Yeah, I remember watching some videos of Dr disrespect during his fortnite days. where people were just using the slipstream to take really cheap shots from above or far. that is a legitimate concern but overall I really haven't seen anyone bring up stuff like that. it's just the typical "neo tilted is one of the worst poi's for reasons" but it's never mentioned why though. and I'm with you on that, I like her default style far much more. the classic is alright but does look a bit like a cosplay outfit lol. and Gabrielle goth? and yeah I visited Zenith once. expecting maybe someone to drop there or late drop. was still surprised to find that it was only just me and him though. I'm assuming people land there because of his scar? only weapon I'm aware blackheart has is a primal shotgun. and I didn't kill raptor to find out what he usually carries. yup that is the synopsis or who they have revealed and appears on some of the covers and their variations. it's been mostly batman, Catwoman and Harley Quinn. Deathstroke only appeared on either issue 5 or 4 recently. but there was already a hint towards a " familiar mercenary" that was blantaly him. I'm very intrigued but hoping she is one of the last 3 cosmetics. need a Catwoman for my DC collection hero collection. I think around the time of when she was released, was when I stopped playing season 5 for a while. I guess I got burnt out on the bounties, sand tunneling, and some other things in my life was happening at the time. but I will confess, at first I was wanting to get her but tbh I'm not a huge fan of the skin. it's great if you're into the fox clan story line and drift/catalyst skins. for me personally I had to skip, even more so for llambro as well. I hated alli at first too, thought it was lynx vomiting out leftover hair ball lol. but the more i run her as well as inspect her model. She's actually grown on me alot, mind you I don't the like the clipping issues with her long hair through back blings. overall I really really enjoy this skin alot. and I'm currently level 58, just super charging my XP so I can hit 60 or 61 for tomorrow.

I think the Zenith drop is quite good cause apart from his weapon there are roughly 7 chest spawns in that small spot, with two fairly visible from the get go. It's also a fairly decent rotation (Camp Cod if you wanna stay away or Catty > Retail > etc.) + Zenith will show you the future storm circle for ~250 gold and you can easily get back 120 gold by picking the "Destroy a radar dish" quest and shoot the one on the weather station down.

Depending on the flight path you can land there fairly quickly too since it's elevated ground.

Oh yea when Catwoman came back I paid a bit more to complete the bundle so I have those oversized grappling hook pickaxes but really the main target was her emote lol.

Ah it's fine, I'm not into the Fox/Kitsune clan story at all but Vi is my favourite of the lot and it was a very timely crew pack for me as I explained earlier

Yea I think Alli's hair definitely grows on you LOL. Frankly wish they'd given her a similar suited up style like Lynx, that would go a long way to up her desirability. Still, I'd say as a skin she's ahead of Green Arrow and Llambro.

Today I learnt the damn raptors can open doors like in Jurassic Park and today they learnt that it's not my first rodeo at that stupid gas station.I've accidentally blown myself up there last season at the start of a match.

Nothing says irony like making fresh fossils with fossil fuel.

I never really tried it. And ah I see lol, I was a bit confused by it but I kinda understand lol. and yeah it's a good place to drop. lately though quite a few players have been landing there in solo so I stopped going there. besides I can land at camp cod, destroy all the compact cars for quite a bit of mechanical parts. upgrade any weapon along with getting Bunker chest spawned. there is plenty of wood and metal materials for mats. Jules can give some easy gold based quests to craft weapons or find crafting materials. it's imo a decent spot to land at and get decently equipped for the later parts of the match. back when she released, I only had enough to buy the caped crusader music, the bat signal emote, catwomans whip crack emote, the harley hitter and punchline pixaxes for harley's set. after that I didn't have much to buy Catwoman herself, her pickaxes or the batwing glider. Which sucks, because I do like having the full set to something. but eh Nothing much I can do about it. she's a good skin, just something I'm not really keen or see myself running alot in game. I have vix so im use to the "lynx" triplets, but I actually agree with you I wish she had some alternate styles like her sister. I examined the loading screen and she seems to have some strange armor on her shoulders. that and a tail, yet they aren't present on the skin itself.

