Tschumi, if you got me a few years ago I would have loved participating in (and losing) in your weekly picks challenge. Unfortunately, I don't follow the wider NFL like I did back then so now I'd just pick most games on which logo I think is cooler.

That being said, nobody circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bill's and we're still going...(recalibrating)...12-5 this year. The NFL and Nick Wright are still on notice damnit!

well bro if u ever wanna tiptoe back into the punditry u'll find a place reserved ^_^ no worries either way

Full disclosure i don't know that much either, i just go by first impressions from footage and the occasional podcast

12-5... sounds about right if not the slightest bit pessimistic...

Philadelphia would be chirping as they're leading the division. But it's only a matter of time before they come crashing down to Earth.
I personally believe that 1 point loss is better than a blowout, at least u can mix it
That goes without saying though right? I would rather lose by a single point than 30.

Hard to tell but it looks like the Manning broadcast got universal praise? I'm not seeing any negativity out there for it which is surprising because Twitter.
I turned it on halfway through the 1st quarter and they were about to have Barkley on. I was surprised that I liked the manning broadcast so much.

Eli ws ripping on his brother all night. They were both insightful with Peyton kinda being the play by play guy even though they would talk over alot of plays. Kelce was funny, Wilson stayed thru OT and talked smack about the OT rules.

Definitely check it out on Monday. I generally think mnf got shitty games and the announcers have been ass the last few years but I'll actually tune into the games to hear the mannings. And this is coming from a Pats fan so I was already kinda bias against them.

Hypothetical:

You take the worst 2 teams in an NFL season. Last year that was the Jaguars and the Jets. You cherry pick the best players from each roster to form 1 team (53 players). How good is that team? What kind of record does a team like that get the next year?

since you'd still entirely lack an OLine in the best of circumstances i think they'd still get bupkiss :p

Ill try to keep up with picks every week, wont make any promises tho

WFT - Giants <BYE>
Eagles - 49ers - niners come away with the win.
Jags - Broncos - broncos should rock em
Colts - Rams - rams, when colts top targets are rbs, its not gonna hold up
Jets - Patriots - pats win. Its gonna take a lot for me to pick the jets….
Buccaneers - Falcons - buccs. Falcons are a mess

Seahawks - Titans - seahawks. Dint think titans d or o can keep up with seahawks o
Ravens - Chiefs - chiefs. Nuff said
Steelers - Raiders - ill put my faith in big ben over carr here. Could go either way
Browns - Texans - browns. I hope no one takes texans seriously this yr
Panthers - Saints - panthers, because theyre my team. Can see saints taking it tho
Dolphins - Bills - Bills better win this, could be an upset tho
Bears - Bengals - Bengals because i cant bring myself to vote for dalton at this point
Cardinals - Vikings - cards, hard to stop murray and hopkins
Chargers - Cowboys - cowboys take it. Too high octane.
Packers - Lions - GB. Rodgers was embarrassed last week. Another shit outing and the offseason took a bigger toll than we think. Pulling for rodgers here

can only be one of them, so which of those two will do better? :p

Followup: If you think Aaron Jones can get more points that Damien Harris with the Pats I can make that switch

I would personally have Jones there. It would be extremely uncharacteristic for Rodgers to have two bad games in a row.

If you think Rodgers is gonna tank again my back up pick would be Chase.

GAMEWEEK 2 PREDICTIONS, give 'em to me

Score going in:
Tschumi = 8
Nobody_Important Nobody_Important = 9
ThatStupidLion ThatStupidLion = 9

*NOTE: How about we try an honor system and count our own picks?

