can only see that happening in US. Sony is still going to have Spider-man 2 which is massive system seller.
