Dont mind as lots of games to play across the different ecosystems, just wish Sony would give more love to PS4 games performance on PS5.

This same excuse is used every time something that an “insider” that you don’t like turns out to be correct. It’ll be pulled out the next time grubb says something that turns out to be true that you denied.

Nah....it is just a matter of recognizing that sometimes he is right and sometimes he is wrong. No idea why you consider that an "excuse". I don't need an excuse for anything. I never said he was wrong in the first place.

Hey, tell that to Xbox..... PS5 has exclusive games.

But I agree that HFW and GOW as well as GT7 should be PS5 exclusive.
Cant disagree with xbox. 0 games for their console. At least one game would have been enough. Sadly, things dont popup from the sky.

Gamepass is great. But where the fuk are the games. Its new experience. At least bring us some shit to play.

4k 60 fps is just for the rich. It doesnt change anything for gaming. Your eyes might perceive it differently, but you are still playing the same game.

Unless you have certain game features, only 4k 60 fps has. Which is nothing. All you are getting is smoother experience.

If the game is a turd, it wont change shit. It will still be a turd. 4k 60 fps wont change anthem or avengers game.

What are you smoking? Is this still 2014?

4K TVs have been the standard model for consumer TVs for years now. Almost all can do at least 60hz, many can go up to 120hz. If you're buying any new TV now it's almost a guaranteed it will be 4K.

You might as well be saying anyone who can afford a TV is 'rich', which last time I checked is what many spent their stimulus checks and corona savings on.

I dont mean rich as in money. Its more of experience.

I knew this and God of war wasn't coming out this year when they were announced. They were both classic early announments to get people to buy the consoles.

All those die hards saying 'xbox has no games we have this coming and this coming and this coming' should really take back what theyve said.

PS5 has had demon souls and rachet as system sellers. Xbox will have had Flight sim, FH5 and Halo all in 1 year plus other high profile games like Back4blood on gamepass.

Imo opinion.... Xbox will have had the better first year now.

Flight Sim, The Ascent and Death's Door literally just released and aren't on PS5.

Anyway, pretty quiet second-half of 2021 for Sony games, but there are so many 3rd party bangers coming out shortly I don't think it matters too much in the long run.

The only bad thing is that Horizon might clash with Elden Ring :messenger_hushed:

2022 will have to fight the titan that is called starfield. I will be surprised if any game can stand up to that. Skyrim ate its opponent easily. Now Imagine skyrim on space

It come out this month. Before, there was only the medium.

Then why you say 0 games? Looks your internal cache invalidation is failing.
Anyways, and to keep on subject of the thread, its a fucking couples of months. Not a tragedy. Theres plenty to play.

That is when the pc version was released.

1st party games for xbox, got released this week. That is how long Xbox hasnt released any 1st party games.

Lets not be ignorant, and defend their stupidity of not releasing any 1st party games during this period. They were lucky, that we were on a lockdown, and on a pandemic. Or else they would have been the laughing stack in the town.

From zero games to zero first party games (yeah, microsoft flight simulator is not a first party ms game!) to zero first party that are exclusive to xbox systems.
Hahaha done here, sorry going back to play air on my xbox.

Horizon Forbidden West
Hogwarts Legacy

Whelp. That's 2 of my most anticipated games pushed into 2022 right there. Not surprising, but still sucks.

On the bright side I may actually have a PS5 by the time Forbidden West actually releases.

After the shit flinging from Sony fans when the Halo delay left a gaping hole in the Xbox launch, it's hilarious that the shoe is now on the other foot and Xbox is the console to have for late 2021.

Whether Horizon had shipped or not, Xbox would have been the console to have for late 2021.

Halo is the proverbial 800lb gorilla, and if your buying a console based on hype instead of what's out there, not many of those people would be looking Aloy's way when Master Chief is walking down the street. If GT7 had still been on track, it could have stolen some of the limelight, but 2021 was always going to be the Year of Halo (so long as it finishes strong.)