Nope sadly, I only had enough money to purchase the dark knight pack, and could only buy 2,000 V bucks. what I had was used to purchase the cheapest item of each bundle. but let's put it this way, if they do come back I can finish buying off the reduced price bundles of catwoman and the batman gear. besides we potentially could get a better designed catwoman so there's maybe that. I only got the harley hitter because again I love the suicide squad interpretation of harley and I liked her bat in the movie. plus I had to complete her set as if I'm given the opportunity or time necessary I'll buy that characters whole set. vix Is my favorite, I get people hate on her because she comes off as dollar general lynx. however I enjoy the design of her suit and the built in emote that can swap between her styles. not a fan of her hood down style but it's an option so not complaining. thing is wish she came with a glider, for Alli and her I've been using the fish skeleton glider. yeah I'd figure they decided against it because she already has enough Going on as it is. adding those big bulky things would cause some problems ADS.

I think it's distinct enough from Tilted in that the Spire itself is indestructible which means there's almost always someone abusing that height disparity. Tilted was a lot of tall buildings that could all be leveled in due time.

Speaking of throwbacks, there's a piece of Sunny Steps in Camp Cod, in the Western-most shack.

Compact Cars is hit and miss IMO, poor rotation choices once you're done getting the mechanical pieces and like you experienced, some people rush that place for it. I'd rather just buy 8 of them from Cole or Jules.

The biggest issue is the boots themselves, they're simply not worth the risk, effort and precious item slot required to acquire and use.
Second biggest issue IMO is how janky the sphere-pickup is. Can you imagine Epic making a basketball game with these physics and interactions? Lolololol.

To put it in simple memey terms, Shockwave Bow is the guy the Spire Assassin told the Boots not to worry about.

I'm not gonna overthink this one: simplest explanation would be the Zero Point and its melding of realities and timelines together, with little bits slipping through here and there. Ultimately it's a nice bit of fanservice for those of us who liked the various details of Chapter 1. Don't think I've seen any of the Neo Tilted or Mega Mall stuff mixed back in yet though.

Hmm, i wouldn't recommend Compact Cars in TR unless you really want Mechanical Parts. I say that because chests in TR have a 100% spawn rate and that landmark has like what, 4 chests in total IIRC? Not really worth it. If anything I'd recommend dropping on the zip line tower facing Dirty Docks (3 chests), glide to Lake Canoe (5 chests or so), then glide to Compact Cars for the remainder.

And when you leave Compact Cars, if you follow the road towards the Northeast, there's a bounty board you can activate for virtually guaranteed gold since most people will die at least once in TR.

I'm more a fan of canines myself so it's a shame that most of those skins aren't really to my taste (Doggo, Fennix). Catastrophe did come back once or twice in Chapter 2, but apparently she isn't popular enough to warrant more frequent returns

You're in good company actually; Ailynn and I are two examples of people who didn't start off loving the game but got won over after a period.

And yea I can kinda empathise with not being able to get your hands on some of the BP-exclusive stuff, I only got the BP from C1S5 onwards so I missed out on a few things I'd like from before.

Still, Epic has done a good job of walking the fine line between keeping the BP stuff exclusive while still offering decent, sometimes better variants later on either in the shop or future BPs.

And at some point, after you've flooded your locker with more awesome cosmetics than you can practically play in any session, that desire/jealousy will just be a tiny voice in the back of your head. The majority of my favourite cosmetics are from the item shop, not that I don't favourite any of the BP stuff.

Damn, that explains why Bushranger got yet another style (take that Fishstick!). My very first thought when seeing the BB pendant in the shop was "Brie Bushson" lolol, now I know.

And as much as I'd like to name favourites, I don't think I can narrow it down to just one per category so I'll save myself the trouble.

Anyway, with the new update, I'm really happy to finally get Tarana's indigo style, though I wonder who the hell decided to have her paint a dot on the tip of her nose. It's so irksome especially with her default, no-helmet look.

Chonkers tires are really neat, besides modding vehicles, you can toss them on the ground and have them become like a regular tyre stack that you can bounce off of.

And much like regular tires on vehicles, you can destroy the attached Chonkers tires one by one. The good news is unlike before, your vehicle is no longer 'crippled' if a tire or two is taken out; you can simply toss new Chonkers at them and you'll get a fresh set of tires.

In other news, Slurp Mushrooms are back and unlike last season you can consume them for health while your shield is full. Previously you had to keep your shield below 100 if you wanted to stack Slurpshrooms for healing health. Same change applies to coconuts.

