You know, these people would ask for a Remaster/Remake/ReRelease of their game every day on any new platform. They will tell you THAT game is the best of the best, no flaws whatsoever. You cannot under any cicrumstance point at anything bad with said game (or franchise) or they'll stand to death to defend anything about it. Every single possible event, no matter how minimal they are, these fans will be there asking for their game because it's obviously the only and most important thing in all the gaming industry. They'll make the biggest, most gargantual hyperbole on how that piece of grass in their beloved game is such a piece of art you shouldn't dare step on it with your character or you're obviously misunderstanding the godlike vision of its author. If you don't play or didn't like this game, you didn't reach gaming Valhalla and you must be punished with... DEATH.

For me as of late it's been Zelda fans for sure. It's like anytime a new open world game releases the BotW praisers come out trying to shit on anything and everything that isn't BotW, lol.

Runner up probably Fortnite and/or Battle Royale fans.

Really though, the reality here is just any radical hardcore fanboy or girl. You can be a large or even huge fan of literally anything and not be a prick. It's a special kind of person to be obnoxious, rude, shitty, etc. So, blanketing entire game communities and fans as a result of these cabbage brained dorks is unjust, haha.

Ouff, really hard pick for me between Souls and Undertale here. Both are part of a meme culture and Internet jargon that I don't understand or can relate to. Among other things that bug me. They make me feel really old (I'm 39 and have been gaming since the late 80's).

Hey fuckers, BOTW did some great things, like giving you absolute freedom (sorry .Pennywise ) in a world full of open world games that feel more like filling a list of chores rather than enjoying exploration. Made me feel like playing Morrowind or Dragon's Dogma, instead of Witcher 3 or AssCreed, which for me was a very good thing.

That said the game has some serious flaws. For me, the lack of enemy variety, proper dungeons and specially, the fucked up difficulty curve, which is so bad thanks to a healing system that lets you heal however and whenever you want with no issue.

Pokemon. It was the same game for ages and fans defended the devs that it's expensive to make models. The franchise isn't hurting for cash sales wise so that's no excuse. They did the bare minimum and "made" 2 games each time to scam people for over 2 decades.

Lots of comments like this in the thread. They would be more persuasive if the critical response to the game wasn't so overwhelmingly positive. There are people who have played tons of other open world titles (to the point of fatigue in many cases) who thought the game was revolutionary.
