"Please be hesitant about this post as I highly doubt it’s true. However, this Reddit account who made this post was created yesterday and seemed to post the information across multiple subreddits."

I like how this is worded as somehow meaningful in any way.

Yakuza will surely be announced at TGS, it usually is I think....

Outside of Persona and Yakuza, nothing else matters.

Yawn, man sega has become so boring. Yakuza is cool but they come out so often you don’t have enough time to miss the series.

Don’t get me started on sonic.

Down for a new virtua fighter fighter though

"Sonic Frontiers is in post-production now. "

Who the heck uses the term "post-production"? I get what it's supposed to be (it's the testing and "polishing"... which sometimes also means full redevelopment,) but that's not a term I hear thrown around much in gaming. AV production, sure, but I feel like it'd be odd to hear somebody call the phase of crunch and desperate completion sprinting to be their idea of "after production". Maybe it's common in producer speak, but gaming tends to more use "Alpha" and "Beta" and "Testing" and "Full-Blown-Shitstorm" and other terms like that...

Hopefully fake because that's a weak ass lineup

I mean, looking at actual SEGA release calendars in the past few years, it's not bad by the numbers (not a lot I'd be interested in, but it reads like there would be hits in the mix.) Sega itself doesn't publish a lot these days, so this doesn't strike me as low or short on big titles if it were real. They do a Sonic, they do another Sonic, they do a Sonic offshoot, they do a Yakuza, they do a legacy title doomed-to-undersell attempt, ect...

Though questions of the lineup legitimacy fail to add up once you start figuring in products that should be on there like further Atlus releases or future Total War products or TFM or Hyenas or another Two Point game (albeit Two Point just finished Campus so we're talking 3-4 years away) and some of the indies SEGA distributes...

That's old news.

Series hasn't ended officially. It's just stalled until they figure their shit out with his talent agency (which is the main culprit here of course).

Rumor has it there's a Judgment live action series in the making featuring Kimura as the main lead. As for the game either they manage to come to an agreement with his agency or simply pull the plug on him and continue with another main lead. No way they'll kill the franchise imo.

They already proved with Ichiban they can come up with another super solid main lead.

But no new Judgement title until 2024 is a big oof from me.

They'd need to announce ports of all those Sonic games before putting them on Plus (though you can stream some of them), and even Sega would know to space them out better than that. The next movie is out next year so it's not even part of a ramp up for that.

It's just what I'd expect to be made up by Redditors, though - no imagination.

What a steaming pile of crap. Microsoft can have them. Wednesday is tomorrow.
And honestly what’s changed since a few years after their hardware collapsed? They need to have Team Ninja or From make them some modern Shinobi/Kunoichi software. Otherwise zero interest in any of their other properties.

The massive catalogue of sega arcade , saturn , dreamcast games people would love to be remastered etc, yet as always with sega its just sonic , sonic with a little bit more sonic, i dont think i ever bothered with a sonic game since i had a megadrive

its sega...not really much of bs here considering we all knkow about their sonic games and yakuza 8 has been leaked with scans and all...this is what sega is man. sonic and yakuza.

They took a bunch of stuff we already know, and added in Mario/Sonic Olympics as a 2024 launch title for the new Nintendo system...yeah ok. Also, why is Sega dumping all these Sonic games on Playstation Plus at the same time they make Sonic Streaming Service?

Again, smells like BS to me.

At this rate, we will see all of them remastered by 2322.

This is fake.

Do we really need to pollute this forum with stuff that is doubted even by the one that posted it on Reddit?

I don't think they will ever reach an agreement, the agency would not want to see nude mods on PC. That said the DLC was great so the series can surely do without Kimura.
