She was good in Lost Legacy. It makes sense now.I hated how Nadine was overpower to the point that it was ridiculous to see her taking on two men of larger stature than her.
Her character was badly written in UC4, yet somehow I somehow come to like her in Lost Legacy.

Alright, sadly, cancelled my order from Amazon, spend the past 30 minutes reading about it from websites and not just potential leaks and yeah, fuck that. Abby might be a great character for all I know, but no thanks. The trailers also seem to bait and switch with Joel being replaced with the Asian dude? First game is a top 10 all time for me, not ruining myself with the second game until they add multiplayer, and it's cheap or on PS+. Knowing all this shit already upsets me tbh, whatever happened to The Last of Us is Joel and Ellie's story, we wouldn't do a part 2 unless there was something to build upon there. That was bullshit.

The difference between male and female characters attractiveness in this game is staggering:
Male - Joel still is pretty hot for an older guy, Owen is a hottie, Manny is pretty good looking, only Tommy isn't really that attractive
Female - Ellie aged terribly compared to the model from the first game, won't even comment on Abby, Dina has a huge nose and an unattractive body, Mel and Yara are ugly, Lev - I don't even know if that's a she or a he
And I'm supposed to believe that Owen wants to bang both Abby and Mel?

I think her being trans is a "joke" when in reality she's just a beef cake of a woman, for whatever reason. I say that because to my understanding nothing at all refers to her being trans in the game or out. People swear it's true, but I don't see it nor have I seen glaring proof. As far as I know, no. The whole thing with Lily/Lev sounds like the child recently decided that she wanted to be a boy, and that was really it.

This story sounds amazingly realistic and prophetic: even in the apocalypse, a certain ideology will still make it all about themselves and their struggles. True survival horror masterpieces are usually rooted in the player's fears, so this was a smart move by Druckmann, to show the contemporary gamer that the true terror of humanity isn't infectious diseases beyond our control, but infectious ideologies that push us to behave in destructive and insane ways.

Regarding the whole Alanah Pearce situation, that's unfortunate.
I thought she was very level-headed during her TLoU2 stream.
Mind you, I haven't played the game. But Alanah was able to articulate a nagging feeling I've had ever since I watched the leaked footage and that only grew stronger as I was going though several live streams:
There's no real connection, chemistry between Ellie and Dina. There's no real couple dynamics. You may want to write that off, saying it's just a fling and Dina is available and willing in an otherwise harsh world and that it didn't have to be anything deeper than a fling.
I say if that's one of the central beats of the story, it better be something deeper than a fling.

I'm all for diversity and shit but this is just ridiculous and is getting extremely tiresome. The game has to shove it in your face over and over and over. A rainbow crosswalk, two rainbow flags hanging not fifty feet away, one lesbian main character, one bi supporting, one trans, an extremely androgynous antagonist, a sex scene with her, a sex scene with Ellie and Dina, the Dr. Uckman superhero card that's"fighting for equality" (and classifies Druckmann as a "villain".....yea Neil, you're such a martyr for progressivism you pretentious condescending twat), and not to forget......."Bigot sandwiches". I think that about sums up the first.........five hours that I've seen?

you just know a decent gameplay style (because TLOU does have it's own style compared to others in my opinion) is gonna go down with the ship due to the ass story/backlash. honestly i can't see there being another TLOU 3, and I'm hoping like fuck the MP game actually still comes out

It's sad to see so many people in other threads calling us haters, Xbox fanboys and alt-right. Most of us in this thread loved TLOU, the themes that game explored and the characters. This game shit on all of the former. The game kills the best character in the first game like he means nothing, just to be dark, the story makes no sense, the characters behave like idiots, the game pushes SJW rhetoric in our faces and then pretends to educate us and preach to us. The sad part is that Naughty Dog and Druckmann will win in the end, the game will sell like hotcakes, win GOTY and worse of all it will break the "go woke go broke" mantra. If there's not enough push-back expect next gen to be full of games with non-binary POC women of color as main characters fighting against the Patriarchy and white people just to satisfy the Twitter mob. And if you think I'm wrong just remember back to when Jedi Fallen Order was announced, right away the woke crowd criticized the game just because the main character was white and nothing else. And this opinion is coming from a Latino, not a white person.
I mean I truly hope the people in the OT are loving and enjoying the game, that's great for them. I just hope they're loving the game because it's amazing in their eyes and not because the game is an exclusive on their favorite piece of plastic. Watched the entire story... yeah. It confirmed my worst fears that I mentioned earlier in the thread when things first started to leak. I don't understand why there's such a huge double standard with this game and if people just like it because they mask it with good cutscene direction, but it doesn't change how it feels like there's a huge awful disconnect between the first game and this. On the bright side, since TLOU is a standalone experience, I can just think of this sequel as a fanfiction.

I'm about six hours in but I've visibly cringed at least 3-4 times during dialogue and even my wife watched me play for about half an hour and was chuckling at some of the dialogue.
That is so sad since TLOU 1 really didn't have these issues.
I haven't gotten far enough yet where it becomes clear we've been duped by ND about Joel's role in this game but I will say that once I'm actually there, I think my annoyance and frustration at the bait-and-switch will be more intense than now. Actually partaking in those moments will be worse than just reading about them.