And that's not all that came back. Sharks have returned (ugh) but unlike before, they now take storm damage.


Personally the change I'm happiest to see is arrow speed being increased. Something's very wrong when I had so much difficulty hitting point blank headshots on a DBNO enemy because the shot needs to be led when he's strafe-crawling.

The damage increase might be a bit much; I think I did 200 dmg with a Mechanical Bow headshot recently and I'm not sure I agree with (Mechanical) bows essentially being snipers in disguise now, except they don't give their position away aurally as much as snipers did.

4th issue of the batman/fortnite: zero point comic will contain the bonus download code for deathstroke's glider! not 100% confirming he's coming to the game as a skin but imo it would be pretty pointless to make a pickaxe for a newly designed catwoman and glider for a character who's not coming yet. here's a better look at what could be his design for the future.

I have no idea lol. It was so bizarre to see it still standing and with the loot chest untouched too! and yeah we best not think of too much after all nothing makes sense in the world of fortnite. and eh I stopped going there, now I'm going after the known Bunker chests to my knowledge. there is one that sometimes spawn underneath a set of stairs in slurp swamp next to Chuggus. the one or two that spawn before a hill at Stealthy Stronghold, or the one I usually go after is at the bottom of a floor in the basement of the house at camp cod. either way I get decent loot from those. epic or legendary scar, epic or legendary rocket launcher, or epic and legendary P90's. with a couple of minis or big pots, it's funny because hardly anyone goes after them when I do. they usually just land at other places for loot that to me isn't really worth it once you get a Bunker chest loot. I like doggo, shame I had to kill him several times during season 5 in pleasant park. but he was in my way when someone was hunting me multiple times. though I did hire him once or twice as a distraction lol. and that's how the cookie crumbles when it comes to less frequently used skins. they usually don't come back until. a bunch of people beg enough for it come back. I haven't seen so many people beg for Travis scott that it's like one huge wall of people begging for or asking where that set is. I have no idea lol. It was so bizarre to see it still standing and with the loot chest untouched too! and yeah we best not think of too much after all nothing makes sense in the world of fortnite. and eh I stopped going there, now I'm going after the known Bunker chests to my knowledge. there is one that sometimes spawn underneath a set of stairs in slurp swamp next to Chuggus. the one or two that spawn before a hill at Stealthy Stronghold, or the one I usually go after is at the bottom of a floor in the basement of the house at camp cod. either way I get decent loot from those. epic or legendary scar, epic or legendary rocket launcher, or epic and legendary P90's. with a couple of minis or big pots, it's funny because hardly anyone goes after them when I do. they usually just land at other places for loot that to me isn't really worth it once you get a Bunker chest loot. I like doggo, shame I had to kill him several times during season 5 in pleasant park. but he was in my way when someone was hunting me multiple times. though I did hire him once or twice as a distraction lol. and that's how the cookie crumbles when it comes to less frequently used skins. they usually don't come back until. a bunch of people beg enough for it come back. I haven't seen so many people beg for Travis scott that it's like one huge wall of people begging for or asking where that set is. Ah I know the first BC you're talking about, it's in Shanty Town. Didn't know about the ones near Stronghold though! If you're talking about Team Rumble then it makes sense for others to go to places where they can open as many chests as possible, hence not really going for Epic/Legendary loot.

Ugh NPCs can be a real pain at times. My Stage Slayer was pickaxing a vehicle that I was filling up with gas.

I don't think Epic is even really listening to requests for MIA skins, the only time they sort of do is for locker bundles (eg. squatingdog picking Hot Ride as the glider).

Bunker chests kinda help eliminate all of the tedious work in getting good weapons imo. oh wow really? I knew NPCs were kinda irritating but that right there is wow lol. sometimes they are good for distracting other players when you hire them. alot of the time though they give away your position because they instantly home in on threats. and yup, have over 3,410 V bucks saved up, seeing as we aren't getting deathstroke or the new Catwoman in the comic rewards. here is hoping they are V buck item shop skins fingers crossed!

Floodnite is still my favourite iteration of C2's island so it's a shame that it didn't last more than half of that season.

Feels like they were experimenting with roaming enemy AI since then, starting with Marauders and has culminated in what we have now with the somewhat sparse wildlife.

