That thread is going to be wild. It's already on my watchlist.

I've already decided to not log in for a week minimum while I finish the game, the REEEE going into this weekend is going to be fucking nuts with everyone in quarantine who's gonna blow through this game in a couple days.

Immagine a throbbing O prompt that you have to hold while slowingly penetrating a dry tranny asshole, then you hear a nice satisfying hapting feedback "pop", letting you know that you are in and it's time to go buckwild with the waggle!

A truly immersive masterpice.

But did he give Abby a reach around? We're not asking the right questions here people lol. In the words of the great Sgt. Hartman "I bet you're the kind of guy who would fuck a person in the ass and not have the goddamn common courtesy to give him a reach around"

That's an optional R2 prompt you can pump while doing the waggle, in the ps5 version it's going to get updated with Sony's variable trigger resistence tech in order to let the players feel the tension building in the scene.

Ya know what pisses me off about this game, and the fact that it's still going to sell well and be discussed. It's NOT just a simple matter of it being this:

stop_liking_file.jpg

It's NOT this. It's the fact that the game is shit, and a lot of smart people know it's shit. However it'll sell millions of copies purely because it's a sequel to a pretty good game that did deserve to sell well.

When shit games sell well, it makes me mad and upset because there are so many more better games that are worth people's money that don't sell nearly as much as they should. Then we got this bull shit coming along, because it's backed by marketing and sony money, but made by a complete fucking moron. It's just not right. So many damn good games just barely manage to make it by, or don't sell well at all...and this piece of shit is gonna sell so much, and leave so many people pissed off.

When shitty games sell well, it also pushes the industry in a certain direction. It's basically saying "these games are worth making" to the publishers, and they don't put their money behind better games, and people with more talent than this clown.

Welcome to gaming since it's inception. People buying large overbudgeted AAA games, this website included, is why were in the state we're in. Especially since casuals quit buying consoles and the ones left are playing F2P subscription garbage. Since it's changing the reality is it's better to drop out now because gaming's changed forever and it's only going to get worse.

Then again, people have been saying this since the PS360 days so I'm not even sure if this points valid anymore, "games by gamers for gamers" is LONG dead.

You're right, but I don't think I could drop out completely. Games I like a lot still occasionally get made, just often not given their due in the west. For example, Dragon Quest XI was one of the best games of that year I played, and it's still just a obscure franchise in the west. It made me so happy when I first visited Japan, and I saw Slimes from Dragon Quest all over the place. I felt like I was finally home. Bought so many Slime plushies to take home, lol.

But yeah, I've really kinda given up on AAA games with very few exceptions. Sony still makes big story driven games, but they mostly are just not my vibe. I still haven't been able to bring myself to play the last God of War because I'm so tired of the "angry man" (or in this game's case, the angry ma'am) gameplay.

My mate said TLOU facebook is on fire but I can;t find anything. Fake news?

The official page is no different than before loads of hype and few bad comments no one outright spoiling the game witch i find odd. Your friend could talking about one of the many private groups though these not official pages, can't comment on them as im not in any of them.

I was just looking at the TLOU2 trending hashtag on twitter and I went from laughing at the fans, to genuinly feeling sorry for them.

They are so excited, but they have no idea what's about to happen :messenger_grimmacing_

LOL, the amount of Dragon Ball and DBZ stuff I have in my house post Japan is nuts.

But yeah, pretty much agreed, I've already decided to go through and finish the game just because I've waited so long. My PS4 + retro games are way more interesting to me than anything else.

Console gaming really thrived for the casual person when consoles we more reasonably priced, it worked wonders for the PS2 because 150 fell right into impulse purchase territory. 300-500 dollar consoles don't do that. We need to get them back so there's a wider spread of availability of games, since no one's buying the mid budget games anymore those developers were decimated last gen and I don't think it'll ever come back and indie games won't ever cut it.

Maybe its for the best. Maybe they need their dreams crushed by this excuse of writting.

The best part is...does that teaser showing Joel finding Ellie counts as false ad?

There is a sex scene with Abby? Gross. It keeps getting worse.
Edit: Just watched it. Screamed out in horror. There is definitely a lot of things added in the game to subvert expectations, but that doesn't make it good by default. Sadly in simple minds, most who dislike it are labeled bigots...

I canceled my pre-order. I was ok with some of the story elements. I was hoping the full game would bring a better context.
But it's even worse now that i know what happens. And this character Abby is just the worst.
I still might buy it when it's cheaper.

