Your right am sure it’s carpet to.I always assumed that red texture in the mirror room was carpet, why would it be reflective?
Edit: Why on Earth is that (seemingly dirt) wall reflective at 1:17?

Alt+EnterDoes anyone know how to run fullscreen?
Something like this?Hope some crazy people are working on texture updates too, I like Mario64 but it's hard to look at. All the N64 native stuff is. I actually prefer PS1 era polygons to most of the N64 stuff, even if the N64 games were actually better.
wow that is ugly as sinSomething like this?
I want that source code so bad! Just to see what I can learn from it.
Already downloaded it inb4 "cease and desist". Thank you!GitHub - n64decomp/sm64: A Super Mario 64 decompilation, brought to you by a bunch of clever folks.

This is the source code which was used for this port.
I mean I could never find that "free" Daytona update Sega released that was actually the whole damn arcade game.RIP? That's not how the internet works. Once in the wild the game will be always available to download.

You want them to give their games away for free?Nintendo showing themselves up to be their usual corporate asshole selfs, once again.
Why people are so willing to keep throwing money at these cunts, I'll never understand.
Maybe. You want them to give their 25 year old games away for free?
Anyone here able to help out. My friend has downloaded this, but it runs at an extremely fast speed, limited the HZ to 60 and doesn't seem to do anything.
On my computer I simply lowered the Hz rate to 60 using the windows display settings and that worked perfectly fine. I just had him do what you mentioned and it is now working how it should.i limited frame rate in nvidia control panel and it worked. is that where you limited it?
it needs to be limited to 30, btw.

Is this based on the PC port or some emulator? If it is emulation it must be something old because some effects are missing like the teleportation fade-in/out noise effect. That was fixed in emulator plugins like a decade ago.
Maybe the next step is to have some kind of function that extrapolates pixels to produce better looking 2D assets.
mario 64 in ultrawide ok this is amoozing what a great surprise on a sunday
The 2d text is perfect. Sprites could use the same mario 64 ds look i guess . So no fugly AA on the textures? For that ps1 look (without the wobble ofc)Maybe the next step is to have some kind of function that extrapolates pixels to produce better looking 2D assets.
To me the game doesn't feel right without an octagonal gate on the control stick, so I found a nice program called Xoutput to configure my GCN controller with. Feels indistinguishable from an official release now.
could not load sound data from 'sound/sequences.bin'
Mario 64's Unofficial PC Port Will Look Glorious Once Modders Get Done With It
Ever since a fan-made PC version of Mario 64 was released last month, modders have been having fun updating the nearly 25-year old Nintendo 64 game to give it a fresh, modern look.kotaku.com
Took me 2 min to find it, learn to google properlyI mean I could never find that "free" Daytona update Sega released that was actually the whole damn arcade game.
Look around you, it's the era of the remake and remaster. This would do gangbusters with an official release.. for some reason.I don't think a PC port of a 1996 game that everyone has played would be a big money maker.
