I expect some release date reveals for The Last Of Us: Part II, Dreams and Iron Man VR, a story trailer for Modern Warfare, a CGI announcement trailer for the new Batman game by WB Montreal, a new game reveal from Japan Studio (one of the studio's producers and localization manager teased some news at SoP), new Wild footage with a 2020 release window and a trailer for the recently data-mined Super Street Fighter V update.

Jawmuncher mentioned that this leaker has/had predicted some Nintendo reveals previously. Still, who could trust those people saying the truth?
The elephant in the room is the production cost and a potential creative endeavour that will enable a new Dino Crisis game to sell at least 2 million copies worldwide. Which Capcom R&D has the power to come up with a great concept that will become a convincing certificate to the corridors of power with Capcom Japan, so that they , in turn, would give the green light and foot the bill for the production of a new Dino Crisis game?....
Everything is so dicey with the Dino Crisis series

As Capcom VP of Strategic Planning and Business Development Christian Svensson phrased it quite eloquently back in 2010 :
"Dino Crisis 3 I think is where it went off the rails if I recall. Dino Crisis' success really was an out cropping of Resident Evil 1 and 2. There are discussions, Dino Crisis comes up from time to time, but there isn't any burning desire from R&D or the business side to light that franchise back up again. Until there's an internal champion with something incredible, things just sort of sit there. As much as I love Dino Crisis, I don't think pre-rendered backgrounds; tank-controlled dinos are going to sell to the level that's going to cover the budgets that it takes to make something competitive in that space. Someone internally may cook up an idea, but we haven't seen the fire from R&D yet and no one's come up with the idea yet."

I expect to see the Relase date trailer for The Last of Us Part 2, as suggested by the rumors, and probably another Death Stranding trailer.

I also hope to see a new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake :messenger_smiling_hearts:
(maybe with the release of a demo for the PSN)

They just showed the thing, quite extensively I'd say, in the recent TGS.
Would it be possible to show it further just for the State of Play's sake...
Sounds like a tall order.

I think that both the success of REVII/RE2make as well as Monster Hunter World's have made Capcom more courageous with their lesser known IPs in the West as well as Survival Horror games. I firmly believe that by 2021 we will have not only a Dino Crisis revival, but an Onimusha one as well.

In fact, if both of those end up being next-gen games, I would fly through the roof!

i loved the original TLOU but i find it hard to get excited for the sequel. i was excited way back when they announced it almost 3 years ago.

i just have a feeling the whole game is gonna be a total SJW wankfest start to finish and i honestly can't be arsed with that. maybe i'll pick up the inevitable cash grab PS5 remaster when it is available for dirt cheap.

I think only about 10% wankfest.

The rest will be a 15 hour realistic murder spree involving a bullshit cult (because anyone in a videogame cult deserves death, just like nazis) and a super fucking manipulative story to give teens and other media illiterates the feels.

The only question i have is which books and movies are they going to rip off.

Fake edit: i do hope they have a cartoon gfx option, otherwise I wont be able to play it without vomiting. All this realistic violence shit is gonna turn me into a Nintendo/retro guy.

I'mma keep begging for gyro motion aiming until I die. Please. Bend studios can implement it post launch for Days Gone. Naughty Dog can too. Wild thing is the Vita version of Uncharted has it and I found out Bend studios developed that game too.

So hyped for this.

I really loved multiplayer and I hope they show off some footage.

One of the biggest change is lightning. It never played a huge factor in the first MP and i think thats going to change a lot in this game.

If anything Dino Crysis gets announced at this, I'd be surprised if it was anything more then a basic port or remaster of the originals. A sequel/remake just screams "Video Game Award World Premiere" to me.

TLoU2 is going to relentlessly grey, mud and blood covered revenge fest isn't it.

Like modern Lara Croft but without the anxiety attacks / talks to herself.

Devs have really nailed their "blood and shit on my face" tech. Hope they find something new for next gen.

I loved that parr from tlou where joel got sick and she was going just raw anger on all enemies out there. Just amazing.
But now she much older it could be less emotional if its just revenge so i hope its gonna be much more then that.

I'm incredibly not hyped for TLou 2. I actually really disliked UC4, and I believe that tlou2 will follow the same direction. Boring, bad pacing, lots of exposition and predictable gameplay.

I liked TLoU and was very hyped for it's initially release, but I liked it as a one and done experience. To me it's not a game that's "fun" enough to lend it's self to multiple playthroughs. It has some serious gameplay issues and once you've experienced the story and atmosphere that's all you've got left, and they're nowhere near strong enough to stand up by themselves. It's the complete opposite to Gears of War 1 from where I'm looking.

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for TLoU2. If anything stuff like the dodge mechanic might add some of that extra "fun" I said the 1st one was missing. Although if it's as "on the rails" as the 1st one it might be a pretty moot addition. But what I'm trying to say is I don't understand the near universal blind love the series has. I see a game like Death Stranding splitting opinion, but TLoU2 doesn't seem to have that schism despite it having clear flaws imo. It seems like people would be more than happy with TLoU1 but with a new story.

Same with the Uncharted series in that regards. ND has a major issue with player control vs player experience, they're far too controlling over certain aspects of the gameplay in order to gel with the type of narrative/atmosphere they want the game to convey that they impact the sense of control the player truly has. Of course other developers do this as well, but I feel like they get called out on it more than ND do.

GOOD! The more you dislike ND's games, the better it is for me.

Considering TLOU2 has it's press event the same day, I wish they wouldn't do any in this, but they probably don't have much else. A date for Ghosts of Tsushima would be nice.

It's not blind love.

People love it because they enjoy they game.

My problem with Gears is that you're taking cover and firing weapons throught most of the game.

What I enjoy about UC4 and TLOU is that you can do that and more.

The melee combat has more depth and you don't feel like you're obligated to use your gun.

The thing that TLOU needs is different type of infected enemies.

gears is more like Division, which for me is better cover shooter still. yo urun , you cover , and you shoot. but gears is gears. we need gears still sure. When i want to cover and shoot and change weapons i play Division 2 solo

Hype Train conductor. Works harder than it steams.
So is this pretty much confirmed a TLOU2 thing.
I might not actually watch it live if that's the case.
I'm interested in TLOU just like I'm into the MCU.
But that shit ended with Endgame and what they have planned so far doesn't interest me.
Same with TLOU2, My hype kinda died in the second trailer.

Somehow i dont care.
Not because of all sjw lgbtqhsoi propaganda, not that there will be more than 5 minutes of it but this game is releasing 8 months from now.
Sony is using their remaining 3 major titles to artificially prolong the ps5.
This game will be epic no question about it. The winter section in the first one was something i never experienced before so i know they will have me on edge again in this one.
But fuck off if you drown me with trailer after trailer after gameplay till release like they did with death stranding.

Just got a ps4 pro this month and played a little bit (10h) of Uncharted 4. I honestly didn't like most of it. Production is top-notch but the gameplay...felt like a climb simulator. I never played TLOU, should I do it? How is the gameplay compared to U4?

I wasn’t a fan of Uncharted 4 either. TLOU is leagues better.

Uncharted 4 was a borefest. The only good uncharted was the second one. No other uncharted will ever touch that.
Tlou is different gameplay wise with some stealth mixed into it here and there. Never worked out for me but i am sure you can stealth your way trough most levels.
Adding a limited crafting and upgrade system will enforce you to do some collecting with in the levels.
Over all, to me at least, its a much more enjoyable experience.

Sad truth is Sony have very little need to show much at all, given the state of the competition.