WFT - Giants <BYE>
Eagles - 49ers - I think the Niners are professional as hell with Jimmy G on the pitch
Jags - Broncos - Sadly, I think we're in the midst of watching Trev' Lawrence getting thumped behind a weak O Line and facing injury struggles for years.
Colts - Rams - Good coaching, good skill position players, Wentz might freak out.
Jets - Patriots - Feel bad because I like the Pats, but I think they're gonna contrive a way to lose by 1 again.
Buccaneers - Falcons - Can't go against them here.
Seahawks - Titans - Russel and co are SB-bound. Imo.
Ravens - Chiefs - Nah, can't do it, wanted to back the Ravens but that's just too nutty after last week
Steelers - Raiders - Gotta back the Steelers after last week, but dammit, underestimate Carr and co at ur peril.
Browns - Texans - I think the Browns are 'the truth' this season, top 10 team.
Panthers - Saints - Again, you can't go against them after last week, Winston should feast on his elevated skill players
Dolphins - Bills - Time for Men_in_Boxes Men_in_Boxes to feel good again
Bears - Bengals - The great thing about Burrow and the Bengals is that they've time to pass and good options for that pass, I think they'll look pretty classy in the Bear's secondary.
Cardinals - Vikings - My fantasy team hopes the Cards give up a lot of yardage to Jefferson, but Murray's the second coming of Russ' Wilson and he gon' winnit.
Chargers - Cowboys - Hardest matchup of the round to pick, shit... Chargers to win an even contest by 1 or 2.. I want to change my mind but I just dunno if McCarthy has enough upstairs to swing a tight one like this, even with Dak...
Packers - Lions - I think the Packers are nailed on to flip last week's result and keep the Lions under 10.

Anyone welcome to join in! Even lurkers!
Okay here we go.

Eagles over Niners - Hurts goes off. Devonte Smith gets his 2nd TD in a row.
Broncos over Jags - Lawrence throws 2 TDs, but has 2 turnovers.
Rams over Colts - Stafford continues to be a beast. 3TDs.
Pats over Jets - Big Mac throws 2 TDs. 1 will go to a TE.
Buccs over Birds - Matt Ryan throws 2 INTs
Titans over Seahawks - Henry goes full Fuck You mode.
Chiefs over Ravens - Mahomes throws 3 TDs. Jackson throws 2 INTs
Steelers over Raiders - Najee Harris gets 2 TDs
Browns over Texans - Mayfield gets 2 TDs
Panthers over Saints - Darnold throws 3 TDs
Bills over Lolphins - Allen plays mad. Will get 3 TDs.
Bengals over Bears - Justin Fields will play in the second half.
Cards over Vikes - Cousins throws 2 INTs
Cowboys over Chargers - Dak and Zeke both get a TD.
Packers over Lions - They either win the game or I go play in traffic.

May the devil that has possessed the purehearted douchebag that leads my Packers get exorcized. May Rodgers bless us with a game of the ages. May the Lions play like shit and smell like it as well.

I am being 100% honest when I say that I have no idea who is playing home and away. I went off a combination of my gut and last weeks performance.

I took your list and then went from there. That is why they are in the same order lol

Rofl you picked the left hand team in every matchup it's actually pretty incredible :p

In other sports the home team is first that's why i said that :p

No I just put the team I think will win on the left hand side and highlighted them to make it easier for you to count who I said would win in case I forget to count my predictions. If you look at the list not every one is in the same order as you put it.

This feels personal...
Look I can't help that Sam Darnold is the next Tom Brady.

It's his world. I just live in it.

Even though I'm cheering for The Dolphins I think the Bills are going to win today. That's why I have Allen, Beasley & their Defense on FanDuel. X will probably shadow Diggs all game long so I kept him out of my lineup. Whatever happens today I win, unless it's a 10-7 Bills win lol.

bills 14 up already. Where is everyone? The lack of love for the NFL on here is odd considering it's a mostly american forum.

I've been watching the NFL since it came to UK tv in the early 80's and I don't remember the Jets ever being all that great. I reckon they are a prime candidate to become a London team.
The Jets will never leave New York.

It would be like the Cowboys leaving Texas.

I knew it was going to be a blowout and now Tua is injured. Let the Brissett experiment begin. Dolphins are going 1-16 this season, the DL & OL are putrid.
I don't think they'll be That bad, they're going in a good direction but not long ago they WERE that bad and one does not simply git gud to the extent of consistently beating top 5 teams...

... I can't find a "one does not simply" gif without caption text

That poor boy is gonna get sacrificed to the gods of ineptitude. They stuck him in WAY too early and they game themselves no reasonable alternative.

Mac Jones at worst makes millions while living in a really nice area of the country and playing under a legendary coach in Bill Bellychecks

Now compare that life to what Zach Wilson is going through.