However, counterpunch in the Console Wars: if it was just that the Halo delay left a gaping hole in the Xbox launch, that'd be one thing, but Halo was just the rubber stopper in the bathtub of LOLs for Xbox. Microsoft had nothing lined up for Xbox Series (or Xbox One for that matter) aside from Halo in the launch, in the weeks after launch, in the months after launch... Like, remember when Xbox fans had to give a shit about The Medium? They're dusting off their party blowers now nine months later to finally have an Xbox Series X game to brag about, and it's freaking Flight Simulator— a game most people commenting about it will never even actually play. Because it's a flight simulator. Bonus hilariousness, until FH5 hits in November, Microsoft will have released as many new games on PlayStation as it will have on its own Xbox this year (Psychonauts and Deathloop both come out before it,) and also as of now, Sony has released as many new games on Xbox (MLB The Show) as Microsoft has on Xbox this year. Pray nothing "hilarious" happens with the Halo 2021 release plan...

(*Halo missing 2021 would be tragic, not hilarious, just like Horizon FW slipping is a tragedy if you like playing good games. But we're Console War sparring here...)

Good thing is, MS is finishing strong at the end of the year, so we can put this all behind us.

Psychonauts 2 isn’t coming to the Ps5, just BC from ps4 version.

Tell me MR smart guy. Name any xbox first party games, that is being released from November 10, 2020 until june 2021. Nada.

I like Xbox. But I am not gonna defend them all the time, like a certain people do their console. I have to call out on their shit.

The only reason I give a crap about them, is their gamepass. Its a fantastic service, for people who just want to play games. People who cant afford to spend $60-$70 on games.

I am not gonna out of my way, and say is Xbox is the greatest, when they are not giving me what I want. Games from their 1st party.

Starfield is gonna be 2022. I dont know If I will i live at that time. All their future games are great, but again, I have no idea if I will survive until then. I just want something to play right now. And I havent really got it.

Right. I said PlayStation, not PS5.
We can count the number of Xbox One games MS has released this year, if you'd like? It's even easier than the Xbox Series releases...

(And we don't need to dig any, but Psychonauts isn't a stats monster, 1440p/60fps will be fine to enjoy it. (Too bad they couldn't get HDR in the past-gen versions though, those colors will pop on a good set.)

Sony had the better first half of 2021 while Microsoft will have the better second half of 2021. Sony had a great first eight months while the next eight months will be empty where as Microsoft was empty for the first eight months and now, are stacked for the next eight months. Seems pretty even to me.

Going into 2022, it will tied at 2-2 for me personally. Gears Tactics and Halo Infinite for Xbox Series X. Spider Man: Miles Morales and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart for PlayStation 5.

I’m really not that fussed who ‘wins’ late 2021 because I’m fortunate to own both PS5 and Series X, but MS fans need to tone it down a bit because once fall is over, it appears the next big game will be fall 2022 - by then Sony will have released a raft of games. Enjoy the games while they are there, but quit with the high horse act for the love of god.

Sony are going to end this year on a whimper.
To be honest, releasing big exclusive games around year-end is pretty rare for Sony. They always seem to be released in the 1st half of the year. Even if HFW was ready, releasing it in the same window as COD and Battlefield seems counter-productive. A Jan/Feb release would be ideal in my mind.

It's hard to dispute this.

Xbox and Switch are the place to be this holiday.

If you recognize that sometimes he is right and sometimes he is wrong you don't end up with the embarrassing first page ;)

I mean, you could say the same for Sony, if you weren't into spider man or demon's souls.
Neither of which you need a PS5 to play.

So up until Flight Simulator, Xbox wasn't "the place to be"?
Not really no.

It's a culmination of things though.

The Bethesda buyout, knowing franchises like Doom, Fallout, Elderscrolls, Dishonored, Wolfenstein are all now going to be exclusive to Xbox.

A nice lineup for the 2nd half of 2021, having the better looking hardware and edge in power, gamepass.

If PS5 was delivering this holiday, I'd be on board, but I just don't see Ratchet as enough of a reason to jump over. Nothing on the console seems very exciting at this point.

Haven't had a reason to touch my ps5 in months, and honestly not sure when I'll be using it next now. Just not a whole lot happening for Playstation right now. Although this delay was kind of expected, it still really sucks.

Lmao guys, what year is this? 2007?

Expecting a great number of games released in a new generation's first year out in this day and age is impossible.

Just be happy that we got some bangers that have came out on PS5, and later on this year, for the XSEX.

The first year of the PS4 and Xbox One was asinine, in comparison.
