So you're saying people loved the X360 so much, that even if it breaks down multiple times, people would willingly spend the money again to buy faulty hardware?
Yeah because most people would go buy another 360 full price when MS can send you a new one for free. Makes sense
Also if the real install base was closer to 40 million, then why were 3rd parties selling more on the 360 than on PS3? Yeah thought so. Bye.
And they lost that lead far harder now. Or perhaps it's the actual numbers when you factor in the replacements people had to buy for that generation.
It's actually true to an extent. MS was indeed fixing 360s for free mid 2007 but a lot of people weren't sending them (some not aware they could) and were just buying another 360. If it were possible to get a poll out for how many people purchased multiple 360s during the lifespan of the console the numbers would be staggering. Not saying they accounted for 30M consoles but the number is very large.Yeah because most people would go buy another 360 full price when MS can send you a new one for free. Makes sense

PlayStation was already an established brand, was released earlier, had a longer lifespan, and did not have a conflict with its hardware manufacturer. There's a reason MS never used nVidia again.PS2 outsold XBox og by over 6 times
Was there anything more horrible than the RROD?PS3 outsold 360 despite a horrible start and uphill battle
And we all know why. MS made some pretty large mistakes in their launch and marketing of the Xbox One.PS4 outsold Xbox 1 by more than double.....
Past events are not a guarantee for future results. If that was the case, the Wii U would have outsold everything since the Wii did so well. Did not happen. So let's not jump to conclusions here. MS does not seem to be making the same mistakes. This might be the first generation where there is real competition between Xbox and PlayStation, without any obvious major faults on either side.Xbox is never gonna be close to PS again...Try not to cry.....K BYE
Plenty people paid for another 360 like myself.
“Yeah thought so bye”. Stop trying to be quick whitty lol, Doesnt suit you. Are you like 12?
Plenty people bought another 360, when theres broke. Like myself.
Which 3rd party are you talking about? Fifa, Cod and Red dead?
Or Final Fantasy 13, Street fighter 4? Because its not all equal lol
Ive already said the 3rd party was better on 360 so whats your point?
If you dont think having a year advatage, and most the other points I made didn’t help Xbox 360 have an advantage in sales that gen, then you are in denial. They wont have those benefits again going into next gen.
No year advantage, cheaper hardware, better hardware for 3rd party, much more advanced online infrastructure. Having many Playstation titles coming to xbox for the 1st time. These werent advantages? They were and they wont have them again.

Ayamek sa3eedaOoh I forgot you took a break during Ramadan.
Eid Mubarak!
Had it not been for those high defect rates, 360 would have sold closer to the 40 million consoles XBONEX has. There is really not an 75 million base for XBOX outside of rebuying their consoles at such an alarming rate
Plenty people paid for another 360 like myself...

RMA defective console -> buy brand new console -> once your refurbished console arrives, put it in the box of the new one and sell it on eBay as barely used using the receipt as proof. Repeat as necessary.Yeah because most people would go buy another 360 full price when MS can send you a new one for free. Makes sense

That's how people did it around here, anyway.

Rumor:
Xbox Series X Could Release Months (October or September ) Before PlayStation 5.
Ok.And there is zero evidence that the PS3 actually outsold the X360.
So there is evidence. I thought there wasn't.The data indicates that in 2017 the PS3 sales were 3 million higher than the last known data for the X360 in 2014.
So you say no evidence PS3 was in front, then produce evidence it was, then discard evidence because you said so, then increase 360's numbers to PS3's based on no data whatsoever and call it a tie. Because you said so.3 million more in 3 years is not exactly accurate enough to draw any conclusion. It was pretty much a tie.
So PS4 is successful because of this? A fluke? And we all know why. MS made some pretty large mistakes in their launch and marketing of the Xbox One.

RROD were covered under extended warranties. Those numbers aren't factored in final numbers. Also alot of 360 numbers were because of Ring of Death re buys
Facebook articles probablyWhere are people getting "information" from? lol
There's also a rumor that the PS5 would release in October, so it's not necessarily much earlier
Microsoft stopped reporting the X360 sales after 2014. That doesn't mean that X360 sales stopped. Nobody knows the exact numbers, and anyone claiming that they do, is lying. And I don't think I need to explain why you can't compare numbers from 2014 to numbers from 2017. If you want to take the last two known sales numbers that are 3 years apart as a victory for the PS3 to make yourself feel better, go ahead.Ok.

Aww look how cute...
Oh no it's retarded

Yes but many people bought some more and not waitedRROD were covered under extended warranties. Those numbers aren't factored in final numbers.
A month or two isn't going to do shit. The 360 had a year head start, was cheaper, had momentum and accomplished the goal of being last. They need to pray to some Pagan deity to get that advantage again.
Bro I said bye. Don't waste your time writing paragraphs of verbal diarrhea that I won't read

The PS4 was more successful because it did most things right before launch while the Xbox One didn't. That's it.

Kokoloko85 , PS3 probably did win the global tally, Xbox is a less global brand. However, they won every market they wanted to win that generation, full stop. Sales vary a great deal by region, PS4 has outsold the X1 by more than 2:1 globally, however in the US market things look quite a bit different. You have to examine the numbers completely.
Profit isn't really the goal. These people were convinced refurbished consoles had a higher chance of getting another RROD than a brand new one.1. Buy brand new console.
2. If RRoD, get refurbished for free.
3. Buy another brand new console.
4. Sell refurbished console as barely used.
5. Repeat if necessary.
6. Profit?
Why do you say that ? RROD has nothing to do with clock or heat it's a solder issue on Xbox and ylod is a capacitor issue .The only console even remotely being susceptible to a RROD is the one that is running their GPU at clock speeds far over 2 GHz.
Would be great but I still see November 6th as the release date because I don't believe the exclusives will be ready for September or even October. I'm hoping for The Ascent, Gears Tactics and Halo Infinite at launch as that would be huge for me because it would be three games that im going to play and complete.
Where are people getting "information" from? lol
"Did so well" means people who owned 360 games had to re buy their console to play them some multiple times. In my circle of friends alone there were twice as many 360s sold as there were people to play them. This is good for Microsoft hardware shipped numbers , not great for games sales and horrible for user base growth ... people are beginning to forget but RROD memories were one of the driving motivations for many Xbox fans who went with ps4 this gen.I don't get where people get the idea that the 360 was last.

And even then, people forget the RROD. The fact that the console did so well despite the RROD is actually remarkable.
In any case, releasing a few months earlier probably won't have much of an influence. People are willing to wait a few months to get the console they want. The image prior to launch is what is important. It's what ruined the whole Xbox One generation.
Not all not for everyone and not after a certain amount of time . If you bought a launch Xbox and it RROD in 2009 you were SOLyou owned like 20 games and had a year or Xbox live paid up? Sorry bud you're going out to buy another one . That happened to tons of people.Replacements were free.
Im typing so people can see your points are nonsense. 3rd party sales.....
Dont waste your time convincing yourself XBox will outsell PS5 next gen lol.
Or Even come close....
Bye
