I've platinumed God of War 2018 but I wouldn't consider it Best Game of all Time. I almost feel like it has to be a big sandbox open world game like GTA V where you don't get bored as easily. Or an MMO or PVP type of an experience where you keep playing for years and years.

I think its entirely possible the story might blow our minds more than we can imagine. Atreus identity, Angerboda, Tyrs role in the story, the possibilities to make the story very very interesting are there and I hope they manage to make the landing. I have a lot of confidence in SSM though, I think it will be even better than 2018.

I think Ragnarök will blow 2018 out of the water in terms of graphics, gameplay and enemy variety. It will be a better game in every way possible except one thing:

Look at the demographic of gamers now. They are younger then a lot of us 30 somethings, so its not shocking that APEX, Fortnite etc get that vote instead of Chrono Trigger, we know its a good ass game........do they know?

Probably not, so I don't think anything is wrong with the list or the voters tbh. Its simply that we are seeing a difference of demographic and the numbers are showing us this. I mean shit, a lot of us KNOW GTASA in features alone is above GTAV, but GTAV is still a solid game and still moved 100 million, so if it was JUST GTAV in gameplay, but GTASA in features, I think we'd all agree about it being above GTASA, but at this point.....this is just based on younger demographic that has embraced a different set of games compared to us.

Its why I want a GTASA remake, let a new generation see what the fuck they missed. You had low rider missions, pimping missions, 3 fucking cities lol That game spoiled the fuck out of us, they don't know what they are missing and a remake might show them just how great that game is, same with Chrono Trigger.

Blame Square, they could have BEEN remade this fucking game several times over or make some remaster in 4K etc Now its just a game us older gamers remember fondly, but some fortnite kid will have a hard time caring about such a title.

That's not a fair metric though for a number of reasons. Firstly because of first party bundles, and secondly because of price drops which sony first party games get lots of and very quickly because they make the game. Those both favour exclusives.

All games are subjective, I don't think there is such thing as best game of all time. I do believe that games can be the best executed from a technical standpoint.

GOW though is by far one of the best executed games in a long time. Gameplay, Graphics, Design and Story is all top tier. But whether you like the game or not is still subjective.