It'll be fun watching my friend's reactions. They are going in completelly blind.

Realistically speaking, do you guys think Sony will do something after players start complaining about this game? As in, put some pressure over Studios and/or game directors and producers?
This is pure shit, and I kind of feel bad for whoever said "wow, Game of the Generation!"

Unless it affects sales they are not going to care. The game is already banned in many regions but pre-orders numbers are very high so that’s what matters.

This game is gonna sell in millions and will end up being Sony's most successful game of the year. Things will only get worse.

Really depends on how "gamers" react to it. I mean despite all the spoilers I still find myself interested in the game because I personally believe most of this is way overblown till I get context for all of this. I just watched a 2 hour play-through and realized that almost all of the spoilers so far happen in the first couple of hours and the context doesn't make them seem that bad honestly.

But again, all depends on what happens over the next couple of months when the general population plays the game. No way any big corporation is taking what we say seriously.

This. Right here. Is awesome.

I'm going to be amused all weekend imagining people playing the game in this context.

Man, there's gonna be kids and teenagers playing this in their living rooms with their parents around. Imagine how awkward that's going to be. It really is possible to find the beauty in everything.

I'd say the compulsive day one buyers who don't think, don't question, don't criticize & just blindly consume totally deserve what's coming. The entire anti-spoiler culture also needs addressing as well, i.e. people need to realize the companies selling the product have a vested interest in keeping the consumer as blind as possible & under their marketing control, with only the official trailers & suspect "previews" in the mainstream media serving as a purchasing guide.

For example I fortunately knew Arthur
could be sodomized by a bayou rapist
in Red Dead Redemption 2 before reaching that part. Because by that time I'd grown so sick & disgusted with the awful narrative, characters & gameplay I looked at the spoilers online. If I'd endured that part "blind", I'd have been somewhat pissed off. But lesson learned. I'm not going to pay the money & lose the hours playing a 20+ hour game which might totally annoy the hell out of me.

They’ll probably just count their money.

Yeah, I agree with what you guys said. Wokeism seems almost inevitable in games going forward.
Blond Blond , I don't mean to spoil or ruin the remaining sections of the game for you , but the ending has also leaked!

I heard and I'm staying away.

I'm really curious how the general population is going to respond, I had no real connection to the story like others because I found the gameplay more enjoyable is where I'm standing and everything I've seen so far tells me it's a violent semi-open Splinter Cell and I'm down for that.

From the comment section:

Main negative points are:
- It destructures the story of the first title, which might make fans upset.
- Ellie has not the same appeal as playing as Joel.
- Ellie's revenge actions are naive and unreasonable.
- Only provides the point of view as the "victim", but fails to show the point of view as the "perpetrator".
- No development between the characters relationships, for example Ellie and Dina's relationship are already stablished in the beginning of the game and doesn't progress anymore than that.
- Abby is purposely made to look like a bad character in the first half of the game. You progress the game without knowing the characters motives until the end which is when the game show the characters real thoughts. Reviewer said it would be better to show the motives in the beginning of the game instead like in the first game showing Joel's daughter dying.
- Despite the gameplay efforts, the AI enemies don't feel human even if they have names.
- Gameplay mechanics feel a bit outdated for an action adventure game. - Many problems with the story and characters, making this game far from the masterpiece the first one was.
10/10

the only worthwhile thing about TLOU was the story and it's terrible in that regard even :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Sold my PS4 awhile ago. Really enjoyed the first game, probably would've picked this up by default, but looks like the leaks were accurate... Would've been a hard pass.

For someone who missed the drama. What happened now with Last Of Us 2. New information about the games or is it just shit?

I was watching CohhCarnage's stream a bit ago and saw the Joel scene live in its entirety. Yeah, the whole thing just feels really lame. Like, how Joel and Tommy just roll with all of it like everything is A-OK. I mean, in that world, how would you not proceed anything with caution? If not excessive caution.

Also, with Ellie stumbling onto them with Joel, and her retaliating, why on Earth would they spare her and leave her? Why wouldn't they kill her? Why wouldn't they capture her? It just feels silly for them to be like, "Oh no, we're in too deep, we could surely attract the town/city, we should get a move on." But then leave one person alive that heard their names, saw their faces, and heard everything and more. It just seems really silly to me.

That's because they are trying to give Abby (and her crew following her) that kind of aura..... mean, vengeful, but honourable enough not to kill everyone in sight.
