All the talk re: MS points and Ultimate, personally I find the rate poor. When you can do the region switched Gold stacking, as pointed out by adamsapple , for as little as £80 for 3 years, I just use my MS points for hardware instead.

Where are you finding 3 years for 80? (whatever that would be in US$) I haven't really looked into it as I'm still living off the original 3 year deal plus Rewards/Ambassador keeping it alive, but if I could use those points to make the next console or controller cheaper it could be nicer

You can buy the codes from any region, and then just use a VPN to redeem on your normal UK/US account.

You can buy keys from places like CD Keys, Eneba, g2a etc.

Just checking Hotukdeals, the 12 month Turkish code was £24.99 last month and also 2 months ago.

You can convert 3 years of Gold to GPU, the only difference is instead of $1 you pay $14.99 for the conversion.

To be fair, the people I know who are into Call of Duty already do this. Gotta buy a new $70 game every year anyway, and lots of them buy the battle pass and DLC and all that shit. Then get the mobile shit, so you can play on the go...

I personally don't play the games, and I don't like online multiplayer anything, but I feel most of the COD-bros I know would gladly just pay a monthly fee. Especially true if it meant they could cancel after a couple of months when everyone got bored with it, then re-sub again when the new game dropped, etc.

So easy to do when all you have to do is spam in 1-10 &/or the alphabet real fast in bing search. On top of clicking in & out of random stuff for a split second for even more points. Only took around 2 weeks this past month, I'm like 2 months ahead at this point

It really does feel too good to be true and after using Game Pass for several years now it would suck to go back B2P only. I've played so many great games I wouldn't have looked at twice let alone buy them if not for Game Pass.

I hope Xbox stays consumer friendly too. In the ABK Acquisition thread it seemed like some Xbros would like to see Sony crumbling and reduced to 3rd party publisher and Sony bros predicting them going out of business or getting sold off. That would be the worst thing that could happen to Xbox and to gamers.

I may not be the biggest Sony fan but a healthy and competitive Sony will keep Xbox consumer friendly. Which outside of the hysteria and panic I'm sure is exactly the state Sony will be in when the dust settles.

Someone else here (can't remember) gave me this tip.

Save a bunch bing links in Edge collection. Once a day, click on that collection.

Click the three dots and then "Open all in new window". No more spamming the alphabet. Saves a lot of time and easy points.

Used this for PC Gamepass a couple of times. Played HiFi Rush and Pentiment like this, but it's not the end of the world. If 10 bucks a month is still on the table it's pretty okay, since I mostly use the service as a "demo" to see if I want to buy the game later down the road. If it gets more expensive then I don't think it's gonna be worth it. Obviously Gamepass is gonna see a lot of changes after the Acti Blizz deal is done.

Game Pass is worth the money. I've gotten turned on to so many games because of it. That's really the best part about it, trying stuff you never would have bought. Yakuza is like a top tier series for me now thanks to Game Pass.
