What games were you best at?

It can be Single Player or Multiplayer.

I want you to name a game that you personally feel you are really good at it. It can be any genre. I've always felt that I'm really good at FPS games, I just had a knack for them I suppose. Even as a 'newbie' I picked it up much faster than my friends I played online with. Without tooting my own horn, I typically always carried my real life friends back when I was in School. That is partly because I absolutely no lifed the games, learned the maps, the guns and got really damn good at it. My reaction time has slowed a bit these days, but I can still load in to Call of Duty and more often than not end up at the top of the lobby.

I would say I was the best at Call of Duty 4.

I know this because I used to get messages calling me a cheater/hacker quite a lot. I would also occasionally get friend requests or asked if I wanted to party up, which was always fun. Met some great people. It was rare for me to not do well in a match. I played Halo 3 before I played COD, and I just seemed to pick it up so quickly. I was never that great at Halo honestly, but fast-paced style suited me more.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
They kicked me once from a CS:GO match because the thought I was cheating, but I wasn't. :lollipop_content:

I'm an average player tho, I'm capable of owning some friends in Mario Kart and Mario Party, but that's it.

Soul Calibur II. I went to tournaments in other states and played probably 20,000 hours.
On the flipside, fighting games are my weakest genre. I suck at them. :messenger_smiling_with_eyes:

I'm very much a 'mash all the buttons' type of guy, and hope something comes out of it. The worst person to play against. The only fighting game I ever felt 'decent' at was Def Jam: Fight for NY. I actually took some time to learn it for a change.

I want to mention Uncharted: The Nathan Drake collection too. I managed to beat all the games on Brutal difficulty, which wasn't easy. I spent so much time playing those games, learning the mechanics, speedrunning for trophies that I got quite good at it. I replayed so many sections that many times that it is basically engrained in my brain now.

I still remember some things, and I could run through the games quite easily now.

FPS games. It bring out my competitive side and reaction time. Only fps games can put me in a state of "flow" similar to when playing a sport, and I love that about them.

In Black Ops 1 I had a K/d of 3.5. No other CoD did I come close to that.

The Gears of War series I was pretty good at.
Black Ops was great. I was pretty good at the first and second ones, not so good at the newest ones. I couldn't get on with the jetpacks and hated those character specialists they added in to the game.

I was pretty bad at Gears of War when I had an Xbox. Never could get a handle on it.

For multiplayer it was Halo 2. That was basically our (Army) unit's game during one of our Iraq deployments. I was an IT guy and "borrowed" aswitch to LAN everyone's XBox together and go at it during downtime. Eventually brought in quite a few guys from other units as well. Everyone competed for second place because first place was always mine.

For single player it'd have to be the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy on NES. Could beat them back to back to back without dying fairly quickly. If speedrunning was a thing at the time I definitely would've been competitive on those games. Not anymore though. I still remember maps, enemy positions, ninja arts, etc. but not the timing and can't be assed to practice when I now own much more than those 3 games :D

Well I am pretty good at games that require patience and take my time to build up these days.
Not really good at any fighting games, nor fps games or any shoot them ups either. Action games, I do alright, but nothing to shout about in any competitive level. Just barely average, I think.

If anything, I put at least about 500 hours into Tetris DX on marathon mode without going into game over. I played it about 30min - 1 hr a day, for about almost 2 years. It was only game I was playing on my GBA SP for very long time. I can't even remember what the score was by then. Only thing was that I had to remember to keep it charged, so that it won't die on me. It wasn't really difficult per se, but I regret that I didn't take a shot of it when I finally decided to end the game TBH.

Gran Turismo 3: A-spec

I was leading the World Tournament(online championship, you had to upload your game replay save file using Action Replay to verify your results) after 2 races, but unfortunately it got cancelled after 9/11 happened.

I know what you mean. I get an adrenaline rush when I play Call of Duty. I honestly have to remind myself it's just a game sometimes, especially in the Battle Royale. My heart races like crazy when there is only like two people left. I love that feeling, though.

Every time I think I'm getting really good at a "difficult" game, I go watch some kids play it on youtube and I know I'm shit right away.

I know my squad really likes it when I join in Ghost of Tsushima: Legends Nightmare

Maybe not 'best', but I still think I'm pretty good at most racing games. At least I usually end up higher on leaderboards than my PSN buddies (not counting Driveclub elite drivers from GAF ;)).

Day Of Defeat, OG, not Source.

Played it a ton as a teenager. Was in different clans, top of the ESL. Being banned on a lot of public servers for having stats like 80:2. For then to realize that playing 6 and more hours per day wasn't better than going on parties and having girls. Which was the end of my pro gaming career. Was a good choice.

For me it's still rhythm games i may have gotten older but my reactions in this genre of games still seems to be pretty good while i'm no expert i can play a lot of them in hard mode or above, i seem to pick them up really easy. Taiko, DDR, sound voltex, jubeat, dance rush, project diva, dance evolution.

i was a good medic back when i was playing tf2, it was the most satisfying multiplayer experience i have ever had.
Good to see a Medic buddy!

Same. I was always a great Battlefield Medic. I was basically like Hacksaw Ridge, always making sure my squad kept in the fight.

I enjoyed playing Driveclub so much I ended up being pretty good by accident really.I don't usually play online but I wanted to keep playing after doing all the offline stuff so I tried it out and because I'd learnt all the tracks so well I could win races and time trials all the time, only online game I've ever won anything at,lol.

I was an absolute savage at Starsiege: Tribes

I maintain that if bender bender ever wants to Fuck Around, he will indeed Find Out.

Those were my younger days, of course. Currently I am shit at everything...and loving it!

Pretty much any FPS or racing game I put time into.

I was in the top 100 players world wide for piloting in BFV as well, good times.

I was really good at multiplayer in Resistance: Fall of Man. The game just “clicked” with me like no other competitive game has since. Still wish there were more arena shooters around.

NES track and field, I recall going to a party with family friends and this host house kid was wrecking all the other kids gathered taking turns in running events using none other than the NES Advantage stick with turbo buttons.

Fuck that kid, wrecked him back with the ol' two finger double tap on a standard controller he was dishing out to player two. After he lost the first time to me he refused to give up his controller by the usual winner stays on rules and claimed I was cheating to demand a rematch. Boom, left in the dust yet again. Kid didn't play the rest of the day.

Glorious gaming moment, I was a gaming god for a day.

Quake 1. I used to suicide my self 10 to 20 times as soon as the deathmatch started and then came back and still won in first frag to 50 matches.

I talked a lot of shit to get everyone to focus on me which lead to a lot of bodies being close together for several frags at once with a rocket launcher with quad damage.

They never grasped the concept that they were falling right into my trap. I was really good with timing the grenade launcher off of walls as well.

Now? I'm an old fucker that doesn't even have the time or patience for the single player Dark Souls series.
