I assume that achievements and trophies would have to start matching for these games that opt in but yeah if a publisher decides to have platform exclusive trophies/achievements. Fuck that alongside exclusive dlc.

Xcloud would mean Switch would suddenly be full of XB1/PS4, and even XSX/PS5 level 3rd party games, graphics wise. Well whatever ones are on Xcloud.
It would be like bringing Switch up to current gen standards without a hardware refresh.
Pretty interesting really.

Not sure that’s true. MS would get instant access to a massive install base that the Xbox platform can’t match right now. And that’s what GP needs. As many subs on as many platforms as possible. Nintendo would likely see a small boost in hardware sales from Xbox fans who want to play their games on the go and get a lump sum from MS to allow a GP app in the store. I’ve said GP is a bad idea quite often here because of the apparent economics but this seems like it could be an incredibly smart and mutually beneficial move. I’d love to see it.

I uh, also wouldn’t mind seeing Zelda on the SX in 4k60 ...

But right now Nintendo is 100% dependent on the Nintendo games success.
Getting Game Pass via Xcloud would make Nintendo less dependant and thrid party success will help the hardware.

It's a smart move for Nintendo if the financials are right.

Oled Switch with Game Pass would be the best machine Nintendo have ever released. Issue is if it’s cloud streaming Halo and Gears would be pretty unplayable online.

Going from my Xbox downstairs to my Switch in bed with Xbox’s cloud save infrastructure would be seamless. I also think this would see a huge jump in subscriptions for MS.
