Takes 2 seconds to cancel... better to write off the sunk cost and avoid undermining your entire brand.

I have already bought 2 PS5's despite the supply situation, I am one of the most hardcore PS fans and buy their exclusives as CE's on launch without fail..... this is insulting to me and I won't be supporting launches anymore.

First one I wont support is Returnal.... NO BUY!

AND I'll be pushing others not to buy too to send a message.

Just the way the industry is heading i guess, best of luck to you, dont hold out on games you want to really play though, if you really dont want to support them you could always buy second hand and still play it!

Nintendo says hi, and are being more successful than sony and MS because of it. The Switch is outselling both new consoles, and have some of the highest game sales ever when regarding exclusives

Majority of people that own Sony consoles won't be playing Sony games on PC. As long as Sony keeps making great games that should matter regardless. Like seriously what do you get out of saying shit like this lol.

Jim Ryan is incompetent at his job, he has no clue what made PS successful cause he was head of Europe where there was no competition for PS.

He is a clown and by the end of the generation he will have damaged the brand quite substantially.
the funny thing is that we can see how this strategy of porting games to PC hasnt worked for Microsoft. Their console sales all but crashed once they announced their games were coming to PC and never recovered. They sold something like 40 million consoles in the first 4 years and then only 10 million the last three.

The damage is already done. They have treated their console base with contempt after refusing to do a 60 fps patch for Horizon while investing god knows how many millions porting Horizon to PC. They will sell millions for now but i just dont see many hardcore gamers sticking by them. Most of us already upgrade to PCs, now we will have zero incentive to buy a Pro or keep our PS5 and invest in the eco system. Ive already decided not to buy games digitally. If I can play Horizon at 120 fps on my PC, why would i play it at 30 fps on my ps5?

This isn't the same situation like Xbox where new games release simultaneously on PC and Xbox.

Some here are trying to make a bigger deal out of this than what it really is: year old PS4 exclusives finally coming to PC.
HZD released in February 2017, PC announced 3+ years later June/July 2020.

DG released in April 2019, PC announced February 2021. 22 months later.

if you’re old and busy like me no harm in allowing PS fanbois to beta test single player story driven games and then get the definitive version 2 years later.

Indeed, the industry is going more and more multiplatfrom and that's a good thing. Unless amazon, apple and facebook buy a third of the industry each and put it behind subscriptions. That's a different story though.

Actually the same.
Not all PS games will come to PC.

"releasing one first-party AAA title to PC doesn’t necessarily mean that every game now will come to PC"

They choose another old game to come... who will be next maybe in 2022?

And just to be sure... Days Gone coming to PC heavy hints they are working in Days Gone 2 PS5.
Days Gone 2 will be available on PS5 and...PC.

Those games still look crazy on PS5 so it didn't lose it's value to me. They are free with PS plus anyway.

So funny watching PCMR call Sony games "cinematic garbage" and then they are salivating everywhere when they are announced and they sell millions as soon as they come out lol.

They will see what they missed with their dumb platform war. Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, Bloodborne and Days Gone. All masterpieces.

Releasing all the old stuff on PC for extra sales after they're "spent" while keeping the new shiny stuff for 80 euros on PS5. Say what you will about Sony, but they sure know how to make money.
I'm curious to see how far they will go with this.

If it's choice PS4 exclusives over the course of a few years, it's a good plan all around to make up some extra cash and spread awareness of the IPs outside of the PlayStation ecosystem.

If they start mass-releasing their PS4 catalogue on PC as quickly as possible, and then start porting PS5 games with the console still in the middle of its life cycle, then they're willing to weaken the PlayStation brand in the long run for easy money now, which sounds like a dumb strategy in my opinion.

These topic are always great. You have people freaking out about the games coming to PC and then you have others who think every title (and new titles at that) will be coming to PC next.

Maybe they will announce Knack for PC. That would be another great topic.

No ones salivating, just amused seeing the whole selling point of Sony having exclusives you cant play anywhere else being blown up.

Nintendo does well, but they are an outlier, it works well for them, but the industry is heading in a subscription based direction with multiplats and streaming.

Holy shit YESSSSS. Figures they waited until I finally caved and bought Days Gone for PS4 to announce this, but fucking WONDERFUL news! Well, as long as the Monkey's Paw doesn't curl and the games land exclusively on EGS or anything bad like that....but what are the chances of that? RIght guys? Right?.......

As a diehard Sony fan i think it's really cool that more Sony games are coming to other platforms. I sincerely hope Bloodborne will join the party soon. It drastically increases the chances of a remaster for PS5 and possibly a sequel
I'm a Sony fan myself, but more so a PC fan over all. I appreciate you saying that a great deal considering there are also diehard Sony fans throwing shit fits about Sony titles coming to PC. Why? I have no clue. Personally, like you, I think it's a great win for Sony, and it's awesome that a larger pool of folks will be able to experience incredible games. Assuming the ports will be amazing as well, lol.

Great news, PC Gaming is dire right now so this might temporarily instil some life in it.

Another game ala HZD & Death Stranding that is suddenly good now that it's on PC too.
Horizon Zero Dawn was and still is average at best. Death Stranding is GOTY of 2019 and 2020. Amazing game made even better thanks to smooth framerate and easy menu navigation with mouse and keyboard.

PC gaming dire. :messenger_grinning_sweat:

Honestly I don't see how because there exclusives is what sells their consoles. Right now they are selling PS5 at a loss. Software and Services is the most profitable area for them and this is where they will expand.

Bringing console exclusives to PC is just a dumb idea. It kills incentive to buy a machine. Not a good idea.
I don't believe it's truth tho, because many people choose convenience of consoles. Me included and I am rocking RTX3090
(As a work card and while not doing ML, it nets me 50USD profit per day on nicehash.com :messenger_savoring: )

They're never going to confirm all games are coming to PC because that wya they can do a staggered release.

Of course Sony want you to buy their games in the ecosystem where they don't have to hand over 30 per cent.

But you'd be mad not to think this is going to get way more common, and with less of a delay. This, by the way, is entirely a good thing.

In 15 years time, you'll be able to play Days Gone easily and cheaply regardless of what happens to the PlayStation brand between now and then. Walling off all this content entirely might seem like a bragging point today, but it's absolutely not.

Weak bait, sony exclusives aren't unpolished turds like Cyberpunk.

But have fun with old games PS fans already played and finished years ago boomer. If I was a PC only fanboy I too would be ecstatic with this news to finally play good single player games.

I thought Sony had carved out a nice business with the PS4. I’m hopeful GT7 can be a multi platform release when it drops in 2023. Then I won’t need a PS5 to mod Hondas and Chevys for weeks on end.

Well......have you seen their sales and how their console is outselling brand new ones especially that are more powerful and how much their exclusives actually sell? They are killing the competition whilst holding onto their traditional values as well. They dont need PC gaming, and Sony honestly doesnt either, only MS does because their games are mediocre and dont sell well so they are trying to cash in elsewhere. They are just doing it to make a quick buck to show quick profit when this could just hurt them more in the long run, much like how it probably will hurt Sony eventually as well.