I don't have a major preference out of those four possible weapons because primal versions of the SMG and ARs are extremely viable and I personally prefer makeshift shotguns over the other two. Rocket Launcher is great but ammo is hard to come by and I'd rather just have an Explosive Bow instead.

In my biased opinion, FNBR is a genuine fluke in terms of its success, both monetarily and from a gameplay perspective. I'm really glad it happened but man, Epic almost crashed with FN STW; 7 years in the making, partnering with Tencent to teach them the art of monetization and grindy milestones enough to surpass Warframe yet the game got squashed in no time by FNBR. This isn't even a multiplayer vs single player thing, STW was supposed to be this cooperative game and they were intending to later add PVP where groups of players would build elaborate forts to fight one another. Your trap in the previous OT is basically what Epic envisioned for STW PVP, but everyone can see what actually took off.

Look at all the othe games Epic has been trying to get off the ground. Battle Breakers? Spyjinx? Lol. They lucked out with Fortnite and thankfully Sweeney is smart enough of a businessman to invest that vbucks money in the right places, cause in terms of churning out hits Epic has lost that Midas touch a long time ago.

Feels like vehicles are top-heavy so instead of being more grounded they tend to bounce around if you aren't careful when driving over bumps.

At most Catwoman or the new one would be 1500 V bucks. hopefully I'd only have enough to afford her and deathstroke if not the bundle which I'm sure they'd make such as him and his pickaxes. give me those two and I'd never use any other marvel skin ever again, unless it's spiderman or doctor strange lol. The batman zero bundle was decrypted this morning. and is confirmed to be releasing on May 5th. personally I'll be buying only the skin seeing as we get the glider and pickaxe in comics. for those wondering this is not the batman skin you get for collecting all 6 issues. apparently a armored version is completely different from this one according to alia.

Till now I still can't jive with the Primal Shotgun, its poor range and reload time sour me on it. I don't like point blank combat ranges in this game due to the super low FOV, so any shotgun that's effective at one square's range is more my thing. Primal Rifle is good because of its firing rate, its not as pinpoint accurate as the Scar but it functions as a pseudo SMG within the same range and the damage output is very high if you get the jump on the enemy.

Gray Makeshift Rifle before recent buffs was an utter nightmare: no FSA and I was hitting roughly 1/8 bullets at 30-35m or so. Swore off that gray shit ever since.

Yea I had a little army of wildlife with a squad many weeks ago, it was funny as my team laid suppressive fire while I moved forward with a bunch of AI nuisances. It's just very goofy, which IMO has always been Fortnite's appeal for casuals like me.

Yea I'm eager to see what a new Catwoman skin would look like, though I'm perfectly happy cosplay Rio lol. Bat-Jonesy was always trash tier

Man, the best I've done with Chonky vehicles is bumping enemies into the air, not sure I have the mental fortitude to keep attempting squishes haha.

Also, I vaguely remembered so I googled to confirm: Midtown Madness was that Microsoft monster truck game! I never did play those games but I remember MM game me the impression that Microsoft was 'loosening up'. Before that and Age of Empires, the only commercial game I associated with MS was Flight Simulator.

And if we're talking a FFA vehicular combat game, Carmageddon (the very first one) was soooo up my alley. Crushing polygonal pedestrians never felt the same vs sprites somehow.

Tilted Taxis was sort of heading in that direction but being able to get out and build kind of messed everything up IMO. Maybe a dedicated Chonker Squad mode, 1 driver, 3 gun buddies, 25 vehicles driving around in a roaming circle could be fun, basically like Air Royale but ground based. Fortnite's even got the Mad Max-esque skins ingame already.

And maybe only the driver can alight and has to pick up and deposit weapons & items into the vehicle for the others to use, though I'm just dreaming here; it's too complicated for Epic to implement when even basic functions are bugged out at the moment.

Originally you could hold a stack of 10 nades per slot at the start of Chapter 2 (and I believe most of Chapter 1) but since Epic severely trimmed the loot pool in the new Chapter, people got creative with grenade usage and as a balancing measure the stack got reduced to 6 each.

Edit: The lean loot pool meant that finding nades was a very common occurrence, so the stack size got reduced to prevent coordinated nade spam.
